  1. ...and for the record, yes: dull, dull, dull. The Beeb managed to make the build-up more entertaining than any of the racing. Webber, Kovalainen, Chandhok and Jake Humphrey's Twitter feeds are all plastered with comments on how much of a non-race the new regulations produced. Most folks citing the fuel laden cars as too much of an issue - but how do they get away from that after everyone's developed a 120l tank for this year? :epicfail:
  2. That'll be this bit of footage then... legendary! :salute: [youtube:3stbd1yr] [/youtube:3stbd1yr]
  3. I assume you mean the 'tube' that michael shumacher has on his car to direct air over the rear wing? What i want to know is, why did Mclarens rear wing go to the scrutineers but this little device hasnt? Really looking forward to this race weekend! :D Yes, that tube/airflow thing... not sure where you got the idea that it's on the Mercedes, it's on the McLaren - you can see it poking from the top of the bodywork here:
  4. Not sure about quali TBH. It's not going to be as hard and fast as before with the need to be fully fuelled for race distance... the only time you'll see real pace is going to be in the dying laps on each Sunday :?
  5. So Campos gets an internal buy out and re-named as 'HRT'... how can they not see the ridicule that abbreviation will bring? (Particularly in forums like this! :) ...and then Renault acquire Lada sponsorship deal. Seriously? The headlines are gonna write themselves!
  6. Followed this chap out of Marchwood yesterday around 5pm, nice blackberry G60 heading towards Southampton & M27
  7. He's just moved house and having broadband issues apparently...
  8. Could of Been Cazza in the Skoda White 'rado could have been Toad too
  9. VR6, empty motorway, 3am... [youtube:x0atrgd6]http://www.youtube.com/user/PrimalScreamtvSME#p/u/9/FLqlsHln6H4[/youtube:x0atrgd6] http://www.youtube.com/user/PrimalScreamtvSME#p/u/9/FLqlsHln6H4 8)
  10. Worst. Kept. Secret. Ever. http://www.itv-f1.com/news_article.aspx?id=47813 Who had money with the bookies that these guys wouldn't be showing...?
  11. ...aaaaand, we're in. Jazzmoppers unveiled their title defending team on Sunday morning in the damp litter-ridden car park of PC World in Southampton, to surprisingly little fanfare. Media speculation and arguably the second worst kept secret in the city, that initial hopes would be pinned on the oft conceited lapel of one Mr. Fernandes Allons'y alongside rising mentalist Koni Kamikaze were quickly proven correct, at which point most in attendance de-camped to the nearby Costa franchise to witness the opening round of the 2010 computer battleships championship...
  12. Odd, I get some (e.g. I can see the one's further up in posts by Toad and Jim), but I don't get all of them showing nor can I see any links I try to embed myself on any computer I use, whether work PC, home PC or Mac?! It's a obviously localised blackout... and when I say localised I mean within 20" of my head. Perhaps it's the steel plate from 'Nam...
  13. So Jerez testing highlights: Virgin F1 test curtailed due to rear wing failure and the fact that they didn't bring enough parts and Button 'getting used to the McLaren', which should be read as "oh cock, they really have designed this thing around Lewis :(" Meanwhile FIA withdraw the need for teams to publish starting weights as everyone would be able to work out which team has the most fuel efficient engine. Oops. Who's your money on for 2010 then folks?
  14. Indeed, the best of the new corrado concepts bandied around the web in recent years - you can see the old car in it as well as Mk1 Leon (which is still far superior to it's replacement) Mk6 Goof/new Rocco and that lower front end is a bit Audi R8-ish The rear is initially a bit 'meh', but overall it's an 8/10.
  15. Blimey sir, you're keen! I'll put a team together again this year, probably won't be including any references to Campos of USF1 though
  16. I got quoted £120 last autumn for doing mine if that helps
  17. it would appear that the embedded YouTube links don't work for you either sir!
  18. In Honda's. Which surely only presents any potential issue if it needs to go off. Media muppets... surprised they haven't considered the ever increasing price at the pumps meaning that there will be no cars to die in on the roads soon anyway
  19. Can't help with the conversion malarky, but friendly-five to you for running the same two motors as me! Whatcha got? Mine's a black 96 N-plate VR6 for the weekends and bronze P-plated Cupra for the commute.
  20. Last Wednesday's entertainment... mouth-mounted flamethrowers, idiocy or genius? You decide... (why does the youtube thing not work for me?)
  21. A road-filth covered Black VR at the Metropole hotel next to the NEC at Birmingham. Looked a touch neglected. Sadly t'was my reflection as I drove out of the car park this morning
  22. Aye, the shot above is pre-release... the actual W101 debuted at Valencia on Sunday and looked like this: Methinks they've been down to visit that bodyshop John used in Bournemouth and liberated the remaining grey paint from his respray
  23. Is it just me or does the new Sauber-Ferrari C29 resemble a recycled Airfix Concorde model?? I'm sure it's the paint job, but it does look excessively long in the wheelbase... on the flip, I quite like the new Renault livery - has touches of the early 80's cars
  24. A couple of other pics in the other thread... http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=87998 :)
