  1. The shield on my cat has somehow disappeared.. think I might have struck something low at some point :? So I'm after a replacement shield, as shown in the pic. Anyone able to help?
  2. Mine still does it, only at lowish speeds. I've also replaced all the engine mounts, and that's made no difference.
  3. Mine's also dripping a bit where the sump meets the gearbox. I was wondering if it was the sump gasket, which I'll be replacing soon, but I guess it's worth replacing the other seals while I'm at it. Dont suppose anyone has the part numbers for the other seals? :)
  4. Well, it looks like Venom cant get hold of replacement bits anymore.. So I emailed FK directly and they're gonna send me the bits from Germany :) I've ordered the top & bottom spring plates for all 4 corners, as they're probably all on their way out
  5. Hi, I just posted an ad, G60 for sale, but forgot to include the current mileage. Could the title of the advert be changed to "Corrado G60, 97k miles" please Thanks :)
  6. I had my car jacked up today, checking the springs. I've got coilvers, Konigsport Silverline X's. There's 2 plates under the spring which can be adjusted to alter the height. The bottom spring plate just fell apart when I touched it! Can this be replaced? Any ideas where I can get a new one..? :( I can't even find a website for them...
  7. I dont think VW sell the black ones anymore, well that's what I was told
  8. I had a similar thing, with a battery that's only 2 years old which gets trickle charged in my garage when not in use. Same as you, it kept draining after a few minutes and wouldnt turn over. So I went to ECP and bought a new battery, and now it's fine :)
  9. Some more pics Pic 1 - Rear doorcard, how the original seal sits over it Pic 2 + 3 - Rear doorcard, with new seal sitting under it Pic 4 - ABS cover Pic 5 - Drivers footwell cover
  10. They're very good, very similar to the real one. I've got one :)
  11. They only made corrado's up to '95 :) The Bentley manual is good, but it's American, which is why it says 90-94 (thats the period they sold them over there) There are some things in the manual which arent relevant to the UK VR6, but it covers most stuff. I bought mine from Amazon (US or Canada site, I cant remember) and it came to £50 delivered :) That was in 2004 though
  12. I dont think there's 2 sizes, it probably refers to the diameter of the 2 tubular parts on the seal
  13. I'd be interested, my original dealer was John Fox, Nottingham. I think they are now only selling Audi's.. I've got the original tax disc holder, but it's falling apart, so would like a replacement :) The original address: John Fox Ltd. Vernon Road Basford Nottingham Nottinghamshire NG6 0AA

  15. Washed the car, no leaks. Tight as a gnat's ar$e
  16. Oh actually, maybe I misread it! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/9550930.stm ..so that suggests that only the races they are showing on TV will be shown on the website. Damn it!
  17. Woke up to this shocking news, BBC and Sky are to share the F1 coverage from next year. BBC will only show half the races live... http://www.planetf1.com/news/3213/7066399/BBC-And-Sky-Sports-To-Cover-F1 :( ---------- Post added at 09:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:57 AM ---------- Oh, I've read that uk users will be able to watch all the races live on the BBC website
  18. Not water tested it yet, will probably give the car a wash tomorrow. I cant imagine it letting in any water, the seal fits so tight :)
  19. Fitted the passenger side door seal today. Some tips: I wouldnt advise measuring the old seal, you'll probably get it a little bit wrong and end up having to order some more seal! (*cough* ..words of experience!) It's best to order 8mtrs, (9mtrs is too much) then cut 2 lengths of about 3mtrs 80cm. This is actually longer than it needs to be, but that's deliberate. use a hammer/mallet to gently tap the seal on to the door frame. It fits *very* tightly, so you might struggle to push it on by hand. If you find the seal dropping from the top of the door frame, then it's not been fitted tightly enough. (This is why I suggest using a hammer). Once you've fit the seal, you'll see that it's approx 25cm too long. You should mark where you need to trim it, then remove the seal from the car and chop off the excess. The end result is a door seal which fits perfectly. You might want to trim the lip where the ABS cover goes, like on the original door seal. I did, but to be honest, I dont think you actually need to. The slight difference of the new seal means the lip doesnt get in the way of the cover. Rear door cards - the lip on the original door seal goes over rear door cards. With the new seal, you can't really put the lip over the cards, as it just doesnt sit right. It's better just to tuck it behind the door cards instead. I havent got pic, but I'll try and take some tomorrow.
  20. Apparently he put this subtle message in one of the issues..
