Well as most of the interior was out before going to the body shop when it arrived back home it was a bit dusty/dirty to say the least so thought may as well remove the lot so took out the headlining and sunroof panel and got to work on that with AG Interior cleaner, works wonders on headlining and carpets :) Also decided to remove all the centre tunel and then the whole carpet as it was almost yellow in colour but after a good fettle with the AG it came up smashing and is now dried out and awaiting re-fitting with the rear door cards and all the seats after they've had a generous coating of Gliptone :)

Hi Helen, There is also a sticker inside the first page of the log/service book which you get with the car so you could also check that if you have it! The colour code is also stamped in there too. :)
-
Ooh cheers Neil, maybe a used one will fit in with the age of the car though lol!
-
Alex i so wish you lived near me so i could help out a bit! As i said before if you need any parts i can get them delivered to my work normally the day after ordering them via a very helpfull guy i know at my local TPS, could then have them posted to you the same day i get them so maybe 3/4 days max from ordering. Let me know in future if you want to take me up on the offer ;) Loving your dedication too though buddy so keep it up :)

Hi All, Need the section that sits below the gear lever and trim. it has a foam section that butts up to the centre console and be black! No holes or scratches please. prefer off an early car too but dont think they changed at all. What you have???
-
Ah Bill, Gutted for you! :(
-
lol! that would be awfull!
-
Superb work! really looks spot on :)
-
Yeah as Dragon says, a nice bit of bling for the front end :)
-
Yeah got one last week £27 from dealers :)
-
It can also mist up if the foilage seal has gone and seeping water in there too! Also if you like in a hard water area not adding coolant will cause the pipes and arteries of the block to fur up quite considerably. But then it's your car so feel free to ignore me. Winter on it's way though so you'd be better adding it anyway ;)
-
Maybe water pump or heater matrix. ALWAYS add coolant too though, thats what it does COOL, adding just water is asking for trouble as it also conditions the block and pipes too.
-
Not yet mate it isn't tested yet so once all is back together i may change the fuel filter too and get some super in it. I really feel it just needs to be driven a lot to wake it up! Hopefully anyhow! :)

Ha Ha! It has been said a few times Jim ;) amongst cycling chums too so to be one in Corrrado terms is even more gratifying :) Poor thing really doesn't like being run at the moment, been stood for 10 months now so really must crack on and get it tested and give it some good drives out over the Snake :) That should settle it down a little.

Bit of an update all the bits back from being blasted and painted so whacked the cross member bushes in with my special tool ;) and bolted it all back together ish lol! Did a little cleaning too while stuff is out the way, a bit more to do before it's back on the road but was nice to get it back in the garage rather than covered up on the drive. Took the seats out to clean too and cant tell you how weird it is not being able to sit back, sat on my tool box instead Lol! :)
-
That does look rather damn good Karl! Nice work ;)

Can't find 1 years insurance for under £1000, help!
KIPVW replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in Insurance
Definately try Peter D James, for a classic policy, my VR is with them for 3000 limited and agreed value for 10k for £260. My Nugget is also on a classic policy with then as its over 20 years old the mileage is unlimited and agreed value for 4k for £155. :) I am an old fart though :) Strangely cant get below £298 for the 8v :/
