Spotted a Red Rado with a debadged grille - not sure of flavour. Saw you near Malvern on the A38 i think, i was in the bordeaux VR. Gave a flash and got a flash back. Sorry i didnt look over enthused as i was tired after spending the day in the sun at the Vanfest show

Kwik fit didnt have time for me tonight. I got there at 5.25 after finding my tyre was flat after id driven into the town centre. I was told it would take 40 mins to fix a tyre  Simply they didnt want to do it albeit being open for another 35 mins  Went down the road to a place called Alba tyres i'd used before. Said it would take 10 mins to fix a tyre. As it turned out the tyre was shredded on the inside (the bit that sits behind the inside of the rim once inflated), i was due to bad fitting - ill be going back to where the tyre was fitted. I wouldnt mind but the tyre has only been fitted for about 1000 miles and has load of tread. Anyway they fitted me a new tyre in about 20 mins. Damn kwik fit - lazt s0ds. So i would think Supercharged experience was a one off. Ok each branch will be different but my experience of kwik fit is theyre cowboys.

Makes a change someone saying something positive about Kwik-fit. Was the problem fixed, supercharged?

i use to have a corsa, and i still go and read that forum most days, dispite being banned  Banned for what, defecting?

If you need any more info let me know :D

Well it might, seen as one is 10cm shorter then the other. I've recently fitted the one that attaches underneath the dash - if it was 10cm shorter it may not have quite reached. I suppose you'll find out. Let us know how you get on. :D

Very nice. i like it. Take that Eco warriors and Prius owners!

 So now you have 6 Estorils?

And you guys are saying that most of the comments are fair? The engine was revolutionary for the time, and the Corrado is still raved over by some of the most respected car magazines out there.. a 15 year old Cavalier or Corsa aint going to be getting the same kind of love. Exactly, and the Corrado in any flavour will continue to be remembered way after their Vauxawful have been forgotten. So what its not the fastest machine, but it does have road presences.

 i knew that, sorry i might not have been clear As long as youre not trying to change the direction when the fan is on full as it makes it hard to turn for some reason and can break. If you're not, then definately check the cables. I've just changed the 2 cables at a cost of about £20 for both. This was after breaking the cog mechanism in the heater controls and cost me £40 for a second hand one off here. They can be fiddly to hook on and off the levers in the dash but other then that its fairly straight forward. It just means dismantling the centre dash to sort it.

I've owned an 8v in the past, it was my very first corrado flavour (awwww  ), so i had nothing to compare it to. But it seemed fast enough, ok not as fast the VR i have now. But it could still pull and i used to get great mpg out of it. Plus the 8v is alot rarer ;) the 8v gets my vote.

But if Ferrari get there 3rd car who's to say they won't offer the seat to fisi if his 5 races are a great success? :)[/quote:3hp74qhl] is that Ferrari with 3 cars and all the other teams with 2?

£116  Is it the little circuit board missing? Could be worth getting a second hand one off someone from here, if anyone is currently breaking a rado. I've got a spare bulb but will require soldering on.

Remind me is the knob position for the dash vents furthest right? Does the knob just not engage the position even with a little force? The selector knob when turned pushes or pulls (depending which way you turn it) a cable which in turn moved the mechanism to direct the air. The cables with ages gets worn and hard to move. Would be worth taking the heater controls out and taking a look at the cables. Dont force the knob as it will snap the peg it sits on - going from experience.

Looks tidy mate. :D Flash red by the looks of it. Dont see as many flash red rados. Def lose the wheels

Very confusing... no matter how careful i am, i cannot get my VR over 35 mpg - thats the highest i've ever had it. I've never been able to get it up to 40. Went on a long drive yesterday and couldnt get the mpg over 33  You guys are doing well getting it up to 40 -
 yeah that cog is fooooooked :D Ive recently got a defroster cable and im sure its 480mm ish. I'll check on etka in the morning.

Saw a silver rado at the lights just after the arndale centre in headingley. Looked an early one, going by the grille, possibly a valver. We were both waiting at the lights facing eachother. Both gave a wave :D

Just went and drove? Sounds awesome :) yes for once just drove it with no tinkering to get it going first :D It must be a first ... I forgot to add that once back in Leeds we came across a solver rado, valver i think, was an early going by the 7 slat grille. -

Went for a long drive in the rado with the missus today. Ended up driving about 180 miles - from leeds up to harrogate, then onto Ripon, then headed over the top (just north of) the yorkshire dales and around. Then finally back down the A65 through skipton back to leeds. It was a fantastic drive, the rado didnt miss a beat and was a complete pleasure to drive especially around the windy roads. :D :D :D  -
Anyone?

Yes bumper needs to be slid forward mate. There's 5 bolts in the engine bay that the bonnet rests on, if you know what i mean. There's also one under the sill near where the arch starts. But the worst one is the one on the inside of the arch. So once you have removed the arch lining, you will have to scrape away some of the underseal to get to the nut. I wouldnt say it was really hard to remove arch, but thats not saying you wont come across a prob.
