dinkus...i'm not sure but i'll check with the mechanic if he tested it with the engine running..cause if he didn't im getting my car from him ASAP!
-
132!! damn....i'll start with the O2 sensor then...why would the crank sensor pickup a fault because of a bad o2?
-
to tell u honestly...once you've done something once it becomes 10x easier after that....i worked on my first VW a month ago...MK2 G60, swapped the suspension out....did the VR over the weekend and it was a piece of cake..aside from the odd bolt stripping...
-
had my VR into the mechanics today to sort out why she runs like shit! plugged the car in and it threw back O2 sensor and crank sensor...anybody know how much these parts are and where to get them from besides the dealer? thanks dutch
-
i've also got a vid of a street race between a VR and a SRT-4....gonna try and dig it up.....VR has all the Shcrick stuff while the SRT-4 is a stage 3 setup....but I don't think you guys will like the outcome
-
or having a vid with all the smoke breaks/seized bolts deleted!
-
makes it look so easy!!
-
good luck with it...my suggestion would be to pick up a nice lhd g60 and ship that one back....whatever u choose hope it goes smooth...
-
right click/save as http://www.kneedragger.net/dsm.wmv cool vid.....

hey...all i know is the U.S is very strict with importing cars. I'll be importing my VR back to Canada next year so I'm starting the process now...but the rules are different between canada and the U.S. is your c lhd?
-
thanks for that...will have a look through....
-
lol...gotta love the scarcism! tried the search function but too many similar problems with a wide variety of solutions...bascially my C seems to have a misfire/stumble when in any gear at a low rpm...when i give it throttle at a low rpm she seem to stumble a bit...new plugs/lead/cap and rotor..ran fine for a couple of weeks but all of a sudden. and the lumpy idle seems to have gotten worse
-
anyone?? what happened to the instant reply's??
-
Anyone know of a VR6 expert around the middlesex area?? I've got an annoying problem with my C and wanted someone who know's these cars to have a look... thanks d
-
i wish i had done that...but the digi cam was playing up, i was pressed for time and the sun a setting fast!! easy job...in the light of course......i don't recommend doing a suspension in the dark!
-
after an exhausting weekend, got the suspension in...of course nothing went according to plan...but it got done....ended up putting the rear suspension in the dark! what a mission! so far so good..ride is firm but bearable! will post pics soon...
-
lol...yes my name is Dutch...i have nothing to due with the lanugage or country with same name!! no worries...i get it all the time....and yes i'm canadian...just working here in the UK for awhile... to tell you honestly I wasn't in the market for a VR..i was looking for a 944S2 Turbo LHD...one day i came across this ad in the autotrader for a LHD Corraddo so I thought i'd drive up and take a look....when the guy opened the garage door I was sold!! the car only has 70K...never seen rain or winter...always stored in a heated garage since new..i could only count 3 stone chips on the whole car...no dents or scratches what so ever! i'm not a huge VW fan but the price was right and i've always wanted a Corrado...
-
thanks for the heads up...hopefully it won't be too bad...
-
Hopefully all my parts should be arriving over the next few days... Koni Yellow kit Rear ARB All new bushings and stuff!!....should keep the wife out of my hair this weekend! looking forward to getting all these parts in....i'll be doing a pic by pic install and have it posted soon after.....i'm still worried about losing the ride quality but we'll see how it goes... :D
-
gonna pick up the rear one then...thanks for the info!
-
didn't know the rear bearings were only hand tight....most of the honda/acura's i've worked on had to have the rear bearings torqued down to factory specs or you'd be going through bearings every month!
-
it's your wheel bearing....no doubt about it...always torque down bearings to facory specs with a torque wrench or you'll be replacing bearings often...good luck with it
-
blackvalver...always replace both ball joints together at the same time, no sense in having one new side. every mechanic i took the vr to said i was wasting my money..the ball joints were fine...always bear in mind a cars suspension behaves different with load on it then when it's on a rack...since my camber was off..i knew it could only be a couple of things...and ball joints tend to be the first thing to go..i payed about 80 for parts and labour.. tekara...maybe tire pressure? u might be losing air.....??
-
problem solved! replaced both ball joints last night and vola!! no more pulling to the left!
-
the neuspeed ones seem pricey...over 600 U.S for both!
