  1. do you have any late spec front bumper indicators?? i need a drivers side one if so :-)
  2. not as far as i know, the brakes dont look to be have been touched for a while? I'll clean and check the connector again tonight if i get chance, and see if that makes any difference?
  3. yeah, i've tried that, and it makes no difference......so does that mean new pump, and a complete bleed thru of the braking system then? if so, i'll get on with it one evening this week :-)
  4. Hi peeps, we've got a raddo in at work, that im doing some paintwork on, and the chap wants me to get everything up and running properly. he has an ABS issue, front right ABS sensor (which is on order, and will be here monday) but he also has the following fault code on VAG Com.... Whats it likely to be? I've been told its most probably an Internal Pump problem? No wirries if so, as i have a spare pump in the garage, but just wanted an opinion first??
  5. That looks like a very good idea mate.....hope it all comes off..... I'd be very interested to know what storms are still about.
  6. thats not good mate, there were only 10 of each colour anyway....shame to see another one go..... :-(
  7. yeah, just be nice to know i suppose? It seems mad how many corrado's are appearing for spares / repair these days....either there are gonna be alot of people with projects, or their numbers are starting to dwindle.... Has any1 seen the storm bade on ebay for £50.00??? thats mad, even worse though is the gear gaitor for £125.00 buy it now?? i think thats insane!!!
  8. perhaps we should start some kind of register?? i miss mine, think perhaps i should get it out to play again for a bit :-)
  9. ok, i stand corrected........ :notworthy:
  10. think i've heard it called mucky mauve?? or at least mk3 golf's in the same colour???
  11. i've got a standard airbox for my VR, and a drilled one also, run both with a k and n panel, and dont notice the diff really? However, the sound from a non drilled airbox, is a much smoother, and subtl - almost luxury sound, compared with the aggressive, angry - awesome sound of a drilled one. Depens where im going, if i go on hols in the C, i have changed it over to the non drilled one, so its quieter on long journeys, but i do miss the sound now i havent driven her in a while:-(
  12. cool man, glad its all worked out ok for ya. As someone has said, and intersting set of reply's :-) I didnt realise about not starting cars in storage etc....its a good job i havent started mine for a while, ha ha. Poor thing is hiding away in the end of a container, feeling unloved.... :help:

    Corrado TDi?????

im now looking into doing this...... I have an old g60 shell sat round the back of my mates that i purchased to do this to it..It's been hit hard in the sill, and needs body repair down the offside, but as i work in a bodyshop, this isnt a problem. I have spoken to supercharged, and am awaiting a few bits of info from him... Also, incidently, i have a mk3 golf TDI, and its for sale, as soon as it sells, im gonna buy me a written off mk4 golf gt tdi, and get going. Now i've read this thoguh, i perhaps feel, i should just break the mk3, and put the engine in mine, with new injector nozzle's, a new turbo, and a remap? Only reason im thinkin this is because i've had the mk3 over a year, and it does indeed return over 60mpg (even had 65 with the missus driving it daily for about 6months.) and thats a proven 65, worked out on fuel used, and miles covered..... I know the mk4 engine uses all different engine mounts, but these can be converted, im sure the block may well even have the mounts on it, that just need to be drilled / tapped out to mount mk3 style/corrado mounts onto, though im not sure, as i havent looked that much yet. Failing this, just weld in mk4 style mounts onto the C chassis legs, The onyl problem i can see is the 6spd gearbox mount, as this is totally diff from the C mounting system. Wiring again could be an issue, but anything can be achieved with the right amount of time, and diagrams. I just LOVE corrado's, and i know if i had a TDi one, i'd be well chuffed, and it'd be mine forever. I've wanted one ever since i saw supercharged's one at a local meet a few years back. I also have a VR6, so if i need the noise, i'll go out in that :-)

    Patch or respray?

I'm in London so not too far away (where abouts is the bodyshop?). Booking some time off work in a couple of weeks so can pop down and show you what I need done! we're near downham market, up the a10 from cambridge? Prob 45 mins from cambridge ish i'd imagine? We also may be moving workshops very soon, to a much nicer one, all going well, we may be in by the start of december. When are your weeks off??

    Mig welder question!

I bought myself a Snap on 130a welder a year ago, 2nd hand from ebay, a bargain at only 72 quid, and every1 who has ever welded with it thinks it amazing. Its made by cebora under licence for snap on, but they are brill. It has 4 power settings, lowest is perfect for bodywork, whilst the highest can penetrate 3.5mm easily. Buy the best you can afford when it comes to welding, as mentioned, wire feed motors are crap on the cheaper ones, but also, the more expensive ones you can buy every single little component for them separately, meaning if it breaks down, you can repair it easily, and relatively cheap. I have just completed welding an entire Bay window camper with mine, and i can honestly say, its a great little machine.

    Patch or respray?

where abouts are you based?? i work for a bodyshop which specialises in classics, and restoration, we mainly do aston martins, vw's, and classic bmw's, and i am a raddo fan myself, i own 2 currently, lol. however, you may well be a million miles away, and we could be unable to help :-( As said above though, depending on where abouts in the panels the bits are, spot repairs/ blow ins might be possible, and would keep the price down to a minimum :-)

  22. Hi there, this has probably been asked before, but i cant find anything using the search menu :-( Will a GT TDI mk4 golf 6speed gearbox fit in a raddo? If so, what mods need to be done if any? Also, if it will not, what gearbox am i looking for to do a 6speed conversion? Im going to be building a TDi raddo for myself as a daily runaround, and toy, and it will be built in a spare g60 shell i have laying about :-)
  23. right then, sorted this out, just needs setting up properly now...oh,and the small added problem of a knackered water pump...thats next on the list......
