  1. Right guys, got a few of them posted today. THey're only light so i decided to stick a couple of stamps on them and stick them in the letter box.
  2. Yeah been taking the switches out of the dash and those metal clips slip out easily and behind the dash!!!
  3. Glove box, squeaks. Which i think is the mesh/hatched plastic on top of it rubbing on the underside of the dash.
  4. Thats the hardest part, knowing what bit of trim is the one rattling squeaking. Got a terrible squeak coming from what i think is the passenger side rear speaker trim. Only squeaks over bumps - doesnt help when the trims been removed to fit new suspension, or dismantling the dash to fix a bowden cable, or as Kev says an alarm fitter having a go at the dash. But i agree that overall the Corrado is pretty solid inside, considering its age. You'll get it with every car regardless.
  5. Got anymore, just lost both down the back of the dash for my ABS light :(
  6. Cheers fella. I know its not being long and i seem to be rushing peeps for the £2, but i want to be able to get these posted at the same time :D
  7. You may still get one yet mate, a few people have yet to get in touch plus Kempy has said he may not need one anymore. But he'll let me know.
  8. Didnt realise the red badge was for the dizzy and the silver for the coilpack. Mine is coilpack but has red badge on the rear. Ham.
  9. havent got these posted yet, waiting til towards the end of the week to see if any more monies comes my way. Then i can get them posted all at the same time. Hope thats ok,
  10. Thats not just on storms tbh. "normal" VRs have the 2 closed slats also. But i agree, another 2 open slats would help air flow. Not sure why VW only made them with one open slat???
  11. Yeah id did and it worked when i tested it. But when i put the cover back on it to then fit it back to the car, the LED bent and fell off :(
  12. Cheers Jim, i'll double check the solders. Ive noticed this morning whether the rear window orange light is on or not the heated screen appears to be on all the time. Will have to take it back apart. The orange light works despite the end of the wire which connects to the middle pin has burnt away so im guessing whats left of the wire is touching something else. Also tried doing my passenger window switch over the weekend, as its a bit knackered anyway so used it as a trial. Unfortunately it was a lot trickier then i thought it would be, unsoldered all 5 pins not a problem. Got the circuit board off ok, unsoldered the the green LED, but when ive tried to solder back in the red LED, i just cant get it to do it correctly. Think ive messed the switch up a little bit, the switch still can be used to operate the windows, but there's no LED on it now  Managed to do the fog light switches though, they look spot on :D
  13. Just so people know, i can get more of these made if necessary. Though going to see how the first batch gets on first.
  14. Im afraid so. Though you could catch as much as you can in a large bucket and reuse it.
  15. Cheers. No i need a new bulb as the wire as burnt its wire. The rear window switch is wired the same as the fog lights.
  16. Can anyone tell me what kind of bulb is in the heated rear window switch and where i can get one?
  17. Sure its not infinate. I can leave the forum logged on for a week at a time and dont get logged out.
  18. What do you mean the middle of suspension. Are you referring to the actual strut or just the threaded rod? The coilovers should have a a cone metal piece ontop of the coilover spring. If its the fronts, you'll then have the donut shaped bearing, there's then a nut that holds the bearing. Then there's a rubber topmount that sits ontop of the bearing - the top mount butts up to the body of the car. Again assuming its the front, under the bonnet, you'll then have the top plate with another nut ontop of that. If its the rear, you'll again have the cone shaped piece on top of the spring, with a nut holding this down and then a rubber top mount (no bearing). Then inside the car a series of nuts and a top plate and top rubber mount. You'll prob have to take the coilover off and check everything i back on in the correct order
  19. Ok more confused. Did the rear and front fog lights a go. Both work fine, UNTIL i turn the front fogs on, then the LED on the fronts go off? None of the wires are touching and they're wired up the same as the green LED?? Hmmmm Any advice welcome. - EDIT - took another look and wired one of the LED legs to the wrong pin. Resoldered and i will test again tomorrow. BTW Nath how did you do the Window switches? Cant seem to seperate the circuit board from the plastic holder to under neath to unsolder the LED. Or did you just cut off the green LED and solder in the red using the existing legs of the green?
  20. Well gave the heated rear window switch ago just now. Very fiddly but the LED does now work and looks rather smart. BUT now the orange ring on the switch lights up when the lights are off and no LED, but when the lights are on, the LED is on and no orange light. When i first wired it up i plugged it into the car and the orange light was on constant and wouldnt switch off. The led was on when the lights were only on. Took it all back apart and the wire from the clear light to the furthest away pin of the red led had burnt away, so i reattached what was left to the top of the red pin. Have i wired it incorrectly, firstly and then again the second time?
  21. Well i got them tonight. They're by no means spot on, there's a few points that ive noticed about the metal version. Firstly the stem tapers half way up but the metal ones dont seem to taper so much (see pic). Secondly, the hole through the centre on a couple of them MAY need drill out a tad on a couple of them - possibly not though. BUT hopefully this wont stop them doing their job. :D To behonest, im not expecting payment for these guys, though a couple of quid for the postage would be good :D Anything left, i'll donate to the CF. If you could send payment as a gift via paypal, to [email protected], if you could also tell me your name, CF username and address. Jon - yeah i'll post both to the same address if thats ok. neuon2003 - sorry mate, i dont have one for you. But if i can get anymore made, i'll put you first on the list fella. Though if someone doesnt pay for theirs, i'll make it yours.
  22. I would expect a dodgy starter to get worse over time, rather then sudden. Where as a dodgy immobiliser could be fien one min and faulty the next.
