Lol, dont I feel stupid now, lol.... So 106 for the oil is fine yeh? Damn, I ever went through the instruction stuff for the MFA so I would know what each figure was for, how can I have missed it. Oh well, live and learn. Well the gauge for the water was stuck around 100, not changing much at all actually, phew, feel a lot better now. Thanks a lot h100vw, much appreciated.

I honestly havent a clue what it is, dont even know where it is yet, will have to check the Bentley manual when I get back from my weekend trip away. What a time to find out about something like this eh, instead of being able to totally enjoy and relax on the trip, I'll have the C at the back of my mind. Aaaahhh, the joys of having a 'Rado eh, lol

I am only comparing them to something like uprated suspension kits (different idea I know) but you get where I am coming from. Living with uprated suspension is harder than living with stock suspension. I just want to make sure I make the right decision. I know it's not a big deal but when money becomes kinda tight, you wanna make sure you havent wasted it ya know.

Yes, on the MFA, except, it was on 106 more than it was on 104. I was driving around town, for about 15 miles, fairly hot day (22degC), not ripping it to the max but going up to 3500-4000rpm in 2nd now and then. Stuck in traffic for quite a bit. I know the engine would get quite hot in these conditions but I would have expected it to at least cool down a bit ya know. I cant see any coolant leaking through the radiator though.
-
But dont the uprated mounts cause more vibration through the dash?
-
How can I check if it's "broken" or not though? Reason I ask is cos today my water temp stayed at 104 (the lowest), most of the time it was at 106, so I'm kinda worried.
-
In which way does it make a difference? How are uprated engine mounts different from the OE ones?
-
Since I am thinking of fans, should I be thinking of a new radiator too? 1995 with 64k miles on it. I havent checked the radiator yet, is there any easy way to do this or would I need to take the fans off?
-
You sound like you're fairly confident, lol. Cool, I'll get that checked. How much is it? I mean included the part and labour to get it fitted? Should I stick woth OE or get aftermarket? I'm not looking for any improvements in anything.
-
I want to change my radiator fans to aftermarket ones, lighter and better flow. Can anyone suggest where I should go? Thanks in advance

I find that when I am in first gear, the gearstick vibrates back and forth, is this normal or do I need to get something checked?

You get different degrees of brittleness of wax, and with the less brittle wax, I'm pretty sure it can be done. Use the "beauty wax" type of stuff rather than your ordinary "candle wax".
-
I would reckon it wouldn't have the smooth details on the surface, since it's just for kids, they wouldnt go to the trouble of making it ultra accurate? Anybody tried wax at all? Or would that damage the badge?
-
Lol, all great suggestions on how to make a duplicate badge, but I still need to know the font for my keyring, lol :-P
-
More details on that metal Corrado keyring please?
-
How would I go about doing that Supercharged? This is what I want it for http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1 Except I asked the seller to make a personalised keyring for me of Storm and he said the cost would come down if I was to tell him the font. If I was to just give him a picture then he would have to make a template from it and therefore take more time, hence increase cost.
-
Hey everyone, I am trying to get a keyring made with Storm written on it, but I need to know which font it is. Can anyone help me out please?
-
With a bit of searching, I think my stage one fan doesn't come on either. I'm not entirely sure but I'd rather be safe than sorry later on you know, it's not like it's expensive eh :)
-
Is it a thermoswitch or a thermostat that needs changing? GSF doesn't seem to have a thermoswitch, or would it come under something different?
-
A general question about the biting point on the clutch in the VR6. Are they supposed to have a very "tight" bite or a fairly progressive one?

what make tyres to buy for 205/45/16 rims
Dr Forinor replied to brian g60 corrado's topic in Exterior
Why would 215/40 result in the speedo being out a little? Newbie question, sorry. -
My water temp usually sits between 95-105, hardly ever goes above this, but hardly ever goes below 95 once it's warmed up. Is this normal? Sorry if it's a stupid question but it's my first time ever owning a "real" car and it being a special one, I'm very paranoid.

Ah, that's right, and I'm bloody glad you did tell me about this place. It's good to know there is a Corrado forum that is based in UK and that people in the UK are just as mad about the Corrado as I am. Good feeling, thanks for introducing me to this place. Will definitely be sticking around, if not for fun then for the countless problems I am sure to encounter over the happy years to come, hehehe. :)

Oh feck.... I think my theory will remain a theory then, there's no way I can afford to have 2 sets of tyres and switch between the 2 every time a MOT has to be done, bummer. It's just aswell I posted here, thanks for all the help guys.
