  1. What have you got your lowered on joebloggsVR69? Do your centre caps say BBS? Mines say VW...
  2. Badges and wheels, thats it unfortunately (apart from the Mystic Blue colour). It would have been better if VW had put something special in the Storms since they were limited editions etc etc, ah well.
  3. And the same car, although I have the original BBS wheels back on now.
  4. Here you go mate, dropped 40mm on Weitec springs and shocks.
  5. See, for some reason I think my car likes Sainsbury's better than Optimax, it seems to pull better at the lower revs...
  6. So does that mean you use only Sainsbury's or Optimax? lol
  7. I know this has been covered before but no one has actually said what they thought of the Sainsbury's Super Unleaded. From what I gather from the previous posts, the higher the octane the better, but Optimax also additives which others dont? Optimax is 98ron, Sainsbury's is 97ron, but the cheapest Optimax in my area is 100.9p and Sainsbury's was 96.9, so I thought I'd try it and tbh, I dont notice a difference at all between the two. Does anyone know if Sainsbury's Super has additives like Optimax does? I mean it does drive fine but as said before Optimax cleans aswell, I don't want to lose that aspect of Optimax.
  8. Lol, thank you RADO.001 :D
  9. Here's my baby, and yes, I chose that location specifically, hehehe. Standard exhaust and K&N cone filter.
  10. Hahahahahahaha, now you're just rubbin it in mate, ya cocky bastard! (no pun intended, lol) I'm in my final year of doing Dentistry :)
  11. Aaahhhh, if my engine was fekked, I'd be giving it a good thrashing too, old chap, lol. I'm takin a break from studying now, just had food.... hmmmmm, lol, cant go straight back to studying after having a nice meal :D And how the hell did you get a 24v engine for £870????
  12. Erm why do you take me so literally? lol Just havin a laugh mate. I'm not the most responsible person in the world. And to be honest, like Chris says, it aint gonna make too much difference now. My engine would need a full rebuild even if someone was to buy it (for not much money). Jeez, all I said was remove mechanical sympathy and the car goes faster! Lighten up dude :)[/quote:2df13] Lol, I wasnt trying to make it sound as if I was comin down on you or anything, was jsut confused. I can be forgiven for not understanding the joke.. I'm studying right now and my brain is jam packed with other info! lol
  13. Erm, why are you trying to kill the engine? I assume its not worth trying to sell it?
  14. I know exactly what you mean :)
  15. Lol, hopefully I'll be at a stage (soon enough) where money shouldnt bother me too much, but right now, it still does bother me, lol.
  16. If my sums are correct, they seem to add up to more than that, but I will give Stealth a call and see what they say. Anyone else any ideas of who have good prices for these mounts?
  17. Excellent, thanks man :-) And where do you recommend buying them from?
  18. With the mounts that you recommend Kev, how much more vibration (and any other negative points) is there compared to OE?
  19. The car has "only" done 69k, just reached 69 yesterday in fact, but given that it's more than 10yrs old, I'll assume that the bushes have perished with age aswell...
  20. I'd be in for buying a BMC if you get a group buy on the go mate.
  21. Lol, sorry but I can only answer the question in your thread title. The other question I'm not too clued up on.
  22. As far as I know only cars including and onwards from 1993 need a cat, so you should be fine without a cat.
  23. Lol, I really missed the growl so shoved the K&N back on and thought I'll leave it till I get the BMC. Loved the sound of it but I noticed a lag in acceleration, after 3 days that lag I couldnt handle and so swapped it back for the original again, lol. Soooo cant wait till I get the BMC now...
  24. Searched, double checked and ordered, thank you olly :)
  25. I'll defo be gettin the rear bushes replaced within the next month or so anyway so thats ok. The brake bias valve, is freeing it up as good as getting a new one? I might actually have to buy a new one, (I need to replace the rear axle and I've heard that the bias valve might need replacing as a result), and is VW the only place to get it? I ask 'cos I just checked and its £75 + VAT from the stealers.
