I'd imagine your gromet stands out a little bit more compared to mine iow_corrado_g60, on a darkish C you hardly notice it. Still would be nice to have it properly done :)
-
K-rado, thanks dude :) iow_corrado_g60, I know mate - it's cool ;) Not sure exactly what is involved in the conversion, that's why i'm paying Vince! The whole management of the engine will be changed, new TB, MAF, Inlet Mani, engine loom & ECU. No more ISV :). At worst i'm hoping for better fuel economy and no more stalling. At best.. who knows! Ok here ae the tinted lights fitted! Really happy with them, thinking about getting a red VR6 grill badge to match them now & eventaully when I upgrade my brakes i'll have red painted calipers :cherry: Excuse the bird crap on the garage wall!
-
If you're thinking of going VR then definately just buy the whole car! Sell your G60 whack a supercharger in there.. :)
-
The colour match is even better than that picture does it justice. I used Savage paint as recommended by gradeAfailure it took 7 coats over the orange and I then put a couple of coats over the red as well to get the colour spot on. I've done a Wiki article on it as well:- (not finished yet) http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... ear_Lights iow_corrado_g60, you mind we get to Stealth in one piece mate, I can't miss out on dinkus' cooking!

If the lines aren't crossing at 5252 then the curve is wrong mate. Get your money back! ;)

Sneak preview of what i've been doing all weekend... Pictures with them back on coming tomorrow. :)
-
I bought mine from Exeter and it had previously been up t'country somehwere or other. Would have been good if it was mine though!
-
Yes that is correct.. http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/868/

Barrowfield in Newquay? I'm afraid not, think my rado's only been to Newquay once before and I didn't park it there.. :)
-
Probably for the same reason my girlfriend prefers her Ford Ka to my VR, lovers rivalry ;)
-
Great name/avatar, 210bhp is a good figure for a standard VR6. Maybe you should look at getting a Bigbore Throttle body with your remap, I reckon you'll get a better result that way.

I made a makeshift spraybooth today out of an entire copy of the Cornish Guardian. Been doing my rear lights... :)

Bushes will deteriorate whether they are indoors or out & they will have got wet at some point in their life. Rubber doesn't last forever. Are you serious about the brow spoiler? Lupo wipers & loom sounds like a good plan. :)

http://www.ebaumsworld.com/2006/02/autopark.html No more parallel parking then! Trust BMW, yet another gadget to take control of the car for you & something for Clarkson to moan about!

I'm just going on what Tempest said from his meeting with VW RE: Rocco. That particluar picture has been floating around for months. EDIT: And in various different colours!
-
Try a search in future mate, loads of threads on this. Have a look at this thread.. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20624 I'll update the Wiki with some pictures later.

It's my twin! Give or take 100k. You might want to think about changing the bushes if you've got money to spend mate, rubber bushes will have deteriorated whether the car has been driven or not. I can also see why you want to change the ride height. I've got used to my Koni/HR setup and yours does look a little high now as standard. If you get coilovers you can always jack it up and make it look standard if you want. I'd ditch the CC grill for a standard one as well. I don't know if a brake overhaul is really essential, i'll be changin mine eventually but my car isn't a mint 'time warp'. Standard brakes aren't that bad! HTH, you've got a lovely example there keep it standard if you can mate. :)

VR6 Hesitating / misfire at low revs [now fixed!]
Trig replied to CorradoWannabe's topic in Engine Bay
I would of said check the plugs but you say it is idling ok so perhaps not, is it definately idling ok? Harder to notice if the car is misfiring with 6 cylinders. -
Very nice mate. Black wheels do look great on black C's but that's it IMO, yours look very nice. :) Look forward to seeing this car in a week. :D
-
http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... ter_change there you go. No you don't have to jack it (unless it's really low), 5.5litres should do it.
-
I'm also tinting my lights at the moment, done all the prep work and masking just waiting for the paint to arrive. gradeAfailure, I took yours & scarlett's advice from a previous thread and ordered 'savage' tinting spray... was this a bad move then?? Progress so far... http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... s&rcid=836

It may well be fine but I would we weary of oil that cheap mate! That's cheaper than tesco value motor oil! I try not to skimp on oil at all. :)
-
T'ain't real anyways so you can love it or hate it, it doesn't exist. :)
-
Don't know if it'll be of any help mate but you could have a read through the G60 Tuning Guide in the Wiki. It is designed for the newer more standard G60 owner but it may be of some use!

Thank God there're people like you out there restoring Rado's! Most of them are just broken for parts these days as it's the best way to make money from them. Either that or they are written off! If you check the paint code in the service book or in the boot it should be LC6P - that's dragon green (no such colour as emerald AFAIK). Mine is dragon green, take a look at my members gallery to compare, link is below.. Let's have a look at some pictures then!
