  1. I put a cone filter on my old 8v and discovered a problem. The intake to the MAF was square but the filter was round, i did buy an adapter so you may need one of these. I may have it somewhere still if you need it - though not sure where the screws are for it. I would imagine the ramfilter kit will fit the 8v rado if its for the mk3 golf - same engine isnt it, maybe someone can confirm that? Ignore the adapter comment - i notice that the kit comes with one. :D
  2. The fact you were on your own when you shouted out rather than with someone, is more worrying
  3. Yes the late one are slightly wider to accomodate the VRs wider track width. But you cant really see it by eye.
  4. Fantazia 8) was too young for the raves in the 90s but loved the tunes :D I bet you're going be really hot in what ever you suit you choose! How about a few of you go as the Teenage mutant ninja turtles?
  5. J reg rados were early so has correct grille on it, doesnt it?
  6. From memory all mine are the same.
  7. I think you guys have convinced me. If the gtechnics lasts 9-12 months and only needs jetwashing, i think its worth spending the £30 on it - will only be £30 a year so hardly anything really. Will check out the vids.
  8. No worries mate, appreciate the response to the thread all the same :D
  9. Do you just apply with a cloth with that. How often do you have to apply it and how long would one tub last? I dont mind spending £30 on a tub if it really does protect that well and the tub lasts long enough. ---------- Post added at 10:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:42 PM ---------- Cheers Phil ill bear that in mind. :D
  10. I wouldnt say the body wax was hard, its reasonably soft and easy to apply but i wouldnt say it was a paste. Cheers dude. :) Chris those speedlines look awesome!! 8) Im getting the feeling im going to have too much choice
  11. Enthusiast - Does the poorboys wheel wax differ that much to the body wax. I have poor boys body wax - just wondering how that wheel wax differs to it. i guess the temperature tolerance is higher on the wheel wax. Karl - The £30 wheel wax, is it worth double the price of the other stuff?
  12. Hi all, Ive just ordered a new set of rims, i went for a set of 16 x 7 Cades Eros wheels and im obviously wanting to keep them in good condition. Ive had my current set of rims more or less ruined by brake dust. The EBC greenstuff pads that were responsible have now gone (thankfully) but still want to protect from dirt and break dust etc. So my question is, can anyone recommend me a wheel wax that actually protects. Tried products like muc off in the past and they are p00p. I dont mind a bit of hard work so something in a tub as opposed to a spray as i think they'll be more durable. Fire away.....Go!
  13. Hi Daz £25 is cool, packaged v well ;) :D PM me your paypal address and i'll send it over Cheers Gaz
  14. imo i think body panels would be top priority. I cant afford carbon fibre, like many others, but fibre glass would be more afford able and we wouldnt have to worry about rust!!! oh and fibre glass rear number plate light cover.
  15. £20 sounds perfect. Is that posted Daz? Paypal?
  16. None car related - £450 fluval 190 litre corner aquarium for £100. :D
  17. Indeed - you dont want to jump out of the pan and into the fire by buying a VR.
  18. Thanks, all the above has given me ammo for when my dad says "you've spent a fortune on that car" when ever i say somethign needs replacing on it. When you put it like you guys have it puts things into perspective. Newer cars still need paying for whether thats the monthly payments or service/maintenance. Also as Kev says fixing a newer car isnt so simple as on an older car. Hey even changing something as simple as a darn headlight bulb can cost a small fortune if it means you have to take it to the dealers who have to remove bumper to get headlight out etc... ridiculous. Then there's prices of new parts - ok some Corrado parts prices are still as new, but least second hand/refurbished ones can also be sourced. At least i know if my car breaks down, i can fix it myself or attempt to  as opposed to having to get it diagnosed first.
  19. Nice one Matt, got MOT coming up and noticed a hole in my headlight - stone damage i think.
  20. As above, in good condition, no cracks. Thanks.
  21. hi steve is the headlight a late headlight and is it a drivers? Cheers
