new Rado VR6-some people might recognize it-update
cymru-corrado replied to cymru-corrado's topic in Members Gallery
im quite tempted to be abit boring and just go for the same ones i had on my valver (in pic still in sig) as they were fairly simple yet a nice choice imo and the dishes looked nice and shiny when clean , used to catch the sun superb when driving and blind other other drivers. :) when i getting vr6 obv the valvers wouldnt fit due to stud setup so sold them on car otherwise would have kept them and couldnt be bothered with adapters when there available in 5x100 anyway. originals.... -

next on the shopping list  the exhaust is being changed next week , just going for a simple oval tailpipe, then rims are next up. Suprised it didnt go sooner myself when it was first listed i wasnt really in market for one but as it was still then when i was and on budget snapped 'Wedge' up straight away. -

the coillies were a great choice, as the car handles superb, most of the other touches i would have done in time (maybe minus interior) but as they are already on the car bit of a bonus and reason i bought it. -
keeping it in the family, picked up Ryan S' Rado VR6 on sunday eve, now mine  Know Oakley and another person on here had it before, rest assured it will be looked after, been put on social use only let demo car take the commuting abuse. Goes without saying car is in fantastic condition and will be at a few shows this year Only been cleaned after snow today and a few little things done, But there will be a few minor tweaks. A few piccies Rear liner, and obligatory breakdown Corrado toolbox with pikey fixing mod to stop it flying around the boot. :D Does actually work a treat. new headunit and might be able to spot TT pedals.

some lovely v-dubs in that, nice find

normal coolant temp around 90degress oil depends on weather conditons but around the same really in summer can creep up to a round 100 , some people get slightly higher some lower
-
if its the 150bhp version it will be the anniversary model which are really nice cars with a lot of poke in them and as said above can be remapped to have more.

my ex's next door neighbour had a rado which is now on ebay, she always thought i was him when i turned up

your just cutting off your heater but means you dont have warm de-misting fans either just cold air, so this time of year best to get it seen to quickly as makes driving the car more comfortable with a heater and de-misting fan

fair play you were robbed there, a new flip key including blade, transmitter and coding should be around £160 all in.

my Rado started bitching at me before so i ripped its heart out and chucked it replacing it with a new one. Think it knew the score after that and has been moderatly behaving since. i Know Campbell0240's has given him grief at times resulting in a few dings in the wing courtesy of his fist. :)

one flip key, one alarm fob, overide key and steering lock key , nice and simple as can possibly be.

Heater matrix... can it be fixed with rad weld?!
cymru-corrado replied to PhilSatch's topic in Interior
managed to do it with facia in (to lazy to remove it) on all the swaps i've done does make getting the box out and back in easier though. On Campbells swap he just pulled whole dash back a shade (with his bare hands like an animal) so box popped out easier. a hoover is also recommended for this as your footwells are likely to be bogging afterwards. -
car due out of bodyshop soon - new rims...
cymru-corrado replied to Pukka's topic in General Car Chat
yeah hopefully i have! its had a fair bit of work done recently so happy that its still nice and strong! lol - havent heard that one before!  cheers scott wait til the sunroof packs up, the matrix blows and the spoiler stops working, after you replaced the cracked fog light..... only joking ,am i? welcome to Rado ownership -
Heater matrix... can it be fixed with rad weld?!
cymru-corrado replied to PhilSatch's topic in Interior
in Parrot style 'Dash does not need to come out, dash does not need to come out' goes for both early and facelift cars. and if you take it to a garage to be done and they say it does get in your car and drive off as they'll charge you twice as much doing it that way. -
as said just go into dealers and get LHD drive spec ones, ETKA lists LHD, RHD as well as us spec , jap spec, s.africa spec etc etc.

Heater matrix... can it be fixed with rad weld?!

just need to remove the lower trim from both drivers and passenger side and glovebox needs to come out, only really fiddly bit is putting one of the vent control wires back in. ive done 4 of these like this without removing dash, a couple on my own but does help if you have 2 sets of hands. -

some photos on here look worse as people have taken out the dash, which dont actually need to do, its about a 4hr job otherwise. -
GSF tanks are prone to dodgy level sensors, if its a vag one then could be dead and prob worth replacing cap if its a black one to.

Your lucky the bint that rang even knew it was a VW as said above to alot of people in the industry a car is just another car with the exception of a Lambo etc or a car that they used to own or interested in. when Campbell came up are way to pick some bits up before and gave his Rado a blip one of the (up his @rse) sales guy's couldnt get it through his head that this charged VR6 Rado would demolish a MK5 GTI, whereas one of the techies thought it was quite an interesting car.

How many forum members plan on NEVER selling their Corrado?
cymru-corrado replied to godskitchen's topic in General Car Chat
cant see me selling maybe put her on limited mileage and get a banger for rainy days runs. Thing is with that , i dont want to be in one of the situations on the road which either requires the Rado or wish you were driving in it at the time. post number 535 ,anyone get the connection or am i the only sad one? :D -
offer it with 17's as extra ??

Worst thing some has said about ur Corrado
cymru-corrado replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
had the Scirocco comments and collorado, cant people read? other than that people dont really have a clue what it is. girls just dont get it so dont even bother trying, they always moan the seat is too low,'your not driving it , (you wont ever drive it) so just sit back relax and shut up!........and stop fiddling and touching things ' is my usual response.
