I got my Koni SSK kit on order and was thinking of picking up a ARB kit as well. Eibach and H&R seem to be the only two companies doing them for the C, what are peoples recommendations? did u guys get both the front and rear? did it make a big difference on the c? thanks dutch

i've got the same problem at the moment...aligment is fine (done sometime ago though)..tire presuure is fine. but i do notice that the FR wheel seems to be cambered in a little. I'll be doing the ball joints in the next couple of days...hopefully should help.

Another difference between European Corrado and US Corrado
dutch replied to VWci's topic in General Car Chat
alot of differences between North American Corrado's and Europeans ones....headlights..switches..wheels...engine...a few more -
i've bitten the built and ordered the Koni SSK kit....If there here by Friday I'll get them in over the weekend. I'll post the results!!

i think all the new nissan look too similar....in fact all nissans now are built on the same platform.....looks alot like the G35
-
were they available on another car? bmw perhaps?
-
I love the look of BBS RM's and was wondering if anyone knew if there were RM's available in a 5x100 bolt pattern? 16" as well?

My VR has an annoying pull to the left...haven't really looked into it. Planning on swapping out the suspension over the next couple of weeks, i'll go over everything then..
-
lol...yeah i've read that article...wanted to take his daughter to her wedding in it.......
-
lol...and money is always the object!! :D

I only driven in a car with Bilstein struts....great handling but very stiff...i've never tried their coliover kit...just from the coilovers i have tried and driven I find they tend to be on the stiff side...i'll look into the h&r comfort
-
hmmm....i know about the 15 yr rule however RHD drive cars fall under a different set of rules....i could be wrong
-
I do realize that lowering any car with stiffen up the ride...but I'm looking for the least stiff factor...i just can't stand the VR's 4x4 look. and i'm too old now to do the "see bump coming and cringe!" or "see bump coming and swerve like some animal jumped in front of the car"
-
Ok, so here's the deal. I want to lower my VR but i'll be the first to admit it's for cosmetic reasons only!! I'll never put the VR on the track or am I really interested in vastly improving handling. My biggest issue is maintaining ride quality. I tried almost very suspension under the sun on other cars i've owned and i know what I don't want.... First off I'm not going coilovers...i think coilovers are great if your going to auto-x your car but from my experience with coilovers once installed I never touched them again...so not really worth the adjustability factor...I use to auto-x in a Hyundai Scope with coilovers...was great for that but that was it! I know i'm going to go with a suspension kit...springs and struts...but i'm having some issues deciding which ones....i've scoured this forum and done alot of reading and called around as well as talking to a few people and the 2 kits i'm deciding on is the Weitec GT kit or the Koni RSK kit (Koni reds). I've had the Koni Yellow kit on my last MK2 G60 and I was a little stiff for my liking even on the softest setting...I've had Koni reds on my old Acura CL and they were great! Money is not the issue here....it's ride quality i'm after...opinions much appreciated, especially people who have tried or have either of these kits... Here's a list of my previous cars and the suspension i had on them... 91 Honda Civic (GSR motor) Eibach with facory struts..hated the ride quality 93 Hyundai Scoupe..Apex coilovers..great for auto-x..not for street 93 Acura CL...Eibach with Koni reds...very good..but Eibach's tend to be stiff...so Eibach is no longer on my list 91 and 93 Suzuki Swift GT (One Turbo'd, the other on Carbs) Both had Koni yellows..to stiff..so Koni yellows are off my list 93 Nissan Maxima....Eibach and Tokico..very nice ride quality..but big and heavy car so not a good comparison 91 Mazda MX-6 Turbo....Intrax with Tokico...Intrax...never again!! 88 Mazda 323 GTX...rally suspension..2" lift!! lol...lots of fun in the winter and great for amateur rallying...looked like shit! Since coming to the UK: MK2 Golf G60...Koni Yellow kit...to stiff.... and now the VR.... a few others but i'm getting bored.. So it's between Weitec GT or Koni RSK.... Sorry for the loooonnng post thanks d

I'm not quite sure but I think Storm's only came RHD, if that's the case you'll never be able to drive one over in Canada....
-
what??? anyone interested in an interesting thread that interests them? what's wrong with it?? :D
-
I was in LA in June and went to one of their import 1/4 nights.....can't beleive how fast the street cars are running these days.....people were pulling in from the street running 11s 1/4's...the acura/honda scene is nuts over there
-
I know of 6 people personally that went to canada from the Uk and never came back!! I would personally recommend canada just from a quality of lifestyle persective...good luck with it...keep me posted.

service history and its effect on resale values
dutch replied to chrishill's topic in General Car Chat
Don't want to put u off but I went through this recently when buying my VR. If the owner had no record of service I walked away...not saying that all buyers will be this way but just be perpared to knock some off the price for no service history...unless u sell the car to someone who u know or knows the pervious owner... -
North American spec corrados are crap....headlights, engine, interior switches...alot of little differences but make for a big difference over all. I actually brought back a couple a euro spec headlights with me because people over in N.A kill for them...
-
VR....before I left a mechanic plugged in it but nothing was coming up...of course it was runiing fine then....will try it again...
-
same in the U.S....very few good condition ones left....and the expense of importing one into Canada is not worth the expense in my opinion....if it was a Porsche or Ferrari then importing one maybe worth it...but not a corrado
-
Ok, just got back from Toronto the other day and I was hoping the Corrado would have healed but no luck...... I did a full service on the C before I left..plugs,leads,cap and rotor etc and she run good for a few days before it devolped this spudder. Between 1.5 and 3000 rpm it tends to hesitate...i'm thinking fueling problem but not sure... the other thing is the C seems to have an annoying pull to the left and it's getting worse!! any ideas? thanks d
