I'd like one in carbon fibre (or whatever the second one from left in the scuttle pics is!) I'd like a matching scuttle tray too and would prefer if they could be sent together to combine on postage. Infact I dont want to have to pay 2 lots of postage, so how will this work? -

Just checked with my mate at vw. Sump £76.42 inc VAT part No 021 103 601b Sump Gasket £36.89 inc VAT part No 021 103 609 Sump plug and washer will only be a couple of quid.

Have been thinking aout trying to get some myself. Hadnt really thought too much about the relays, and the delay when using them. They do look good though. Were they an option from new?

:D :D :clap: :clap: :clap: :D :D Much happier now with it back in its standard colour! I dont think there is any denying that it looks batter back in blue! Subframe and rear beam should be powder coated by the end of the week. Will be ordering all new nuts/bolts/brackets for them, and will be poly bushing the rear beam. I've already powerflex'd the front a couple of years ago. With any luck the car will be on its wheels rolling in a couple of weeks.

The carbon fibre spoiler look nice, I'm just not keen on how far they stick out.. Also they look a bit strange when they are up. -
Yeah, I think the grey would look good but I just think that corrado's need a 'posher' colour, and the pearl blue is just that. Had it originally been say aqua blue I wouldnt hesitate changing it to grey. They do look like fat fives on his car but surely they cant be?? Would 17's fit over 6pot brembos??

So after a lot of soul searching I dont think I want the car painted grey. I don't think I have the heart to change from Moonlight blue. It hit me when I found myself looking for Moonlight rados on pistonheads the other day. The grey is a fantastic colour though.. I'm planning on painting my G40 in it later in the year. Don't quite know what my painter is gonna say when I tell him!!! :shrug:

Insurance nearly wrote mine off after a small accident. Damage came to £2600 in parts from VAG. Lights, bumper, wing, bonnet, slam panel, grill, a few other bits, plus labour. The bodyshop knocked the estimate to £2500 and tehy didnt write it off! The assessor didnt even see the car. Couldnt quite believe that this is a near write off!! This scared the hell out of me! Will def be getting agreed value in the future. Hope your situation ends up happy all round.

Maybe biased as we have an S3, but I'd have it over an R32. The missus loves driving it too. She was putting too many miles on it though, so has bought a mk1 TT converible for the 100mile daily grind now. She loves the TT aswell but one wouldnt be suitable for your situation.

Update: no progress! Apparently the bay is being prepped this week ready for paint. I'm now having delimas as to what colour to paint the car. Still really like Moonlight blue but also am liking VW eos brown. Think I'm swaying towards keeping it the standard colour. After all, it ain't a bad looking colour!! Anyway should hopefully have some pics of the bay in 2 or 3 weeks. Probably not though as people seem to be dragging their heels doing my car.
