  1. cheers guys think I will go for the OEM one, don't fancy spending £120 for a VT.
  2. I am getting koni TA's and H&R's at the end of the month. Can anyone tell me if there is any great advantage in using the solid front mount over the OEM one? The reason I ask is my mate who works for vw said he could get me an OEM for £30 so I was thinkin I might just go for that and save myself £40.
  3. Is it worth gettting the other 2 done at the same time even though they seem ok? Anyone know of the cheapest place to get them?
  4. Hi Guys, The front engine mount has gone in my g60. Would you recommend replacing with OEM part or is there something better I can use? I am sure I have read about this somewhere before but could not find it when I used the search section. Cheers, Mark

    Full respray?

Had mine done at a place near Walton on Thames. A friend of a friend ;) the pics in my profile were from about 6 months ago. I was happy with it. Its a bit hard to quote prices because I had it done at the same time as fixing a big dent in my door (well actually new door in the end). But lets put it this way, the ammount my insurance company gave me to get the door fixed almost covered the cost of the whole spray. Its nice to get a result for a change!
  6. Personally I wouldn't make a g60 4wd. Seems like a waste of time and money. Maybe there are a couple, but I can't imagine there being too many g60's out there running at 300bhp! If you were changing the lump or putting a SC on vr6 then yeah I can see the point, but not when your keeping the bhp around the 200 mark. The front wheels can handle it fine IMO
  7. Lovely dark blue storm at top of Sutton one way system. Today at about 4pm. Reg something like n222 guy?! Didn't get a good look, as it came past me as I was walking out of work, but looked very tidy

    Alarm problems

no still haven't seen him. He is coming down on the weekend. I will let you know the outcome!
  10. Hi, I'm going to get a supersprint system and have been trying to decide what to do about the centre section. Supersprint have 2 options, either a centre box or a straight pipe. I know that just having the pipe will make it sound louder but what I want to know is if there is any difference in performance? If the pipe allows better flow then I don't mind the extra noise. The centre pipe is also £100 cheaper so if there is no difference in performance I would prefer to get this. Let me know your thoughts!

    Alarm problems

Thanks guys, It has got an ultrasonic sensor on it but the sensitivity is turned right down. When the alarm goes off and I disarm it, it flashes a certain number of times to tell me what caused it. The number of flashes indicates that it is the ignition!? What is also strange is that when the fan kicks in and I try to arm the alarm it won't arm, this is exactly what happens if the key is in the ignition and I press the button. I have had the guy out 3 times to look at it now and I am going to see him again tommorrow. Last time he said that it could be something wrong with the cars ignition? Any ideas? I would just rip the alarm out but I havn't got the money to buy another 1 and I have also had audi door handles put on without locks so I need keyless entry. Unless that is if I start climbing in through the boot!! :-)
  12. Hello all, I have been having an absolute nightmare with an alarm I had fitted by GAP security. It is a avital maxx 1 which I know is rubbish but 1 of my friends bought it for me thinking it was a clfford, so I couldn't say no! What happens is after I switch the car off a fan kicks in about 10 minutes later. This fan seems to be feeding back to the ignition switch because as soon as it kicks in the alarm goes off. The diagnostics on the alarm unit say that it is the ignition switch that is causing the alam to go off. I am out of ideas, the guy tried to isolate the ignition switch so it wouldn't feed back to it but it has made no difference. If anyone has experienced a similar problem, or has some ideas on how to fix it please let me know because it is driving me and all my neighbours mad!!! Many thanks
