  1. 1987 edition storm Couldn't you have got an N reg with your initials? N1 PSM?
  2. yours is an 'E' reg though..... sorry.. coulda sworn yours was an M! I do apologise.. So the one in the pic is the SECOND N reg I've seen.
  3. Saw this nice looking Storm last Saturday at Shannon Corner, New Malden. First N reg Storm I've seen. Not the best pic admitedly... Same day, same place but ontop of the Flyover at New Malden!! G940 WND. Think it was a 16v. Definately grey! Then saw this in Notting Hill yesterday! Yet again, I was in my Kangoo whan I saw these..... always the way!
  4. The rear bumper not covering the petrol tank is a bit gash. The lack of heat insulation around the exhaust tunnel. My C gets like an oven in the sumer. Must fit air-con.
  5. I've posted up pics of small polo meets before and some peopl ehave moaned because I never blanked the plates out. If these people dont like their plates n pics on the net, then dont take their cars where they know people will have digi cameras! Or at least put a show plate on.. Seems silly to me.
  6. What about the plastic rad cover. The odd shape bit that sits behind the slam panel? Would possibly be interested in one of them? I'll have a look over the engine bay to see what else would look good in CF. Of course, this would be price dependant as I know that CF can be a little expensive..
  7. i have used gunk on my polo engine bay and it came up a treat. I also really like the smell. However a couple of people (including rw1) have said that gunk can actually take the shine off paint. Admittedly I didnt notice this on my polo, but at the end of the day its a polo not a corrado. I really need to do my bay as I have a load of factory spunk all over it and need to get it off and looking pretty, but am a little wary of gunk now. Maybe really hot soapy water? This is how I was told to clean alloy wheels by my wheel shop so maybe this would work on 'bays too??

  9. I got mine from Dubweiser
  10. A GT with an airfilter/decat/s/s exhaust/chip will take many cars by suprise. Not Rapid, but no slouch either. Have seen many Polos with that spec pushing 80-95bhp on rolling roads! Doesn't take much to work out that 800kgs + 90bhp = smiles!!
  11. hehehe I used to run my mk2 as low as the last pic!! I had to swap the deep GTI spoiler for a smaller CL one as I was eating GTI chins at an alarming rate!! I could get it to scrape on flat roads under hard braking!!!!!!
  12. 5hrs to go and only up to £2k.... I still dont think thats a bad price even though its been clocked.
  13. I don't like reading about stolen cars... I'm paranoid enough about mine as it is. :( I hope they find it.
  14. Will be at the 12 o'clock show too!! Looks pretty cool.
  15. I'm gonna doctor my plates... a couple of number plate screws will soon have this sorted!! NO VR6 here we come!!
  16. I used stock lifters on my 8v GTI Golf when I put a Piper 285 cam in... Apparently they are adequate.
  17. and those with Storms will always disagree!!
  18. A storm would be nice for the reasons that some peeps have given above, but in my opinion, albeit biased, I pefer my VR. Fair enough I dont have the £250 badges on it, but it has the same spec, is newer and in a nicer shade of blue than mystic.... also probably £2k cheaper than a storm. Oh, I used to hate the heated leather as it made me feel a little ill, but after using it for the last week in the cold eves I'm getting very used to it!!

    didn't come out too bad...
  20. I don't know if the PM i sent you got to you as you have changed your name AGAIN!!! But the cheque was posted yesterday!! And as for dick size...
  21. I'm not even gonna talk about brakes though.......
  22. Tuesday about 8.30am driving past Chiswick brewery towards the A316. M144 ??? Yesterday, Littlehampton, about 3pm... 2 girls in the car... Gave you a big grin as I drove round the roundabout infront of you in my little blue polo!! Saw another dark rado this morning in Sheen.. no pic, and cant remember the plate!! Was around the tiny backroads..
  23. hehehe... close to it. I have seen video of a g40 doing 157, but that was speedo reading. My rado is nearly spot on speedo reading compared to my road angel and the rado was pulling 130mph with me still edging away. I'd say my polo does over 140mph. Steve at PSD has a taller 5th gear in his and should go round to 150mph. Unlike the rado though, those sort of speeds are rare. I wouldnt sit at that rpm in the polo for too long as it would spit it's charger seals out the exhaust!!!! It's a two handed affair driving at that speed too. My rado will happily drive all day long at 140+mph. The polo isnt about top end speeds though.
  24. Without wanting to sound like I want an argument, but your statement is rubbish. A few more hp DOES make them VR beaters.. Did you watch my vid? The spec of my engine at the time was: GT inlet, sns stg3, stg4 charger, toothed belts. My polo now (if working) would tear my corrado apart SO bad... spec now. PSD front mount, G60 injectors, stage 5 sns, jabba induction kit, stand alone oil supply. With corrado front seats in the polo it isnt too uncomfortable, although the standard seats are far nicer, it's just they dont sit as low. Wind noise is quite bad, and with the toothed belts the charger can be a little noisey. With a decent suspension set up they dont go bad round the bends and they absolutely fly in straight lines!! No I wouldnt want to be in my polo in a 100mph crash, but really, who would want to be in ANY car crashing at 100mph??? The dash is basic, but does the trick. No mod cons, but the car aint a luxury car. All I know is it's great to be able to chase M3's and them not be able to get away from you.... can you do that in a 16v rado?? Also, being beaten by a car with cow seats is the easy bit... it's the whitewalls and roofracks that people dont understand!!!! Someone asked if the pistons are a weak point on the polo.... i think this might answer that.... Since these pics, I have done another bottom end. This time piston No.3. We are coming to the conclusion that my standard downpipe and cat cant get rid of the heat quick enough and its causing it to back up and melt pistons... And as for the comment about being built better than a rado... well that makes me laugh!!! The build quality is awful... pillar trim glued to the body work??? nasty! But, I love my polo... I also love my rado..... I'm not trying to wind rado owners up as I think that overall my rado is far superior to my polo... If I had to get rid of one it would be the polo everytime. Breaks too easily, and isn't as 'nice' to drive as the rado. People dont give the polo enough respect. When I used to drive my Golf GTI I was always in the school of "1.3's can never be fast.." I'd think that I could easily take one in my tuned mk2. Never. The G40 can be incredibly quick. Far quicker than a 16v rado. They sprint quick too. Sorry for the long post. edit: sorry I just had to add another pic of my recently installed fmic!!! :D :D
