  1. Yeah can get my hand inside the tank. It turns about 1cm but wont turn anymore. The pump does feel a little loose but still it wont twist anymore  Starting to think that when the pump was changed the pump wasnt put back in properly and the reason it wont come off now. I have an oil filter strap tool that should go round it i'll give that a go tomorrow maybe.
  2. Sorry to bring this up again but... Gave it another go today, i cannot for the life of me get the damn pump to release. Turning it is impossible, it will not budge. Tried pressing down on it and turning, still wont move. Any advice? Cheers.
  3. Exactly. Maybe worth linking this to the Brake discussion thread, just to make people aware.
  4. Try the ones on http://www.dubdesignindustries.com/ they do replacement glass, the down side is you lose the heated mirrors, unless you can take the heating element off the standard ones and put them on the new ones.
  5. It is indeed Force India if my memory serves me well... for once. :-D Spa has to be one of the best drivers tracks on the calender, but not so good as a spectator  its a long long lap. Still should be good and plenty of belgium beer flowing 8) Still back to the original question. The cars will be loud when you're next to them, but how loud are they when youre in the stand and the cars are driving by?
  6. I've seen that one before, on the road from the A64 >> Temple Newsam/Cross Gates/Lidl way, [/quote:3ljoxegt] Really, never seen it before myself. From memory (which isnt always reliable  ) It had white multispoke alloys and a body kit. Ring any bells Stretch?
  7. Any of you ladies off here in leeds today - Tornado Red rado going passed the ASDA at Killingbeck today around 5pm. I was waiting to go into the ASDA complex and did think you didnt see me at first until i saw the thumps up so apologies for the lack of response. Nice rado! 8) Not seen that one before, so not a local i guess.
  8. Who was it you spoke to Slim, was it Andy Freeman himself?
  9. DBP can look black in alot of light imo, if you go to the bottom of the latest page of the members thread theres one on there where you can see the colour.
  10. Fronts have a bearing between the top mount and the top plate. Worth changing. :D
  11. @ Dirtytorque Wy906 - to be honest i didnt aim for a specific colour when i was hunting for cars i just found one that was a good un and it just happened to be a Bordeaux pearl one. There are a few colours i like, cant decide which is the best... without being biased :D
  12. Just realised how bad this sentence i wrote sounds  -"It was still dribbling despite me using the WHOLE roll."
  13. Thanks very much David, cheers for the comments. It does scrub up nice, but the paint work is a little tatty in places... odd scuff and those damn stone chips on the front!!!! Yeah they do get hot especially above the manifold. Though the 6 branch is wrapped so that will help. It was only a very very small hole but the coolant didnt half shoot out of it. Funnily enough the hole was on top of the pipe and not underneath. Still if it was original, which i suspect it was, it did well to last 17 years without being replaced. Should be good for another 17 years! :D
  14. Well the Harris tape didnt work quite as well as i hoped. It was still dribbling despite me using the WHOLE roll. Still i got a new pipe yesterday and fitted it, wasnt cheap at £45!!! It was the pipe goign from the back right of the engine to the bulk head for the heater matrix and has a T junction in it with a smaller diameter pipe going to the throttle body. Still at least its fixed now.
  15. Nice short story ^^^ Not today but yesterday... fitted new coolant pipe - the one the comes out of the head and into the bulk head for the heater matrix, has a T junction with a pipe going to the throttle body. Wasnt cheap either at £45!! :cuckoo: Still i can go places with out steam pouring from the car.
  16. Yup i got some not so long ago but not directly from the dealers. Let me know if you struggle to get some.
  17. The wheels arent on the car any more Nath, infact im getting rid of them. BUT i still love seeing the work. It does look mean in the pics. Daft question alert!!!! - how do you know how much to pull each side and how do you know you've pulled the rear ns arch the same as the rear os arch and same with the fronts?
  18. Looks good mate! :D Id be scared to rub sandpaper on my paint work of fear of making it worse  But you did a good job :salute:
  19. I heard mine ONCE today.. so im still on the hunt. Regarding another problem in another thread i rocked the engine to check the gearbox mount was ok. It seemed it, but when im changing from 1st to 2nd gear i sometimes got a bit of a dull thud from behind the passenger side dash, so it could well be on its way out. My engine mounts are only a couple of years old, but the gearbox mount has never been replaced. Even if it is on its last legs im not convinced its that thats making the noise :( Its driving me mad :brickwall:
  20. who was in the black rado on that i spotted on the New Cross Green road? Spotted at about 5:15. Exchanged waves  :D
  21. I thought it was me seeing things ^^ Good work mate. Got anymore pics of the rear badge work?
