  1. Hi guys, Decided its time to sell my track car as it just isn't getting used enough. See ebay ad... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171793143678 Drop me a PM or give me a call if any questions. Cheers, Mark
  2. Excellent, thanks Sam. I haven't used them before, it looks like a really good site. For anyone thats interested the site is http://www.g-laderseite.de/
  3. Excellent nice one. Kluber grease was the one I was thinking of. Think I will get on German ebay
  4. Hello, I am about to rebuild my charger and just had a couple of quick questions... What type of grease should I use to clean the internal parts? I want to be careful I don't use anything too abrasive. I was also wondering if you need to use a gasket sealant when you put it back together or if the seals will be enough? If there are any particular products that you could recommend to aid any part of the clean/rebuild process it would be appreciated. Cheers
  5. I would definitely recommend him highly. He originally quoted me £35 for each of the dents on the rear wings (They were the worst) and I asked him to do the other dents while he was there and he only charged me an extra tenner. Most other Paintless dent removal companies I have seen on the web prices start from £75 per panel. If you call him tell him Mark in Banstead recommended you.
  6. I haven't been on here for a while because I have had my corrado off the road for a little bit. One of the reasons was because in the space of 2 weeks I got 2 dents, one on each rear wing from idiots opening their doors in car parks. A little frustrating considering the car was only painted a year before hand! I got so fed up I decided to buy a £500 runaround and have been using it ever since (surprisingly- I have really enjoyed driving a car about I don't care about). Anyway a couple of weeks ago I decided to visit a friend in Scotland and thought it would be a good opportunity to give the Rado a good run. I really can't tell you how nice it was to drive on the Highland roads, the Rado really came alive! So I got back from Scotland and decided to get these dents sorted out. The dents were pretty much in the same spot on both rear wings, right on the line that runs down the car, so looked like it would be impossible to pull them out without new paint. I went to a couple of bodyshops and the cheapest I was quoted was £300 just to get 1 side sorted out! So I started investigating paintless dent removal... 2 days later a guy called Richard came to my house and removed; both dents on the rear wings, a small dent from a stone or something off one of the front wings, and also a small dent on the roof from a bird sh!t. All 4 dents for £80 and the work completed in under an hour! He has done a brilliant job, you really wouldn't know a dent was there before hand. The only evidence that is left is the tiniest of chips where the door hit but you have to get close to see it. Just thought I would come on and let you guys know in case you have dents you want removed. He is really nice guy based in Tolworth, Surrey. He said he has been doing it for over 10 years and does lots of work for Romans in Banstead and Joe Macari in Wandsworth which is a testiment to his skills considering the cars they sell. His number is 07961680512.
  7. Just had a quick look through the wiki article and realised it says to take the seat out, did any of you bother doing this?
  8. OK then I will have another go at it later in the week. Is it a phillips screwdriver? Did you bend the screwdriver at all?
  9. Hi, I know there have been a few other threads on this but I am having a bloody nightmare getting the little screw out that holds the switch in place. Anyone have any tips?
  10. could be interested. How much would we be looking at?

    Number plates

I used fancyplates before. Very pleased with them they were delivered pretty quickly and as you said not a bad price!
  12. Received mine this morning. Looks extremely high quality. Thanks mtc R32, for sorting this out!
  13. Try brentacre or Adrian Flux. I don't really understand why you are having a problem with your insurance though. If she reversed into you then it is her fault which means you shouldn't lose your no claims. Oh and next time you take out insurance, pay the extra £50 and protect your no claims bonus, then you won't have to go through this hassle again.
  14. I think it depends on how bad the scratches are. If it has actually ripped or gone through the leather then you will have to put a patch on it. Just found this repair kit...... http://www.leatherrepairkits.com/happy_customers.htm Another couple of tips.... To repair a snag in leather, you can use clear nail polish to smooth the snag into place against the leather. Do not use clear nail polish to repair snags on suede. To remove small scratches or cracks, apply leather conditioner (available at hardware, upholstery, auto supply and saddlery stores). Leather conditioner makes leather smooth and supple and can remove imperfections due to dryness. If leather conditioner doesn't remove a scratch, try using a shoe polish that matches the leather color. Always test in an inconspicuous spot beforehand.
  15. If I remember correctly H8RRA mentioned on another thread that he is good with the sunroof and he is in NE. I think he said the going rate is about £120 supplied and fitted for a new mech. I wish I could find somewhere that cheap down here to fix my roof!!!
  16. There was an identical post last week. GPC are the cheapest place.
  17. It's still not exactly cheap for a bit of rubber, but compared to VW prices (£45 a side) its a bargain!!
  18. VAG parts (http://www.vagparts.com) in Swindon and GPC (http://www.gpcvwaudi.com) in Luton are both very good on price.

    15" RH cups

Does anyone know if these fit over g60 brakes ok?
  20. £120 supplied and fitted doesn't sound bad at all. Shame I am so far away. Anyone around London that wants to do this for me?
  21. I know it's french but the citroen c3 pluriel is a proper girls car. Not sure what price they are going for though. Failing that if you just want a small car get a Seat Ibiza, can't beat them on value for money (and it's a vw). For 4500 you should be able to get an an 03 or 04 plate.
  22. yes mate used to work in a bodyshop when I was at school. Your words before.... I can understand them wanting to do the whole panel because you don't have to blend with anything, but fading it in to the next panel is just being soft. Sounds to me like your saying that most jobs can be done locally from that statement!
  23. They have little machines that measure light levels. They will check it outside the car to get actual light levels, and then get in the car and check how much light comes through the window.
  24. somehow i can't see them managing to just take the clearcoat off without damaging the base coat...........if that was the case then instead of them re-painting a panel or car if the laquer is lifting which happens eventually they'd only have to re-laquer No I didn't mean they take the whole clearcoat layer off, just a few microns or whatever to expose fresh stuff. What I meant was that the basecoat can't deteriorate or loose its colour because it's protected by the clearcoat. Any dulling or haze is superficial in the top surface of the clearcoat.[/quote:c886f] Mate you really are talking sh1t! Obviously there are some repairs that won't need full blending but the majority of the time it will, otherwise it is nothing but a patch up bodge job.
