The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Critical_Mass replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Washed, polised and waxed for the winter - though should have done it earlier as it was a chore getting the polish off due to the cold. The poorboys wax was easy to get off despite the temperature. Started to realise the old gal needs some paint sorting and the 1 or 2 rust patches it has sorting :-( -
Yeah they could be an option, dont mind changing them more often if they're brighter when they work.
-
Yup i needed one (assume youre referring to VR) and its was £80 odd. Madness! ended up getting a second hand one. best off saving for some samcos
-
Where from mate? Are they bright?
-
 i realise that, though it could still be useful haha.
-
No surely not. The Corrado could hae easily been sat at the zebra crossing with no brakes applied. Regardless if the brakes lights were on or not the Chrysler driver should have seen the car in front.

Dont want to steal anything away from TimDoc, but found this on another thread Im not sure if the one TimDoc has is white - just thought it would be of use being the correct colour. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-FRONT-BUMPER-SPOILER-LATE-STYLE-G60-VR6-16V-8V-/270869408046?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f1113292e -
Wullie may be interested, in right colour too.

3rd brake light - Vauxhall Vectra (bear with me...!)
Critical_Mass replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in Interior
hmm wouldnt look right and i hate those LEDs people have started to fit.. looks tacky. The Audis can pull it off. They do annoy me also as i find it frustrating to see someone with lights on when its daylight and good weather and they're really blinding. rant over! -
Ah i dont want to damage the relflectors. Hmmm maybe try the Philips extreme then or the Osram bulbs maybe. Was looking on the net earlier and saw a pair of bulbs for £50 odd. can these realyl be that much better?

I like the US third brake light under the spoiler. BUT imo it doesnt sit high enough on the car - which is the point of the third light isnt it? One on top of the window would be better placed. -
Hi all, Has anyone tried the "rally spec" headlight bulbs halfords sell? I was considering trying some of these. I have an uprated headlight loom, i have replaced the bulbs, but cannot remember which ones. Im looking at still getting a bit more illumination but without going down the HIDS route. I know they're "not for road use" but i cant see them being overly bright in the Corrado. I was going to fit one bulb and compare it to the existing bulb, see how they differ. What other brighter bulbs are there? Thoughts?

Ah man, you cnat break it after owning it for 14 years. A front wing and a slam panel an indicator and it will be good as new. -

Ill keep my eye out for other potential candidates with similar rear ends to the corrado. -

How does the vectra light fit against the rear screen. Does it fit flush with no modding? -
Its a wonder the tyre was fit for use after they'd set it on fire i dont know how many times!
-
Thats a poor excuse tbh (not you, them!). Even worse when the corrado (well mine at least) seems to attract kn0bbers that like to get too close to you.
-
Could be number of people, not forced to be on here. I'm sure we'll hear about it if he's a CF member.
-
Ditto! Sad news :(

Got this too Ryan, started a few weeks back (i did create a post). Temp doesnt get to 90 now, it will get to 90 (normal operating temp) in traffic, but soon drops again when on the move. It can even go down to 70. Oil temp is fine though as is MPG. I cant decide whether its the weather or the stat - stat is only a couple of yeras old.
-
The Lambda isnt used until the engine is up to temp. Referring to another thread regarding Valver mpg, 27 isnt bad at all.
