As long as it is only tyre pressures and not something more worrying. What PSI would you recommend using for 205/45 16 tyres?

Classic Parts - What shall we bulk buy next?

I got the rear splash guard from the dealers not long ago..... maybe old stock, but def available. -
Ive been running 32 on the fronts. The top mounts are a couple of years old. The whole tie rods and both ends have been replaced. Wishbones balls joitns are apparently fine as i asked for them to be checked. Wishbone bushes, one was replaced last MOT (same time as tyres) the other not as it was ok. Just dont want to spend money on a good set of tyres for the same to happen to them
-
Hi all, May last year, for the MOT i had 2 new front tyres fitted as the old ones had worn and also had an "uneven surface" - i was told that instead of having a relatively flat tread face they had a dip in the middle of the tread. Didnt think too much of it as they were cheap tyres and were to be replaced anyway. I replaced them with a pair of Avon ZV3s (not my first choice). The car has worn tie rod ends on it and a couple of weeks ago they were replaced and tracking checked. I was told again the front tyres have the same issue regarding the dip in the tread faceand are also worn - the tyres are less than a year old! So my questions are, could the worn tie rod ends cause this or could there be anything else wrong to cause this. The tyres need to be changed already as they are worn anyway. Any ideas.

Dont mean to be rude DudeVR6 but the nose on the FI is ugly as is the Caterham. But both look better than the Ferrari. Will be interested to see how they behave on the track.
-
Hasan im assuming thats the same as the silicone stuff you get in trainer boxes etc. i had some in the car too, couple of bags in the front and a couple in the boot. made no difference at all. Im thinking window seals

Beautiful car mate, looks stunning. Gorgeous paint work. I hope the other half realises how lucky she is to drive such a car on a daily basis. :)

The interior door pull light is a good idea, loads of people who have been in my car have often been unable to find the door pull when trying to get out in the dark. Could you run something off the window switch?
-
ah yeah course it is  i thought it was the external temp sensor at first haha.
-
yep makes sense. Maybe worth doing but in the grand scheme of things will it make that much difference? Is that a sensor going into the hole on the top edge of the wing 3CM?
-
Take the panel off and have a look at the mechanism.
-
And that exactly where mine has started. Just at the crease where the sill ends and the wing starts. Must have got cracked and its slowly peeling the underseal. I like the idea of the brush on stuff, would save me havign to buy a compressor.
-
Thanks for the pics mate, really helped. If it will give me a better finish ill consider getting a compressor and gun. In regards to how much of the sill you sanded back, what about under neath how far did you go. Was it to the lip the scissor jack stands on?

New garage - what to put in my want list?
Critical_Mass replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
Nice Jay... im jealous. Would love a room to work on the corrado out of the cold and wet. How about a lift - or is that pushing it? Failing the above - how about a pit? Security? Agree with all over the above suggestions by Portent. -
Cheers Carrots. WIll just need an air gun now
-
Id often thought about this myself. Could the spoiler ever be frozen down - but in 7 years of owning corrados, its not ever happened.
-
Its back up now.
-
May be dirt or just need greasing inside. Firstly does it do this when using button and automatically? Have you tried raising it manually using the winder in the boot lid? (take panel off and pull the knob and then turn).
-
scruff, i assume you mean light sanding? Where can i get this U-pols Gravitex from? how far up did you sand? just the swage line where the sill ends?
-
I have a can of stone chip and have sprayed some over the area, just to give it a little bit of protection until it can be sorted. But the problem with it is, its a aerosol, its a bit thin and its black - the car is bordeaux.
-
I read that somewhere too... pretty grim to read.
