  1. make sure you get the daft cow to pay. If you wernt female a rant about women driver might ensue. But your wrath and the GF's aint worth it
  2. A few people have said that as i am missing the front footwell plastics, parcel shelf supports and am still to find a good black dash. Is it really easy and does it look any good? am really worried that it will just look like i have sprayed it.
  3. Beware of some muppet previosly spraying the car with them on. Mine came off and went back on in the same day. Got to wait for the respray now
  4. Cheers stan, Unfortunally in that horrible grey colour ive just got rid off. Unfortunally that sat perfect. But im after a all black interior so am going to try out other methods. Worst thing is the reason it dosnt fit so well was probably my fault trying to get it out of a car in the scrap yard before they closed and some other bugger got it for the paltry sum of a £5
  5. Unfortunally mine is too far gone for that. It dosnt even sit straight let alone flush.
  6. I might try and see if i can get some black ones and the use the little screw cover type things that you get with flat pack furniture to hide them.
  7. I was thinking about trying a couple of self tapping screws through it into the tunnel as low as possible at the front.

    Starter button

Sorry to drag this quesion up again but have used the search and cant find the answer i am looking for. Baically my ignoton is up the spout. I have replaced the switch to no avail so rekon it must be a wiring problem. At the mo i have a wire coming from the battery and a wire from the starter motor through the bulkhead that i cross to start the car  . Can i just put a starter button straight to these or do i have to put relays and stuff in as described on oichans website. THe car would still be secure as she only starts at the mo if i turn the key to on and disable the immobliser. Help please. MOT looming :? 8)
  9. electrify the door, That will keep the theiving gypsies out
  10. Just happened to be bored in the local newsagents and saw a copy of this weeks classic car weekly newspaper type thing. There is a 2 page buying guide in the center for our beloved c's. Was quite a good write up helped with some a bloke from TSR. Gave some good hints and even a Forum mention as an online resource. This might of already been posted so ignore me if it already has, but I was glad to see the c being polled as a classic and there was a good (for us) pricing guide in there as well
  11. Cheers fella. Kinda what I was going for on a budget. Would love a set of premier dials but am kinda giong with a dark theme for the car. Betcha I cant see the buggers when the dash illumination is on though
  12. Mucked around with the clocks tonight. Not the best finish but not too bad for a couple of hours work. Took out the dials and masked off wht I wanted to keep. Then sprayed the rest with vw diamond black from halfrauds which has a pearlescent finish too it . Then took off the masking hence the not too great finish and laquered. But on a budget and i quite like em. 8)
  13. I absolutly love that interior. Want want want want.........................................
  14. dont like it in white TBH Agreed would look mean in Black. Being the best colour for a car of course
  15. I am guessing Tempest might well be along soon to answer all your questions. Cant offer much other than you dont tend too see them around much anymore and they are fantastic cars. Great memories of my good ol mum booting around scotland in one.
  16. I just bought a set for the G60 and fitted them and they are exactly the same length. I thought they might be too l,ong so checked and was told that they were right. Kinda worrying as I have a mot in a couple of weeks.
  17. Yup tommorow night at 7pm on BBC2. Just as well cause being the muppet I am i managed to erase the disc I recorded it on before watching it. GF said it was fantastic though!!!!!!
  18. Found these. http://www.oemparts.co.uk/index.php?cPath=8 There are the R32 / TT /Mk4 golf pedal covers on the page. Anyone know if they fit or can easily be made to fit on the C
  19. Vee-dub Where did you get the G3 from. I used the last of my stack that I got from a cabbie who swore by it. Want to get some more as am going to try and do the c before RTTS.
  20. I've used the same stuff with great results but found it better doing by hand than with the polisher. Bit of a back breaker but well worth it.
  21. Looking good and looking forward to seeing her in the flesh ( so to speak in a couple of weeks). EDIT- yet another C I have to park as far away as possible from lol!!!
