I would by a spare cat if modifying one into a decat. Cut it, remove the precious contents and weld. Then sell the good stuff to a metal scrap man.

I have h&r rss clubsport coilovers on mine. Obviously a different offering entirely but I thought I'd say that even these are comfortable and civilised compared to a lot of Corrado set ups I've been in. The quality is great too. Been n the car years and are working well. -

Ah shame but that's the thing with older cars I guess. You either need to fix / maintain them yourself or pay out for someone else to do it.
