Can the font size please be changed fir the thread title? It's too small for viewing on mobile devices, and often find I'm clicking the thread starter or another topic by mistake with my clunky fingers :) looking good otherwise, but would appreciate a more friendly theme for us mobile users (iPhone 4 here) keep up the good work Pete

As title really. The clips have broken off on mine, but the reflectors / adjusters etc.. Are in a1 condition so looking to transplant into new casings. Let me see what you have :) Cheers Pete

Will be a good day, last one I organised we were still running cars at 5pm and vr's were overflowing the car park :-) and now I'm back in a VR I thought I'd better get back on with club chairman duties :)

What sort of prices do the casings go for? The reflectors and everything else is in really good condition on mine, I'll have to drill out that screw I think!

Hiya. Took a look as to why my headlights flapped up and down today! Took them out to find the securing screws looking like this; Anyone know what parts I'd need to secure them back in and how they actually attach? Also, one of the top securing plastic tabs has snapped - would it be easier just to get new lights or are they repairable? Want them looking neat and safe prior to going for an MOT! In there current state they would fail!

Started fitting the new earth strap for the bonnet. The nut on the bonnet is well and truely stuck so covered in wd40 over night!

yes mate, VRT's welcome, we have a few people on the OC with turbo's R32'ed, 4Mo's and VR6's too :)

Historically, we have had other cars running, usually at the end of the day... at a rolling road we organised a few years ago at powerstation we had a couple of rari's running :) so no limitation as to what runs, its all about people getting together, and having a good day in my opinion :) The only restriction is that the rolling road is 2 wheel drive only, so 4x4, r32's 4mo's wont be able to run unless you fancy disconnecting your rear wheel drive... I think on some models its as simple as removing a fuse, but dont quote me on that, and obviously you would only be getting a power reading from the front wheels only so not sure how this would affect the output figures? You dont need me to tell you the Reputation of Vince/Stealth Racing. Prices are £25 for 2 runs, and a printout - which I think is reasonable. I had one line made up a few weeks ago for my corrado (will be fitting in a few weeks), and they are spot on!

I'm currently looking into going with http://peterbestinsurance.co.uk/Default.aspx quoted £220 for the year on a 1.5k annual mileage. will need to do further investigations as to whats covered... Pete

Today I've ordered: Oil cooler gasket / seal, sump gasket, bonnet earth strap. I'll also give my bonnet latch another lube!

Thanks Ian. I will get one ordered tomorrow. I have managed to save my self some money by spending some time on my current bonnet latch, after reading the horror story on here, I've manipulated it and given it plenty of lube over the last couple of days and its now good as new! will continue to manipulate and lube over the next few days!

How mch do the standard corrado bonnets weigh?

Hiya, thanks for the warm welcome. not sure what Im doing with the corrado once done! going to be a struggle running 2 cars as it is! but I will hopefully be at some of the VR6OC shows this year as ive not had a VR6 for over 2 years (running and on the road that is) I fancy doing some drag strip and possibly hill climbing though! I dont think I will go back to the ring... I think a wrote off VR6, 1.5k fine and a double hernia was enough for me! Sorry about the wheels mate :) They were awesome!! especially with the big brakes I had on it the mk2! suited it well. got a few more sh*tty jobs do on the corrado, bonnet cable etc... but at least everything mechanically is ok! Is that strap actually needed? Mine fell apart! Not sure, I guess VW fitted it for a reason? The original had nearly broken at the bonnet hinge end, hence the reason I replaced it. Ian. Where did you get the strap from matey? Do you have part number?

Just doing a quick search because my bonnet latch doesnt spring anymore, the last thing I want is this to happen! Does anyone have the part number, and price for a new bonnet latch? :)
