Some one with a bentley manual maybe able to help you. Sorry i dont have a copy. To be honest the next thing to do is vagcom it. It may save you alot of time and effort trying to fault find.

aah.... well, tbh i think he'd be best staying at force india. Its a much improved car and he has a racing seat. Sure, driving for Ferrari would be great, but its only 5 races and then he's just the test driver. Be interesting to see how he performs in those 5 races in a ferrari.

Maybe worth starting by changing the wiper stalk and see if that fixes the prob. :)
-
I'd put my money on it being one of the wheel sensors as opposed to the ECU. As Job says, get it hooked up to VAGCOM.
-
Can anyone help me with the part number?
-
 VERY low. :D Hope you live somewhere with nothing but flat roads though
-
Rob do you have a part number, cant seem to see it on ETKA
-
It is a nice fit yeah. 8)

If it has the 2x2 connector in the car then you will need the adaptor to plug into the 16 pin lead. But when i bought mine from ebay it came with the adaptor anyway.

Not sure really, i'm guessing the contact wears down. You can see on the pics that as the arm goes up and down with the fuel it rubs a contact along a sensor, this must wear down causing irratic behaviour at a guess :confused4: That seems a reasonable theory. Cheers for the info and the pics Rob, appreciated. I'll take a look into it. Gaz

The roads arent any better anywhere else.
-
Ah ok  How does the arm wear to cause inaccurate readings?
-
WHich part is the sender on those pic?

Me too, excellent drive by Fisy, that car was so planted. I am really enjoying this season, everything is so changeable. I never really rated Fisichella, but i have to say he drove the race perfectly. Didnt put a wheel wrong. Be good to see force india do well in the remaining races. The question is, will Button throw it all away  He's only ahead by 18 points now.

 Nice thread Joe :D

Nice one Rob, thanks for that. will give it a go. Will the whole thing need replacing to sort the guage out or just the lever? Are parts still available from the dealers?

Cant remember my log in details again DOH! :? Havent been able to change anything since it started  C0CK! -
I thought the gap was normal tbh. My VR is like that and previous C's ive owned were too.

The engine is standard. But I do have a 6 branch manifold and a CDA, that is it. Though they werent fitted until the engine was outside its warrenty period. Not sure if that would affect your warrenty or not. Its worth changing the water pump and clutch whilst the old engine is out. In case youre not aware, VEGE will only sell you an engine on a exchange basis - your old engine for the new one plus what ever it costs. I had a garage fit it that i know, but got it on 'mates rates' as such. He removed the ancillaries and old engine and refitted the new engine as and when he had the chance. So took him a week or so, he did me a deal on the price of fitting. So, i cant help you there, sorry.

Should I return to Corrado ownership???
Critical_Mass replied to too hot's topic in General Car Chat
YES! thats all there is to say. End of.. -
Would be good. But i cant see Vettel, or webber for that matter, leaving Redbull. At least not next year.
-
I can go with that ^^ but what if Toyota isnt in F1 in 2010?
-
I've got a VEGE engine in my VR. Had it fitted in Jan 08. I've done about 10k and am very happy with it. Doesnt use any oil and the engine pulls as it should.

So once you have the metal disc removed thats held on by the 3 screws. What do you need to remove then to get to the arm?
