  1. Bargain that. Mines going for 12k if anyone's interested though :)
  2. See you at Woodhall Services then redborbet ;)
  3. Yep part of the rear windows itself. The door scraper seals are about £50 ish each from vw heritage.
  4. Looking forward to it now after a few little jobs on the VR. Meeting a few for a convoy at Woodall Services at 7.15 to depart at 7.30 Prompt as we have buffing to do lol! So Far confirmed is, Kip Butterfly (Judith) Bruny (Dave) Chris L A tasty convoy indeedy :)
  5. Yes it's the part number 4. They usually come with the pads but they didn't this time. I've only ever used vag pads and every set has had them included. Seems they aren't essential though so thanks for the help. I was thinking it.s to enable the pad to slide better on the carriers.
  6. Plus some of the things you can see :) Can't wait to see these on matey. A truly excellent choice.
  7. They sit on the caliper carrier before you fit the pad. A very thin metal shim. They sell some at euro car parts but they only look wide enough for rear discs.
  8. Hi all. Just to ask if you can get hold of the shims that go on before the pads on the front discs. I have misplaced them somewhere and want to refit some. I ordered some new pads from vw and they didn't come with them so if anyone has a part number of they are available separately that'd be great. They are for the VR. Thanks :)
  9. Me and Vag Hag managed it with plenty of pressure and lots of lube along with my special tool :camp:
  10. Correct Jim, I think they were just looking for a sat nav as they are an easy sale these days unlike stereo's which take a bit longer to remove and more hassle. I think it was just an opportunist and they probably walk around a lot and check to see if anyone has left their door unlocked as Jude did. No damage done so pleased about that at least. :/
  11. Great work Dave. It really does look great and that trolly is immense lol! Genius :)
  12. Wow bad news Steve, I've just this morning had a screen fitted by Autoglass and from the look of it it looks a great job, he kept knocking on the door to show me various stages he'd got to as asked and although i didn't stand over him I feel he's done a good job. He did say the seal supplied isn't as good as the original so i asked him to refit that which he did and it simply pushed in with just a small amount of sealant as the sometimes use. Hope you get it sorted soon :/
  13. Ooh cheers for the heads up Stevie, having a new windscreen in today so will go get some :)
  14. Amazing that there is no corrosion whatsoever, proof indeed that if there is it is caused by careless removal & lack of correct touch up of bare metal. Impressive so far.
  15. They are the perfect winter wheel Dox, easy to clean and come spring the Westwoods will be going back on it ;) Needs Must My Friend.
  16. New windscreen going in today in the daily. Was a fair few of the really small pitted marks on the original one which I think hadn't been changed since new & was thinking of getting it replaced but ironically I got a chip in it one day that turned into a crack so had no choice. Fingers crossed for a good job.
  17. I use Peter D James Insurance for both my VR & Nugget. Limited milage policy of 3000 per year with a 10k Agreed value is £270 and the Nugget is £180 wroth a 7k Agreed value but that is on a classic policy as it's now over 20 years old. Most C's will qualify for this now too and was told they match your existing no claims on a classic policy or don't require any full stop.
  18. Mmmmmmm nice :) the brake lines are a joy to fit too. Bled the whole system with ease in 40 mins :)
