Bugger. Fixed the sunroof. It now tilts and slides and is flush to the roof but........................ The first time I wound it all the way back my nice shiney freshly painted roof skin got scraped................ Thankfully isnt all the way through to the primer but its visible. Can I just adjust the skin with the bolts that hold it in place so I can drop it a bit so it dosnt catch? or am eternally not meant to have a sunroof that works...............

There seems to be to allen keys holding the mech on for the seat belt adjusters. would I have to undo these? Tim

Have done that and cant get the trim away from the seat belt adjuster. It looks like i could rip it off but then it must be a nightmare to put back together. Any ideas???

Would that be why when I am sliding it back that it stops about half way and I need to let go of the button then press it again?

Alright. I have searched and cant find tis problem. I have butchered 3 sunroofs of all thier best parts as mine had the old wont slide but tilts problem. Rebuilt mine and greased her all up. To day just checked if she would tilt and slide by hand before I fitted her and no problem. Fitted it and put the headlining etc back in and now the bugger slides without tilting aaaaaarrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh Really dont want to have to take it all out again as is a pain in the arse. Could there be something really simple that I have overlooked. Is there any adjustments I can do with it all still in place.. Please help someone as I am really fooked off now

How much did it cost to get welded in and was it a pain to get the old one out? cheers Tim

Well. she is looking pretty poorly at the moment but I am getting there. Have taken off the old mashed bumper. The new rs one is at the spray shop getting preped and painted and should be back by the weekend :D Whilst having the bumper off have cleaned the intercooler and all the metal I can get too. Took the battery out and was horrified. Rusted to buggery. Have cleaned it and hammerited it to try and stop the rust but what is the best solution???? Have refitted the plastic arch trim where it was pushed back against the wheel and thankfully that was the only problem.. :D I had horrible visions of bent metal bits but there isnt really that much under there. And have also rubbed back and hammerited all the front under the bumper and the front slam panal that I can get to. So all in all quite a healthy exercise. Have also rubbed back and hammerited the bumper mounting struts.... Anyhows some piccies 8)

Hi guys, After taking off the old bumper and hammeriting everything in sight I will be ready to fit the RS bumper replacement for my badger damager original......... What is the general concencus. Is it nessesary to refit the duct form the bumper to the intercooler or will there be sufficient cooling. TBH when I have the money she will be getting a fmic in the future anyway and prob an oil cooler where the existin cooler is at the mo..... Cheers Tim
