Can someone point out the differences in early and late slam panels? I ask because, i had a bump in rado, managed to get all panels replaced including slam panel. I went to shut the bonnet for a test and only the passenger side closed the drivers didnt and the bonnet is slanted. Now i measured the wings (diagnally) when i replaced them. Cant see how come the bonnet doesnt fit as it should as the panels seem to be correct spacing ETC. Now ive managed to rag the front pass light out to release the bonnet but having trouble doing so. Are the holes that the bonnet "springs" go into in the same place on both late and early slam panels? Any help appreciated.

Aye mate, i was on about it nearer to last xmas, bcstudent, told me the exact same thing. Even though the damage wasnt THAT bad, like bcstudent said parts are pricey. The rear bumper alone could be 300 from VAG. Is the floor plan in the boot bent? I was lucky enough to be able to do the work myself where pos instead of it getting wrote off. The chances are they'll write it off as Corrado prices are low. Scandalas i know, especially when its not your fault. Let us know how you get one mate.

Mint motor mate very swish. One thing though. Wouldnt the fire exstinghuisher be better off in the cabin. If theres a fire isnt the engine bay the most likely area for a fire to be in, thus not a good idea to open bonnet if it is in flames.

Couldnt agree more. Had a bump over xmas in my rado. An idiot in a MG (the big one 75 i think it is) decided to just pull out and slam it in reverse to back into his drive, ON A DUAL CARRIAGE-WAY. Any way i slammed into the side of him. My bonnet had a small triangle bend in it. Pass side bumper was broken. wing was dented. But managed to fix it all. Just need respraying. NOW, as for his. both drivers and drivers side pass dorr was buggered and his suspension had broken or something, couldnt move the car from the middle of the road. Im guessing its been wrote off cos its still not outside his house. HA funny if it was wrote off.

Similar to you Dr Forinor. Was never a VW fan, but didnt dislike them. Then i met my current girl friend, whos parents and all were mad about VeeDubs. They had being going to shows etc for years. I now enjoy going to the shows, fecking love it, great atmos. I hadnt really noticed the Corrado that much, i was only 6 when they came out in 1988. But i fell in love with it immediately. I used to have a pug 106, nothing special 1.1 standard and thought ive got to get rid, I WANT A RADO! Had a look around for one in the Leeds area. Found a cracker of one in MINT condition 2.0 8v.... shame i only had it for 4 month. Now i have my G60 :) and im loving it! i think its great that people are keeping em alive, having a future classic. AND not seeing many on the road (unlike those darn corsas) :x Its kewl being part of the forum sociaty everyone having the same passion.

Ok checked all the fuse (i know this is late but ive had other things to fix before fixing spoiler), non of the fuse have blown. The thing is, i had the bump, it still worked. Got home to check it properly, raising it with the button and it wont go back down. (stays up hit low speed when driving also). Where to look next?

good point gaz. plenty of room in the back of that jag to put a neck brace on and to slide a board under the injured party, and yes that glass does look like its being cut with a laser.
