Do any of you guys have a rough idea of what a 2.9 vr6 engine would be worth. I bought it about a year ago to put into the mk2 golf i had at the time but due to my age it wasa difficult to insure so i never bothered. Its from a 97 car and had 75000 miles on it came with engine bed, power steering rack, engine wiring loom, front shocks, front discs and callipers, radiator, ecu, super chip, and transponder and key. It never came with a gearbox, the bloke sold that separately. Just wondered what sort of money these engines fetch now??

yeah that soundz good lol. I once saw a golf rally with a trumpet connected to it in some way so that when it dumped the excess boost it sounded like a musical instrument. Ive noticed that when some people do this mod they use a catch tank and other people dont, which would be the better route to take??

my figures were from dyno printouts of the car when previous owners have rolling roaded it. Its obviously about rite. woz talking to some one with a ihi ibiza and his car didnt loose as much as mine albeit it will have a different gearbox, it just got me thinking. :D

Do any of you guys know what is the norm as regards to transmission losses. On my g60 the difference between the power at the fly wheel to the power at the wheels is nearly 40bhp. Just curious as this seems quite alot. :roll:
