  1. would that be a device that takes power from the battery and puts it back into the battery  or am i missing the point? is it a phone charger?
  2. is that dragon green then? looks in fab condition, what interior have you got?
  3. front end looks spot on, just like mine :D nice
  4. quick pic of car since fitting coilovers, still need adjusting but much happier that the front can be raised so wishbones aren't inverted
  5. i think a FSH is important if your buying a car from someone who doesn't really care how it works, they just drive it. but i think most will make their mind up when they speak to you and see the car about how well its been maintained. i stopped having mine serviced by a garage at 160,000miles as i thought its silly paying the extra when i can service it myself well enough and doubt i'll be selling it before 200,000 miles. Also i don't think it would add the same value back when you come to sell, paying someones elses labour rate will take more from your wallet over the years
  6. no  not been able to get it all setup yet, camber, tracking etc and i'm still convinced something else is wrong with the front end. Not really driven far since fitting, but the suspension is so much better than before, much nicer over bumps and is plenty of height adjustment (raised my front and can get my foot in the gap now) "SCENE" just a shame my car steers all over the place
  7. how important is that?, as i did mine the other way round, (am sure it all came off that way)
  8. the old rear rubber bits didn't look worn to me, until i compared them to the new ones, they were easy 5mm smaller in height
  9. i just put KW1's on my corrado too, its a VR though i went with all new top mounts from VW, in fact i orded more than i needed and have all the washers, spacers and sleeves from the rear mounts spare (was no point changing them) it only came to £75 ish for all 4 and thats with me wasting money again
  10. i saw some on a shelf once when i was getting my bike fixed but thats my only experience so far. tempted to try another wax but i already bought a collinite, which seems good enough and the tub is going to take years to use up
  11. i always go to sheppards, they know me quite well now  always get at least 10% discount too and they always have a chat.
  12. thats what i did, cut the bolt off, much easier than cutting the brake thing off.
  13. not had many cars in 9yrs of driving, corrado is my 3rd
  14. i use normal unleaded from anywhere, usually tesco though
  15. i just put powerflex rear axle bushing in mine and there's hardly any difference. My OE bushes were shagged though
  16. wow, the 1st pic looks amazing. the dark pearl type colours are definately the best, so classy

    Scam?

"HELLO MCLANE, I VANT TO BUY ZIE CORRADO"
  18. i get new tyres put on rear, it the rears that deal with more sideways forces and require more grip
  19. most manuals i've read say to drive away as soon after starting as possible, i think its something to do with the build up of something and the catalytic convertor
  20. just got inside as its got dark and i've done all i can until tomorrow. ordered new top mounts all round from VW, the rears are lots of little bits, not sure what to get so bought all of it. done the front to rear brake lines today, (long ones) actually pretty easy, rear axle is ready to go back on. Not fully refurbed but its all solid and decent. crappy pics
  21. i've had all that joy too  you can get some discount from VW making it £180, still a lot of money, but i was told they are better than non-VW ones. Also worth noting that i kept having coolant leaks, replaced one thing and another starting, so ended up renewing the whole system :( = expensive if you can't resist a bit of bling
  22. i used the standard carriers that came with the car, the mk4 calipers bolt onto them, i don't think i even need new slider bolts in the end, think the original were reused. also didn't renew the handbrake cable clips, i just bought the cables and they seem to of gone on fine. mine is a VR tho, so not sure how different the g60 is, although saying that i'm sure all rear calipers were the same on all corrados
  23. the mk4 golf calipers are a great upgrade, a little expensive to buy new, but worthwhile viewtopic.php?f=23&t=72885&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=calipers
