Hmm I wonder if he fitted it properly, or used the existing alarm wiring (meaning some of the features wont work) http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?58829-Cobra-4138-Cat-1

Looks like the server is caching his original image, this should work:

To be fair, everyone I spoke to over the phone was genuinely helpful, so I don't know why the order took so long.. well, apart from Heritage not putting my door number on the original package. I'll order direct from Classicparts next time :)
-
...8 weeks
-
Hmm.. mine cost me £2.35 for the rubber o-ring and £7.04 for the rad elbow. Maybe they threw it in for nothing, as they had 2 lots of everything I ordered :) I assume we're talking about the rubber ring, and not the 2 metal rings that are part of the elbow?

Snow? No Problem! Turn your Rado Into A Snow Plough!

It comes as shown in the pic. No screws or rubber o-ring come with it. The two metal screw guides are part of the item.

VW Heritage should have another rad elbow in stock, because they ordered it again for me from germany, after the first delivery failed to reach me. I spoke to them yesterday and the guy I spoke to said they now had 2 lots of everything I ordered. Try giving them a call and ask them, before they send it back to Germany. Sorry mate, don't want to sell my one, it's been difficult enough getting this one! :)

I finally got my rad elbow today from VW Heritage... I ordered it on October 10th..!!! They said Royal Mail failed to deliver it about 3 weeks ago. It turns out VWH didn't write my address properly on the original package, they missed out my door number.. Hope you get yours faster

Anyone ever used VW's Classic Parts Centre in Germany?

Some info in these 2 threads http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?58660-vw-classicparts.de-How-to-order-parts http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?59345-Corrado-Radiator-top-flange -
Pics look fine to me, they are 800px wide :)

I think water gets under the lacquer, and that's why they go all milky. Here's a thread regarding the problem: http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/246448.aspx?PageIndex=1 They can be refurbed with a burnished finish, but I think they still go funny after a while :( Those VW center caps cost a fortune, I was watching these on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250936147656  Your wheels look mint, hope they stay like that!
-
The only problem with these wheels is that they go really horrible after a while: VW had to do a recall on the MK4 Golf, as the wheels just weren't lasting very long.. I think it's a problem with a ball burnished finish :(
-
Very nice! I have those wheels (18") on my Mk4 Anniversary

Nice, reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq95SZm44IM

I tried ordering on direct on the Classic Parts website, but they sent me an email saying only authorized Volkswagen and Audi dealers could register on their site.. I suppose I could have just phoned them instead, but by that time I'd ordered with Heritage
-
2 week wait, if only.. ;-) I ordered one about 6 weeks ago and it sill hasn't arrived  ..I blame Royal Mail. VW Heritage have been good enough to re-order one for me.
-
You can get it here: http://www.vwheritage.com

I've got a pinhole leak on my rad neck too... seems like everyone's having these problems all at the same time! Ordered a new one from VW Heritage, and just bought a replacement rad (Hella), might as well do that too :)
-
Used to be around £220, probably about £1000 now
-
I bought a replacement wing from VW back in 2004, when I had my car painted. That one also had no indicator hole

Contagion - 0/10. Biggest waste of time ever. The Inbetweeners - 9/10. Very funny, definitely go see it if you love the TV series
