is that as in Kruder & Dorfmeister? The double disc sessions disc with their versions of 'Bug Powder Dust' and Depeche Mode's 'Useless' are superb... perfect sundowner/Sunday album 8)

Despite ragging the Stratos rep (and emotionally destroying it's builder), repeatedly slagging Lancia's reliability record and undoubtedly killing off yet another Monte simply by extracting it from dry store, I'd imagine the feature will kick Delta prices a little bit more northward and actually boost sales of the Stratos reps. 8) -
scuttlebutt suggests that Flav is no fan of Rubiks Kube either and would (if he nabe the team from Renault) "automatically release" the Pole, presumably making way for his former protege and recent McLaren exile Kovalainen... but more importantly it would give Merc the opportunity to bid for Kuby.

Amen sir! :notworthy: A car of legend... they gave it a nice feature - should help kick the prices a bit further north too :) ...backed with UNKLE's 'Trouble in Paradise (Variation on a Theme)' which they used a series or so back when Clarkson was blitzing across Tokyo in the Nissan GTR. -

+1 I figured they were going Lancia from the Stratos pic on the website during the week... The 037 and Delta were epic in rallying. A friend had a Fulvia - beautiful, responsive, fun and it broke down on way back from Le Mans.. No AA cover for the trip and he "didn't believe in mobile phones" - £350 to recover to UK then trailered it home. A friend of a friend had an Evo Integrale too - I honestly thought I'd die in that car one day. Didn't expect them them to cite the Montecarlo as a great though... I fappin' love them! Went to buy one once but found I barely fit in it, so had to surrender my dream :-( Most of the money ultimately went into buying the C about 18mths later. -
Keeping Mini-jazz entertained today and spent 1/2hr watching 'Yo Gabba Gabba!'... where music guests were Ladytron 8) Off to hook out Witching Hour for a good, loud spin

Definitely open to interpretation - which is why things like the Beetle, the splitty van and Mk1 GTi etc would have to make the VW list as while they might not be universally applauded, their impact on motoring history - like the Model T, is undeniable. Not sure if it means anything but the Top Gear page on BBC website shows Clarkson wedged into a Stratos, so wonder if they're going to vote Lancia and include the Flaminia, Aurelia, 037 and the original Delta? -
Ren't we due another Arcade Fire album yet... I've virtually worn out the others :?

Ok, so having given this a minimal amount of thought... and very much depending on your definition of 'great' (i.e. great to drive, engineering brilliance (for their respective era), styling (again, by era), iconic...); I'd suggest: Alfa = 6 (6C, GT (original), Spider, Alfasud, SZ, 8C Competizione) Ford = 5 (Model T, GT40 (original), RS200, Escort Cosworth, Focus RS) VW = 5 (Bug, Mk1 & Mk2 GTi, Corrado, R32) Audi = 4 (Quattro, S2, TT, R8) Porsche, Ferrari etc all become a bit too subjective, so I've left them off this list... who wants to take the first pop at me then? -

So, obviously a hardy few will register their thoughts at the TG interweb site for the 'who has produced the most great cars' conundrum, posited on tonight's show... and even more certainly, knowing the CF, none of us will really agree on those suggestions - let the debate/bickering/bitchslapping commence!!! I'm off to research my carefully considered answer... possibly mulling over p0rn at the same to keep my brain active  -
So, just in time for the new Vodafone 'team GB' McLaren arrival and Bernie confirms that the British GP looks like falling off the calendar thanks to the almighty cock-up by Donington and the ongoing not-quite-good-enough efforts at Silverstone... well done all! :epicfail:

For the record, I now hate you!

Just thought, I should have added Vettel to the list of potential champions... and unfortunately Webber to the good, but not great runners-up. Personally, I reckon 2010 will be a 3-way duke out between Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso.
-
Don't want to sound unpatriotic, but TBH I didn't think Button would ever be a champion... I don't know what it is, maybe that 'take no prisoners instinct' or whatever - Hamilton and Alonso had that presence about them from the word go, as did Raikkonen... who then bluffed, double bluffed and arguably lucked into the 2007 title much like Jenson. Massa and Barrichello are the same too - they've both had superb moments, but somehow you just can't see them in that worlds best category. As to the confirmations today, I'm betting Whitmarsh and to an extent Ron are both getting friction burns from the rubbing-hands-with-glee prospect of the merchandising they can score off the back of F1's new Team GB
-
Saw the story, but can't see him retiring outright... a sabbatical maybe. Will have to keep an eye on his WRC progress though.
-
Glock is being cited as having signed for Manor Motorsport for 2010 - this being the team that will allegedly carry the Branson/Virgin sponsorship next year Not seen anything chap - how long ago did you send it?
-
It'll be interesting to see where this leads in the next couple of days... McLaren's recent press suggests that they still don't seem to think they need Button and Raikkonen's looking dangerously close to being out in the cold too - surely bolstering his likelihood of spending 2010 in WRC. How long has it been since a driver hasn't been around to defend their championship crown? Prost retired in '94, by choice, so I this starts to have the eerie ring of Hill's post-championship fall from grace - winning for Williams in '97, getting dropped and landing at Arrows for a year and then two seasons with Jordan before his exit. :confused4:
-
Since debate crops up every so often anyway, I figure there may as well be one place for ruminating on the merits of such announcements as... Mercedes-Benz buying a 75% stake in Brawn GP today, re-branding the team as Mercedes and effectively ousting Button to McLaren by announcing Rosberg and Heidfeld as an all-german squad! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8362295.stm

This morning I have been mostly listening to/rediscovering Arcade Fire... and Placebo's Slave to the Wage (thanks to a certain chap's FaceSpace comments meaning that I had it looping in my head for days) That is all.
