I think they were the same set. At some point along the line furks bought them then sold them to me! They need some work doing to them though as they are in quite bad condition. Still not sure if I want to use them as they need alot of tlc...

Was being pushed along the Hogsback at 80mph (in a 60!) by a corrado last night. I was in my Robert Heath heating Citroen Dispatch.

I was searching for a set of three spokes for my g40 a while back and couldnt find any for love nor money! They would have looked sweet on my polo! had to settle with some 15in P's instead... Shame they're not 17's... would have looked much better on a C

The C was looking good at Stoner 8) -
Saw 4 today! Tunbridge wells seems to be THE place for corrado spotting! 1st one on the A21 (i think) Blue or green (sorry my colour vision isnt the best!!) H reg. H??? YY? 2nd one on the way into t.wells (was going the opposite direction) . The 1st rado must have seen it too as it was only 5 or 6 cars infront of me. Red with an eyebrow spoiler. 3rd was on Quarry Road where the roadworks and temp traffic lights are at about 10am. I was stood outside my job and it went past in traffic. Looked like moonlight blue. 17's, lowered and I think it had a debadged grill and eyebrow spoiler. VR6. Didnt catch the plate. 4th was again on Quarry Road. I was stood outside on the pavement as you were waiting first in line at the traffic light. Grey. L??? EEC i think. Again, debadged grill and spoiler. Had a Reiger or similar rear spoiler. Sounded 'charged, and also vr6ish.. All looked good, but the moonlight did it for me most (not that I'm biased to moonlight!) A good day for rado spotting.

8 x 17. Not slammed but low enough to break 2 sumps. All 4 arches had to be rolled and flared to stop rubbing. Rear arches still catch over big bumps or with people in the back.Dscf5536.jpg[/attachment:2qyau835]

The car in a bad way? You could sell the car for more than the 2k if its in good nick. I'd buy it for 2k.

you forgot bigpantsbaby pete, so that makes 8/9 i think. Dont forget mine! Had my engine for over a year now... cars been off the road or 27 months now. Its not a "fashion" thing. Thought it would be the more reliable choice over a vr6t.

My mates boss has an allroad and its been nothing but trouble. The suspension keeps going wrong. He's selling it as it costs fortunes to fix it. Have a read on some audi forums before you buy one...

Early S3's were 210bhp, later ones 225. Have a look on the S3 forum on http://www.audi-sport.net as there is loads of info on remaps.

Yeah bought it for the missus. She will use it most of the time, but I'm sure I'll get to use it on the odd weekend! Had it for 3 weeks now. She only got rid of her car yesterday so I've been able to use it whenever I want.. now her ibiza has gone its not there for me to use any more :( Hopefully she'll get a job nearer home soon as she currently does 16,000 miles a year just getting to and from work. Not keen on putting that many miles on it as it only had 49,000 on the clock when I bought it!

Oh yeah, I wouldnt buy a Renault/Vauxhall Vivaro either. Had a couple of these as hire vans. they are fantastic vans, massive in the back (had a high top too which was HUGE!), like the dash layout, seats are comfy, but the ride made me feel sea sick. The front just sort of bounce and drift about. Quite unpredictable when cornering too. It's a shame because the DCI 140 Vivaro is an animal of a van. No van could really come close to it for accelration and speed. Had 128mph on the speedo up the M40 with ease. Only thing that I came across that was faster was a new VW Caddy. The 180bhp Transporters are peobably quicker too! Had the 140for 2 weeks while my old Dispatch wasin the bodyshop, and by the end of the first week of having it I was looking forward to having the Dispatch back... thats how much I hated the ride.

Generally Very Good Vans I strongly disagree with that. I had a 55 reg non turbo Citroen Dispatch for 2 years and hated it. Company van so had no choice. Slow, handles like a bag of poo and the dash was awful. Seats were comfy though. Took it back to Citroen 4 times to get the side loading doors to shut properly but they never really fixed the problem. As it had no bulkhead you would get a constant draught down the back of your neck and on motorways the noise was terrible. Was like driving with the window an inch open. We also had Peugeot Experts on the fleet and they were just as bad but slower. Hills??? forget driving up them in 5th gear. I now have a 57 reg facelift Dispatch and love it. Even the base model 1.6 is turbo'd. The dash is much more useable and it handles like a car! Not gonna get one of these for 3.5k though. Your buget aint very big so I dont think you'd get a decent Transporter for that money. Hiaces are nice. A friend picked up a LWB model not long back. Huge load space. Not keen on the dashboards though. All I will say is, stay away from old shape Dispatches/Experts.

Cant go with a DAB head unit as I already have a Pioneer pop-out TV/DVD head unit. What do the stick on aerials look like? Not really keen on the idea of things stuck to the windows though. Have thought about putting a wing-mount type extendable aerial inside the a-pillar trims... not sure how well that would work.. But for the time being I'll just have to cope with the roof mounted b-sting on this. :norty:

What a charitable man. Support your local pikeys! :salute: Apparently I support the local pikeys too..... they did my rented garage over last year and had over a grands worth of scrap copper pipe and hot water cylinders (probably worth double that at the mo as prices are sooooo high... £3300 per ton for copper 2 weeks ago!) then 4 months later did the garage again but only got a set of Ronal alloys that I'd bought off ebay 2 months previos for £250. cnuts.

Even though my C has been in a bodyshop for over a year it was never used as a daily. I have a van for work and would use the C a few eves a week and on the weekends. It would either be left on the drive or on the road when not in use. Since the car went away for paint I have bought a house with a garage so it will stay in that now. Will drive it even less than I used to as I'm gonna be a little worried about driving it, because last year it almost got written off with light front end damage. Will probably insure it with a limited 3k miles a year next time. I do agree with the opinion that cars were built to be driven.. thats why I'll be rebuilding my G40 this year. Have also just bought an S3 for me and the missus so will be enjoying some 'driving' in that! I just feel that I've spent/am spending far far too much money on my C for it to be hit by some idiot and written off for £2500 again!

A mate of mine does recovery for the police, and you'd be amazed at the cars the fire brigade cut the roofs off! Cars virtually with no body damage other than having no roof!!
-
Thanks, nice comments! Yeah, not too sure what I'm gonna do about the aerial situation!! Need to do something though as I don't wanna have no FM. It took 14 months cos I told the bodyshop I wasn't in a rush for the car. I thought maybe 3 months max though... Oh well, saved a fortune in petrol and insurance the last year! :)

thats funny!

Yeah Moonlight Blue. Rear 1/4 was just bonded back in again. Same with the rear screen.
-
The paint was done at RW Masters in Littlehampton. He got £2500 from the insurance claim and I've had to pay an extra £1500 on top of that. All the bonded glass was removed from the car for painting, and a new VAG front screen has gone back in.
-
Took some new pics of the car as it is now back at g-werks. Couple of things wrong with it, but nothing that cant be sorted out easily enough. The car needs to go back to the bodyshop after the new engine goes in for a final polish so the few defects can be seen to then. Really really pleased with the results though. It's gonna look proper nice when its all fitted back together! ooh, and what's this we have here??? Starting to get excited about the damn car again now. Going to Ultimate Dubs has made me want the car back! After 14 months my enthusiasm had started to dwindle....
