  1. I want one of those remote things, is yours just a motor that pulls the door open then?
  2. Guess i'm pretty lucky, my garage has power 'n everything. Wish I knew about more about mechanics to be able to do some operations on my C!
  3. Zippy, as long as you haven't got a passnger just go up close on one side and you'll have almost 2 feet... be careful though! :) EDIT: Or get in and out through the boot! ;)
  4. Mine is garaged all the time at the moment. My garage is also very small and getting in and out sin't easy (and i'm small!) I have a large piece of card on the wall to protect the door. I wish my garage was another foot wider! Anyway it does the job and it's nice to know that the C is locked away from evil people :)
  5. Yep mine is the same, think the piece of rubber is called the 'weather stip' anyway, mine bows out in the middle - it is annoying.
  6. Dark blue something on an L plate just going down the hill into Polzeath today at about 3.30pm...
  7. I have to say there really aren't many (if any) Corrado colours that I actually dislike. On the whole I think the C got a great (and large) sellection of colours. My Favourites... Ice Grey Violet Silver Dragon Green (Gotta be loyal to my beast! ;) )

    Recaro Seats

I think 16v pays about that for his and he's your age...
  9. Didn't some valvers get Dusty Mauve as well? Thought I remembered one for sale on here a while back. Still a rare colour though.
  10. This one sold for £7.5k with a few more miles. Ok this is turning into a personal attack so i'm leaving it there...
  11. £5.5k for a 33k VR6?? Yeah right! In the For Sale section your're getting 100k cars for that sort of money at the moment! :) As long as the car has been serviced etc. it will probably be fine! He's probably going to add pics that's why he's put it in Members Gallery..
  12. Welcome to the Forum. Good find I reckon, 33k is about as low as they come. Mileage isn't everything though and cars (especially VR's) don't really like sitting around or doing short trips but for 7k it sounds like a bargain. Let's see some pics!
  13. Cool Top Gear, I just watched it of the website. I liked the 'wood & pipe tobacco' comment. :)
  14. The Wiki Article.. http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... eplacement
  15. Looks pretty dusty in that second pic! 3954, is that the price?
  16. Yeh how does that work then? Some executive vehicles are completely blacked out!
  17. Thanks a lot guys means a lot as you all have lovely cars as well! :) scarlett, next is the OBD2 conversion @ Stealth in April, i'm taking her up a week before the RR, that will clear me out financially for a while! I'm also thinking of getting spring caps and lowering the rear a notch (a la NickVR6) because she is just a smidge too high at the moment - will probably attempt this myself... Maybe within the next year i'll get the seats retrimmed, right now i'm thinking about black leather with green piping :) I would also like a peloquin LSD and gearbox rebuild. By the times that's done i'll probably be 25 so i'll either get her supercharged or depending on the state of the engine - get a 24v or R32.. 8) I also really want a set of those speedlines kev has got I think they look fantastic, once I have them I can fit some 312mm brakes. So yeah, i've got a lot planned, but as with everyone it's only the money slowing us down!
  18. Walesy, I thought for a sec then you'd chopped my car out of that picture, very similar conditions! Yeh she's a rebel of the law! Decided I wont bother taxing her until March so I can get a full months and my moneys worth! :) selbekk, thanks mate. :) I'm trying not to go too extreme. I'm thining about tinting the rear lights all red & doing the front & rear VR6 badge red then getting red MK4 calipers when I upgrade the brakes... Not sure yet though.
  19. Pictures taken today, also February calendar entries (vote trig ;) ). Taken on Polzeath beach, can't be many beaches that are as dead as this in the winter and as busy as it is in the Summer! I had to run to pull the car forward straight after taking the first one as the tide came in very quick. Would have been one hell'ava picture if the sea washed my car away! Corrado now sporting a black grill badge (who needs engine conversions ;) ).
  20. 17's in good condition would be worth £500ish so a bit more than that I s'pose?
  21. I'm suprised it didn't fall to pieces! I've seen cars doing movie stunt jumps before (over non-existent bridges etc.) and they complete shatter on landing!

    heater is busted

Is it early or late heater controls?
  23. canopus70, there's nothing wrong woth your english mate! Welcome to the forum. :)
  24. Most people get the chains done at around 100k or a little above. Mine is on almost 130k with original chains Andi the CF admin has done over 200k on original chains & tensioner. The actual cause of the noise is friction from the chain on a worn tensioner, it is the tensioner that causes the problem.
  25. Could well be the timing chain & tensioner although thrashing it about with no oil wont do any favours to the engine or the way it sounds. The chain rattling noise is usually most noticeable around 1200revs and sounds a bit like a marble in a can! It could just be tappet noise. Chains/tensioner job usually costs £400-£600 but lots of people get the clutch done at the same time because it's easily accessable at the time and wont cost much extra.
