  1. You should all get together and vent your anger here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/Gwerks 5290 people 'like' their page, there must be twice as many dislikes..
  2. The blower is a different one to the normal blower. The undertray always looks butchered... I chopped my original one up to fit, and used an flocked offcut, which I then plastic welded into place. Looks much nicer :)
  3. The AC buttons above the cig. lighter are where the factory LHD versions have them. I've got mine there too, as I prefer them to the round Diavia ones which go near the heated seat buttons
  4. Had mine rolling road tested twice, 201 bhp, 195lbft, standard VR :)
  5. Yep, I've got the door seal, just haven't cut & fitted them yet :) My car is currently without an interior, but I'll be refitting everything in a week or two. I'll upload pics once I've got the seals on the car.
  6. Was just playing around, seeing what private plates are still available... 1VR and 2VR are up for sale, if you're feeling flush  http://www.regtransfers.co.uk/main/secureordering/orderregmark.asp?searchtype=general&regno=1%20VR&index=0&regprice=204995&plateid=30146141 That'll be £246,125.50 please
  7. He used some spray type stuff to recolour the seats, as the driver's seat looked a bit worn in places. He also fed the leather. Came out really nice :) Haven't taken any pics yet, but will do in a week or two.
  8. Had Andy fit my new CAT1 alarm today, as well as tidy up my leather seats and fix some old phone holes in the dash. Really nice guy, can't fault his work.
  9. Does anyone know what the part number is for that foam stuff that wraps up parts of the wiring loom? Or is there any sort of alternative? Couldn't see anything suitable in Halfrauds.. or B&Q
  10. Well you need around 4mtrs for each door, so I ordered 9mtrs total, just to be sure. Costs £92.83 including VAT and delivery
  11. *BUMP* I gave Phil Howard at Seals Direct a call yesterday and asked for a sample piece, received it today! Excellent service :) The seal is now on their website, it's not listed under DX90 though, it now ETS2581. It's slightly different to the original seal - On the VW seal, the lip on the far left is positioned on top of the metal-toothed grippy bit, instead of to the left. But that's a minor thing, the seal fits well. Just ordered 9 meters worth to do both my doors.
  12. Ahhh! Thanks Kempy - for some reason, the forum was added to 'Compatibility View' and that seems to have messed it up. Press alt-T to bring up the tools menu: Tools > Compatibility View Settings I removed the forum from the list of sites, and now it works in crummy old IE8! :D
  13. Has something changed with the forum lately? I can't reply to or create threads. I'm having to do this in Chrome, which admittedly is a far superior browser.. In IE8, the message textfield is just greyed out, disabled
  14. Even if you've paid my debit card, you can still get your money back. Give your bank a call. I had problems with an audio company recently, who took my money and didn't deliver... Had to wait 31 days from the date the money was debited before the bank started proceedings
  15. The plastic tabs have probably been broken when the trim was removed
  16. Yep insurance is all a con... You can only use your NCB on one car at a time, which I've never understood... And if you were to have an accident, you'd still have to mention it when you're insuring your 2nd car, which is on a totally seperate policy using your other NCB. Where's the sense in that?
  17. Here you go: 357 820 803R They come up on ebay from time to time. There's some brand new ones on there right now, but you'll have to ship it from the USA http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=+357820803R
  18. Thanks :) Wow, I've not updated this thread for 4 years.. Nothing much has changed though, except I had aircon fitted a couple of years ago. Car only gets driven a few times a month, as I've got G60 for daily use.
  19. I was in WH Smiths today and saw Classic Car Weekly had a feature on the MK1 'rocco http://www.classiccarweekly.co.uk/ ..I'd rather have the modern 'rocco though ;)
  20. Sorry to sound like a vulture, but I'd be interested in buying the heater controls to keep as spare. Do all 3 wheels rotate? No breaks? Thanks!
  21. Does the glovebox strip still have all the tabs intact? Dont suppose you've got a photo of the them? :) If they're all intact, I'll take it!
