  2. yep happened to me! they are about £10 each from vag
  3. i doubt it would run if that was the case. likly that the timing is out, get a strobe on it to set it up.
  4. Not sure how important this is, but you could always crank the car with the king lead disconnected to get oil moving? Or spray some ptfe spray in there as the guys with the bots return mod?
  5. Hi guys, One of mine (the passenger side) is all but about to give up. I noticed excessive roll on the way back from uni today when putting weight on that side so i need to change them. Which ones should I use? I have looked through the vr6 topmount threads but have to admit I am still clueless. is this what i need from gsf? 45737K STRUT TOP MOUNTING KIT CO VR6 8/91 > 11.00 Add or should i just stick to normal 4cyl ones that gsf do.
  6. if its still on vw shocks you shouldnt need to change the camber as it is fixed. unlike the early mk1 setup. you can however buy adjusting bolts that are thiner

  15. now im not sure if the 2l has 2 pumps (but think it does) the one in the tank has a small filter on its base, take it off run it under the tap/wd40 put it back on and it may just help....worth a look anyway :-)
  16. they do adjust auto, but only with in a range.....if the timing is way out to start with then its never gonna manage to sort it out 100%.. check all static timing marks etc... Maybe the knock sensor is dead???

  20. Indeed, very true.... just stay away from photons - it just messes with your head! On the wheels subject you do realise that the less stretched a tyre is the safer and potentially better it will handle..
