  1. As pm'd olie, i only have bare tray but happy to fit a set of fuses as i have loads of them in stock (joys of 5 Corrados  ) although i dont have any relays. Kip
  2. Hi mate. I have one, £25 posted. Kip. :-)
  3. I had my engine mounts changed last year and went for standard ones instead of the Vibra Technics ........what kind of improvements would I have seen with the Vibra ones then KIP  ?? Hope this doesnt clog your thread up too much C5 OEM :? I'll not ramble on too much in Andy's thread but gear change under load if givin it some beans is superb compared to a standard mount, also worth looking how much a VR engine moves with a standard mount compared to a VT one when you go to a rolling road day. The differance is simple phenomenal  I'm sure a new standard one will be a great improvement though over a tired one. Had the rear mounts replaced with standard items as opposed to VT ones though when mine was at DG a year or so ago
  4. Sorry to hear that Andy :( I'd definately recomend a vibra technics mount on the front though. a standard new one is good but you can feel a good improvement with a VT one.
  5. Just bend the arms inwards a little towards the screen where there is already a slight bend/kink in the middle of the arm. this puts more downward pressure on and takes seconds to do. worked a treat on both Mine and Jude's cars :D
  6. God knows why such cost difference :/ My man at RAC actually got hold of a genuine VW one too fully etched with the VW logo so was very happy, may take a while to get a good screen and make sure it does not have one of those hideous sun screens that go 1/4 way down the screen too. Good Luck buddy! Also may be worth checking the body work underneath the screen as if its rotten it needs sorting pronto and as its going into the body shop may be worth getting that done too.
  7. Shouldn't be a problem claiming off insurance mate, i've had 5 windscreens now fitted to various Corrado's and it was never a problem. Phone around from yellow pages and ask a few fitters as my insurance recomended auto glass too but i wanted to go to a chap i know who worked for RAC windscreens, so i took in the insurance paperwork to them and it was all sorted and booked in a day later. :?
  8. Wow that is bloody annoying Jim, thinking about it you did the right thing though mate and the person who's car it is ought to give you a call with a huge thanks and arrange a goodwill payment, if you left your number that is. I think you have done them a massive favour as it could've gone straight through a building or into folk walking around. Hope it doesn't look too bad..
  9. Gotta love Ham... but bank it till later and trust me there will be a later
  10. Or a machine mart store or screwfix warehouse if there are those near you..
  11. No offence taken buddy.
  12. Yep would easily suggest a skoda these days and when folk take the micky you get to take the micky back when you leave them in a cloud
  13. Only takes 2 mins maximum buddy, did mine when it was -3 so didn't want to hang about  used water pump pliers to squeeze it on and was a doddle.
  14. Yep also try hot water from the kettle to soften up the foam on the VR badge. ;)
  15. Corrado and VW logo are held with the tabs which have a bard like prong which holds them in place only the vr6 badge has sticky foam on it...i'd practice removal of the VW badge first as you have less chance of breaking it... Aye what our lass above says Lol
  16. Yep as Dave says if you look in the boot you can actually push the badges from behind and to remove the VR6 badge you can use dental floss :)
  17. Neil, As some have said dont bother i'd be inclined to take a look at what he has if i was ever coming back into C ownership, i'm sure he will always have several to look at and compare and that alone is worth the trip as no one else stocks them these days. Much as i hate anyone for making huge profit from next to nothing the guy is though upfront about it and after all is just trying to make a living. You will obviously know much more than he will so take that as an advantage. As for cars being overpriced who are we to dictate what someone else spends on a car? if its right for them or indeed if it was right for me i would pay what it was worth to me and i have done on 2 of my Corrados as some of you know  that doesn't mean i have more money than sense because i dont i can tell you  But if a car looked right and ticked all the boxes that to me is far more important than a few extra pounds even if it's a few extra thousand :? Does look Aqua to me as the light is quite dull it makes the car a darker blue, never seen a non storm mystic myself! only the chap on here who had it painted mystic.
  18. /Cough Yep you were definately in the last 3 too Tom but met Andy many times so he just Clinched it
  19. Wow well done Andy, really pleased for you and couldn't happen to a nicer bloke :salute:
  20. Quality entertainment Wullie :salute: Did you click on the Aviva bus too? impressive stuff
  21. If they write it off and they will want to by the way, they will give it a cat C or D and you then snd your MOT cert to get updated with this. they will offer you a settlement figure and out of that comes salvage which seems to be around 15% of the total cost, they will then offer you a cheque for the remainder and you then get the car fixed and re mot'd after the repair. Trouble is now your car has gone into storage so that also comes out f the final costs to you, which will be a lot as they will hike the price up. this will not help at all with the figure you recieve at the end of it all. Also advise them to get an assessor out to examine the car and put a cost to repair it on the car. this could be what writes it off as if it's more than they value it they will just offer you a low book price etc. Had all this very recently with my Nugget and its still ongoing although it is going to be repaired at a cost of around 3.5k but as i have an agreed value for 4k this was the saving grace. Cant recomend agreed value policcies enough. Good luck.
  22. Yep think they recomend the same battery for the whole C range mate so thats what i got too, will be hanging onto the reciept for the 5 year guarantee though just in case :D
  23. Just recieved another specilal card from the boys at DG Autotech, Many thanks guys it'll take pride of place next to the CCGB one. Love the Turbo'd background  Happy Christmas :x-mas: Kip & Jude x
  24. Bought a new battery for the 8v this week mate and got £40 off with the trade card so happy to go and get one with you if you need one
  25. Indeed dont let them take it away! I kept mine at home recently as i knew they would also charge silly amounts for storing it somewhere. Keep it at home if its not in the way and as it still has an MOT will even be ok to park on the road if thats what you need to do. Good Luck and get ready to dig your heals in :|
