  1. call me stupid but the only differences i see is the grill and the wheels DO look to sit high in the arches. Has that car being lowered do you know?
  2. Yeah same here, mine seems to run fine. Saying that i do complain about the lag of power in my G60 esp low down in the rev ranges. Could a lack of power from the battery mean lower performance, a G60 needs a lot of power doesnt it? or am i wrong? Im running an sns chip with 68mm pulley, new battery, not sure which. just standard over rest of engine

    Wheel Nuts

lol dinkus, Angle Grinder Man to the rescue *FLASH* Have to agree locking wheel nuts are a must if you have a nice set of rims. So unless, for some reason, you bought sh*t alloys i would recommend investing in them. whats 36 quid for the sake of losing hundreds?

    Wheel Nuts

If youre wanting to fit just normal nuts you will have to get the right diameter of the thread and length.
  5. Will someone post a pic of the late front end rado and the early, heard people mention this, but i cant tell the difference. Am i that DIM? Enlighted me someone.
  6. didnt check. When im driving around and car is at normal temperature. the water never seems to go over 70 anyway, not sure if thats a proper reading or the bash is not working properly
  7. ha ha make that 2. Yeah i also took a reading with no electrics on and it read 13. something cant remember what exactly. But the temp sensor read 800 and odd ohms too when the check list says 200-300, anyone tested theirs?
  8. cheers pal. Ill get back to ya once ive checked brush pack
  9. cheers matey! ill check it out. so with the voltage being too low, this will have a knock on effect with the readings of the senors will it?
  10. Ok, i saw a "check list" to do on the G60 engine, by using a multimeter. It goes through each sensor and tells you what the readings should be, or not if the case may be, when you've used the multimeter. Now ive just done a few of them on the list and the reads arent within the parameters of what the check list says. Including checking the voltage across the battery. It only read 12.3v when youve switched all of the electrics on (headlights, blower etc) and not staying above the 13 and odd mark. Dose this mean my alternator isnt working right. The battery in the car was replaced within the last 4 months. So back to the sensor readings, is the fact that ive had a chip with a 68mm pulley fitted, therefore requiring the CO adjusting effect the readings? One last thing. Just so someone can get me straight of the exact date- what is the last reg date of car where you can remove the cat? im thinking of getting a de-catted performance exhaust, as mine isnt far from needing replacing. Cheers Guys :)
  11. anyone interested on buying 4 OEM 15" 4x100 BBS? Need refurbing.
  12. no problem mate. I think that is one of the most useful items ive purchased on ebay. let me know how you get on.
  13. 8017814095, heres one, thats the auction no. This is a different one from what i got but still does the same job in the same way.
  14. hello all Designrob, this is a common problem on rados. BUT there is a solution other then buying a new handles thus needing a seperate key. This happened to me AND other day pass side broken and ive not yet fixed. Look on ebay, you can buy the little bit of metal that is the culprit for breaking and not allowing you to open the door. Ok for just 2 "indistructable" (according to the auction) pieces of metal it'll cost £30 but thats cheaper then the handles and no need for seperate key. It comes with instructions and may take you 10-30 mins depending on if you come across any problems. If you need any help mate give us a bell. Ill try find you the auction so you can email the bloke. From germany i think. But really its not that hard. take the handle out. There'll be a little pin that hollow. you have to screw a self tapping screw to grip the pin and pull it out. The broken bit of metal will be able to be taken out. Put the new bit of metal in and the new pin you also get. Grease it up! and fit the handle back on. BINGO there you go, a working handle.
  15. yeah my G60 does the same with the water temp, doesnt seem to be causing problems though.
  16. make? size? they are 205/40 17s as for make ill get back to you in a bit. Yeah when i bought the alloys they came with tyres and they felt has if they had no grip. But this as appeared to have gone unless youre accelerating like i said previous. Put it down to "wearing the tyres in" or something like that, cos they were new. What you think? they look right or not? I hit a deep pot hole in the road which dented the pass side front wheel, i wasnt happy seen as ive only had them 6 weeks. Which im in the process of claiming back from the council. AND guess what the stretch of road is now being resurfaced. Typical. Ive got 4 soon to be 5 (spare) BBS multi-spokes for sale, the standard ones. All with tyres, albeit 2 have slow punchers (195/50 15s). They are in need of a good refurb. Any offers?
  17. yes i experience lack of grip while accelerating harder then normal driving. When im turning a corner also while accelerating harder then normal, i experience light steering.
  18. so speaking of handling and 17s. ive fitted some 17s to my G60 with 205/40 17 tyres, i find theres less grip up front when cornering while accelerating or while moving off.
  19. thats a good way of putting it. At the end of the day its there to be enjoyed
  20. "but the gimps sleeping" :batman:
  21. It didnt look thick. I smelt it and it didnt smell like oil, in fact it didnt smell of anything
  22. well i did it maybe 4 weeks ago maybe more. I checked the oil last night and it wasnt low. Have to get it to the garage and get someone under it. PS fluid isnt black is it. Thing is i sniffed the black liquid and it didnt smell of oil, didnt smell of anything. It wasnt BLACK BLACK, maybe due to the fact its not THAT old. AND it didnt have that oily colourful look too it like oil does especially if water has got into it.
  23. ah do you take it off during summer? How hard is it to put it on? oil cooler. Wont there be a slight gain in power due to lower temps.
  24. yeah each to there own, jsut dont understand why youre hiding such a beautiful car under that thing
