  1. So frame rails are clean?? You need one of these: Think about how my daily started: and after cleaning... And do you still have the WHOLE wiring harness from your car? I might wanna make a trade
  2. Schimmel is a good man, but he makes you pay for it! I will send mike an email and get him on here. I haven't been on vortex in a while, I got banned a few times  I just got done building my ECU for standalone... What setup are you doing on your car? C2 might as well be standalone... Chris and Jeff know motronic ECU's like no one else! :notworthy: And Nathan, you might as well stick with OBDII since you did all the work, and your tune seems to be running well. BTW did you ever finish scrubbing the engine bay?
  3. I still think hot pink is where its at for sway bars... I still need to pick up my front one. The rear is sitting in a box @ the shop though. Might go buy a pint of some hideous pink paint at lunch
  4. I wasn't quite sure where this fit, but I am trying to see if anyone has mounted a set of these. here is a pic to give you an idea.
  5. I have been having fun with the polishing stuff.... Even though the coil will get hidden. It needs to look nice, right? :)
  6. McNair deff needs to jump on here. I Meth would be a decent safety net but mostly good for a few more ponies. Mcnair has to be hitting over 400 now on meth :cuckoo:
  7. Lets just use the spare bedroom and do the headliner in there LOL. I will lay down the plastic. Hopefully im sober enough to actually be useful! :D You can always deal with the downtime of smoothing the bay like me :cuckoo: Any plans of doing Meth injection nathan? McNair really needs to get on here. They would LOVE his setup.
  8. Thank you! Im really curious to see where all it was stitched. It looks amazing. And always a great choice in wheels.
  9. Funny how that ends up happening. Plans for this weekend are get the rear hatch in primer :D including shaving the 3rd brake light and the rear wiper hole. Also need to cut the glass out :gag: That should only take a day of solid work, then its onto some more engine bay work and maybe a few other things.
  10. The stamp is under the air box on the frame rail. Every single corrado I have come across has it. Im not even close to on target for paint, but I have been moving stuff in the shop and helping other people the last few weeks. Lets see how much I can accomplish this weekend :cuckoo:
  11. I got rid of my storage unit this weekend and moved all my parts down to the shop:
  12. Interior is beautiful! Do you have any more pictures of the dash? Where the stitches are etc? :notworthy:
  13. No clue, I haven't really set a time frame for myself. I am at least hoping to have the car painted by september. It would be an awesome birthday present to myself... that and going to H20i with a bunch of corrado nuts  Speaking of corrado nuts I spent the evening at JoeyZ's house and flushed the coolant from his car and BSed for a 4 hours. Somehow I walked away with this: :cuckoo: I cleared out my storage unit full of corrado parts earlier today. Interior tidbits, my extra hatch, other door, ETC ETC. Will take some more pics tomorrow when I unload it all at the shop. And I have been searching high and low for pictures of the corrado Jet interiors. I have only seen one picture. Anyone have pics of them? Especially the door panels?
  14. Just thought I would pass some information along and add to it abit. need_a_VR6 on vortex has gotten a few of these running. I myself am about to setup one for a friend and also one for myself. (if anyone local to me wants one built or help with wiring LMK) Here are the details for wiring directly into an old ECU connector or just hacking apart the wiring at the end of an ECU on a VR6 MS wiring to motronic.pdf[/attachment:2vhhg2p1] Here is the circuit info: MS1 V3 MSnS-E 029t Board mods/hardware: VRIN - TSEL TSEL - VROUT INV D14 with pullup to IGN (no VB) Both VR pots fully CCW Launch Circuit Tach Circuit Works with 4.7k pullup TIP120 for PWM idle valve with 1N4001 flyback diode between output and 12v Remove Q4, Q20 and R39. replace R39 with a wired link or solder the (E) emittor to the right side of position R39 rather than at the Q4 position. Innovate LC1 wideband to stock narrowband O2 pigtail. Tach circuit uses a 4.7k pullup to 12v, the ignition mod uses a 1k pullup to 5v. ------------------------- Currently I am still looking for information on how to use the stock coilpack without removing the ICM. I should have that figured out shortly. You can use a wasted spark setup with 3 VB921 or BIP drivers. Just wire directly to the coils instead of the ICM. ------------------------- also here is Pauls MSQ he posted on vwvortex: http://www.msruns.com/download.php?id=5661
  15. So with the acoustical diffusers does it create a sealed enclosure for the speaker or are they mounted more on the door skin?
  16. I love the new daily. I can't wait to the turbo setup finished on the Corrado though!
  17. Spent a little bit of time at the shop on Saturday and made a template then cut some sheet metal into shape :) I found some other goodies in storage yesterday too. And I started polishing some engine bits. (even though it will be hidden)
  18. I see it as a cause of a boost leak. In the couple of VRT cars I have tuned the ISV was always causing issues. Pulled it and it ran great. The car will idle just fine and you can use the idle set screw on the TB to adjust the idle. I know a few other people that have come across the same thing I have also.
  19. Looks really good, but I would ditch the idle valve personally.
  20. And I have been building my ECU for the car. What fun is a stock ECU anyways  I feel like I am turning into Lee... everything must be shinny :luvlove:
  21. Almost forgot about the 93 bumpers... and the fun shaving the side markers... Exhaust cutout on the rear is next
  22. Oh, and I got some new goodies to help me work on the car and that go on the car . Thanks to JoeyZ for some of these little bits. We got bored in the shop one night and made some changes to my brand new welding hood :cuckoo:
  23. One thing kinda led to another and I got carried away with the grinder and welder. As of right now I am really not happy with how just filling those holes is coming out, so I have another plan I will start on this weekend. think SMOOTH
  24. I haven't been on here in a couple of months... I got the car moved out of storage and moved into our new shop :D The g60 lump came out of the car the night we got up there and I cleaned up the bay a bit before really getting dirty  So funny thing about all that wiring, and all of the goodies that were in the engine bay..... It all looked a bit out of place being in there...
