Welcome to corrado ownership!!! Scarlett - did they not all have cats then?
-
when my HG went i kept having water leaks, it blew the flange (what a word!!) on the right of the engine a couple of times and blew a hole in the radiator. These were the olny signs on mine until the compression test was done. I didnt have any problems with 'mayo' on the filler cap etc... If your worried then take the car to your friendly garage, get them to do a compression test to make sure all is ok. Also, as most people know, i over filled my engine with oil, after draining and running for a bit she was all ok. Is your car de-catted? if not you may have damaged the cat by overfilling. should add, this was a G60, but i assume syptoms/signs etc.. would be the same What ever you do, regardless of how much you have to spend on the thing, DONT regret buying it!! Andy.

got to agree, much prefer the channels that are interesting and informative, Discovery, nat geo etc.... Top gear is one of a few programs i watch on 'normal' tele because its highly entertaining and involves something i like! cant understand why people watch shows like BB, why watch a group of people that are struggling to be classed as adults do stupid stuff in a house when theres much more interesting stuff on like 'air crash investigation' 'seconds from disaster' 'how its made' 'massive engines' think im sounding like a 'geek' now!!

now im really pissed!!!! someone from down the road came round a few mins ago to tell me my car had been damaged. Went to look and some fecking bastid had not only lifted up all my wipers but decided to bend the f*ck out of my wiper blades! Seriously considering selling the girl and getting something shit that i dont care about. -
AFAIK the early C's didnt have a switched live for the head unit. my old mk2 didnt nad my C with an early interior doesnt. Im more than prepared to be wrong though!!
-
As all the other guys have said, have a look at all the models and decide which you prefer. for me its the G60, but everyone has their own opinions and at the end of the day there isnt a right or wrong answer!! As for not getting the full potential from B Roads??? are you mad?? thats where they are most fun!
-
you will be best off getting the Lupo Aero wipers to be honest they make a huge difference to seeing in the rain, there was a group buy going on somewhere, not sure if its finished though!

The worst thing is that obviosuly some little shite had decided it would be fun to do it, ok there was no damage but it could be one hell of a repair bill! does seem to be 'the time of year' for it! jealous the lot of them. -
just got home from a couple of days in London to be told my alarm has been going off all afternoon, well there can really only be 2 reasons for it, either someone had broken in or it had been hit pretty hard! Went to look at car and saw 1 footprint on the offside side of the spoiler (bloody good job it goes down) 2 on the roof (1 on the sunroof) and 2 on the bonnet. Al i can say is im bloody lucky there isnt any damage that i can see!! took some pics but they didnt come out very well coz of the sun and shiny paintwork!! Think that comes across slighlty less pissed off than i am!

My G60's water temp only ever goes above 70 in traffic, AFAIK, the light next the icon you would assume to be a temp warning is actually collant level light (hence why it came on during the drive home from seller when level was low) If your oil temp is 85 then i would guess that your collant temp being at 70 is probaby about right. No doubt someone will be along to correct me shortly.....

liking the plan dom!!
-
do the servicey type stuff, oil, filters etc... and a good old clean!!!

for me, lsoing the bump strips, clear rear and side repeaters and debadging the front make it look alot more mordern and up to date. Not a fan of the standard wheels as they just look too small in the arches, but thats just my opinion! Mines been lowered 60mm onto my 17s and for me it looks right (maybe could go a little lower though!) all personnal tast though!if in doubt get your self some height adjustable coilovers and have a play until you find the look thats right for you. as for suspension, ive been driving with my Weitec coilovers for about a week (500miles) and the ride is damn good better than my old silverlines ever were! give g-man a call, see what he can do for you!
-
lol, only if you didnt mind feeling constantly sick for those 8 months!!!
-
Hmmmm somewhere in portsmouth selling the stuff, think i might give it a miss still!! all the tesco's around my area do the 99RON stuff too. Good old tesco!
-
Those ones were well and truely useless!! thats why they had to come off the car! almost no fluid left in them and battered to death! As far as i know G-Werks have binned them! obviously feel free to give them a call, but you wont want to put them in the car in the state they are, its just dangerous!
-
Can also vouch tha Darren (g-man) is the man you want to work on you G! None of the nonsense you tend to get from some garages! honest opinions too, if somethings not good he'll tell you, and will go out of his way to help! very accomodating when it comes to drop offs and pick ups!! and the car rolls out all shiny!!

Just got back from the MOT, shes passed!! hopefully ill never an MOT quiite that expensive again!! One wierd thig was that the hanbrake was less effective now than it was last time when the pads were very worn and the brakes were just rubbish!! shes sounding alot better now that the 3 exhaust blows have been fixed! no need for music anymore! Gotta say a huge thanks to Darren again!
-
had all the braking system replaced, discs, pads, fluid! Weitec Hicon TX Plus adustable coilovers fitted along with top mounts etc... She had best part of £1,200 spent on her! well worth it! should sail through the MOT tomorrow!
