  1. New Bosch pads up front. Glad to get shot of those dusty Greenstuff pads :-/ Was going to change the drivers mirror as water has got behind it and fit new window rollers to the drivers side - but couldnt be bothered in the end.. they'll wait for another day
  2. I've found Hardhouse today differs a bit from hardhouse 10 years ago. Now hardhouse is more like NRG... which could be distinguished from eachother ten years ago... not so much now. Would be interested to hear some of your hardhouse mixes if you have any?
  3. i know i have different calipers on either side as i replaced one myself - the handbrake mechanism is in different place. The piston will push out until up against the pads and will be fine.
  4. WOW they are some very nice CD decks you have there mate. I used to mix with vinyl and then went on to cds when i got into psychedelic trance and found it an easy to transfer from one media to the other. Again not my cup of tea, but sounds good. Always love hearing some one give it a crack :D Around the 10min mark reminds me of 8 bit music from old computer games... sound awesome haha
  5. Ah all very confusing haha. Shame they wont be making systems for the Corrado on both accounts :(
  6. Ive never seen different front calipers before. But as you say it would suggest the caliper is different. Pic of caliper could help mate. To resolve i put the thinner pads in. No real difference other than they wont last as long, but as its the rears, they dont wear quickly anyway. Eventually i will change the the calipers for the same type.
  7. Was it Magnex that went out of business then?
  8. Definately worth a check but from experience you'd smell the brakes binding and could set on fire - yes thats happened to me.
  9. No i dont think they're in business anymore Wendy.
  10. had this issue with the rears. i bought a new rear caliper for one side and when i bought new pagid pads one side (original caliper) fit fine. The new caliper the pads were too thick. Turns out, for the rear at least, there are 2 different pad thicknesses.
  11. Got to say the dizzy VRs must have got phased out quickly. I have a 93 K reg VR and it has a coil. Did the dizzy VR only last about a year before being replaced with coilpack?
  12. Well back! :D Get some pics up! Where in Yorkshire are you?
  13. :D like! Did make sure he didnt get in... dont want a scare whilst going down the motorway
  14. Yeah possibly, i hope you're right - suppose the trip home will give me an idea if something wrong if it happens again :-// Its one thing after another, at the mo.
  15. hi all sorry to bring this back up. Everything has been fine since changing the sensor no problem at all. However this morning something odd happened. I was driving to work, temps were fine - coolant sitting around 80. Stopped in traffic for a minute and i saw steam coming out of the coolant bottle area - not loads but enough. Water temp went up to 90 but then back down to 70 (??) oil was 102 and went back down to 100. Got to work - was nearly there anyway and popped the bonnet to find the coolant cap and popped off and coolant had come out of the tank. Ive topped it up and put cap back on. So will see how it is on the way home... Any ideas? Obviously pressure has made it come off - thats what its meant to do. But why, there's been no signs of anything wrong.... Cheers Gaz
  16. The clicking could be the starter motor trying to engage. The starter is on the front right of the engine, down where the battery sits - could be where the clicking is coming from. Could try tapping it with a hammer. Does the car stall when you try to jump it?
  17. My mate has the new shape ibiza and my parents have the previous shape ibiza. Both pretty good cars. I'll pass that info on Pat, thanks. At the end of the day its her money and her choice. But and i'll try say this without being sexist, just stating fact, she doesnt know much about cars other than the colour and the looks. Cheers for the info.
  18. Rear view visibility doesnt look that great either to be honest.
  19. Cheers guys. Its starting to sound an expensive car to keep due to cost of Audi parts and working on the car will be a ball ache. imo i think she'd be better off with a little lupo - it will be her first car too btw.
  20. No either had i until i a google search on the cars. saying that reading more now there IS a bonnet that you can lift - held down by some clips, but they have a service hatch at the front for topping liquids up. yes private sale.
  21. Hi all, Need some advice on an Audi A2. Off to view one over the weekend for my girlfriends sister. Just wondering if there's any common problems with them, areas to look for - obviously rust shouldnt be a problem. Also as you're unable to open the bonnet, how can you check the engine bay for oil leaks, water leaks etc. I believe the bonnet is bolted down - so to get to the engine that would have to come off - i guess there's no other way. Any advice or opinions are welcome. Cheers Gaz
