ok, here's the deal. as i'm sure most of you are aware i'm canadian living here in the uk for awhile....and as much as i love london...home is home...i'm planning on returning to toronto late next year. here's where the problem is....i bought a mk2 g60 early this year which i sold and bought the VR...my plan was always to ship a car back to toronto with me,,but there's a problem I finally got a letter from VW indicating the production date on my VR is Sept 92...dam!! canada has a rule that you can only import a car 15 years or older, i was hoping the date would be late 91 or early 92 so i won't have to wait so long to ship it...so i have a couple options... 1. Sell the car and buy something older 2. 0r put the car in storage when i leave and ship it Sept 07!! i'm not too keen on the storage idea since i won't be here to keep an eye on it..and start it every now and then...i was thinking of trading it for a Rallye or another mk2 g60...what are your guys thoughts?

i did ask him...his responce was he has more than one set and the same guy wants them all!! i suppose it could happen..

I've noticed some really odd things happening on ebay over the past few months and was wondering if anyone else experienced it? I was bidding on a set of alloys for the VR, alloys that were listed about 3 weeks before which I thought someone had already won. Anyways.....alloys were re-listed so I decided to bid...and what do u know...the same guy who won the auction last time was bidding again?? He ended up out bidding me..i thought it was odd he wanted the same set of alloys....as soon as the auction ended i got a ebay message saying a got a second chance to buy the alloys...looks like these 2 guys (or same person) are pulling some kind of scam...really piss's me off people do this to drive up the price....

henny...i do agree with u...the Corrado is one of the best "drivers" cars i've owned. a car doesn't have to be the fastest thing in the world to be a pleasure to drive. I've only owned one other VW before the C...but the C ranks up there beside some other cars i've owned....the first thing i did when i bought my c a couple of months ago is change all the suspension components....bushings, koni kit..etc....and i must say the Corrado is amazing through the twisties!

Henny...don't get me wrong....i'm sure there are plany of C's out there such as yours that can hold it's ground against many newer cars...i'm just doing a stock vs stock comparison.....

I'm probably gonna get flamed for this heavy...but IMO the C is NOT a track car....at least by todays standards. Back in the day the C was something but I think it really falls short nowadays. I've had the pleasure of running a Acura ITR through the pylons recently and I can say it is truly a great track car...maybe not a 1/4 racer but amazing through the course. I know it would leave the C in the dust...stock vs stock....don't get me wrong, I love the C but i know where it belongs and it's not on a track....

From what my mechanic is saying he's taking the reading from cold.....not sure from where?

Anyone know what the oil pressure should be for a VR motor? My motor is reading 6 bar?!! is that normal?????

marcus....i'm sure there are plently of people on this board who care if a g40 is faster than a Corrado....my point is you can't compare 2 cars in different classes....what's the point in doing that? with enough money any car can be made faster than another..

exactly!! who really cares how quick it is!! i'd rather be riding in a Corrado than a G40 any day...and i don't think it's worth comparing cars in 2 completely different categories
