Hi All, Have a bit of an issue with my 8v Daily in that when it's cold it runs as if it's on 3 cylinders and usually goes after 20 seconds or so on it's own without having to blip the throtle. Spark plugs were new last year as was air filter etc and all seem like they are secure. Could it be injectors OR is there an Idle Stabilization Valve that can go on them? Also tried some injector cleaner and it definitely pulls better but hasn't cured this issue. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Yes a clash for us too this year as Jude is Running Manchester Marathon and i'm Running Sheffield Half Mara. Bit gutted as it'll be the 1st one i've missed too. Have a good day everyone.

Hi Mic. Yeah all good thanks. Still get plenty of tinkering in with the 8v's we have but only did 100 or so miles in the VR last year as was so busy with Running & Cycling. Maybe get to Stanford Hall this year if we can.

I bought some from main dealers a few years ago now. I don't know the part number I'm afraid.

The one at heritage are too short, you need the longer ones that sit flush otherwise they recess a long way into the wheel.

From memory the early Golf VR6 came with the same wheels as a friend had a J reg one. They may have been an option here as Jim says. I have seen several sets on ebay over the years too.

Hi All, I'm after a leather gear lever gaitor if anyone has one, Late model type with Ring on top that meets the gear knob itself. Nothing too crazy as it's only for the daily instead of a vinyl one. Thanks Kip
