think thats when i fried my clutch! an yeah mk2 is pretty tidy couple of small bits need tidying up but a good base for me to use an audi is still goin good mate think the clutch is starting to slip a bit though but ive been told its not too bad a job would love to hear your reasons :lol: looks a good condition mk2 though, white is the colour which is doing it for me to at the min!! basically just cos its not clean enough for me would need a full respray for me to be happy an id rather put that money elsewhere plus ive just got a thing for mk2's just feel more raw than a corrado god knows what it will be like with thw 20v lump in!

right update of what im upto ive been waiting for ages an keeping tight lipped until i got it but got another corrado couple of wkds ago some of you may recognise it its john from brentacres old 16vg60 shell minus engine suspension brakes and front seats but now after getting it without actually seeing the car in person as it was in swansea ive decided im not going to use it as its not what i was looking for an have now gone back to the plan of puttin my running gear into a mk2 which i got on saturday i know most of you will think im mad but i have my reasons, the corrado will be going up for sale at some point as its taking up room :cuckoo: neil

ouch thats not good :( i had my corrado bashed into by a wagon a couple of months ago its sad when you have put time and effort not to mention money into the car for some fool to then wreck it for you :bad-words: but like others have said at least your alright as it could have been a lot worse i know you will be sick of hearing this but its true i hope stuff works out for you whatever happens neil.

reet the corrado has been in my folks garage since the accident ive stripped the interior then last nite it got taken to the garage where im gonna help/ do as much as i can an learn a bit! whilst we swap all the bits into my new car which is being collected on sat i cant wait to get started! ive already bought a quaife diff to go in the box whilst the engine is out and a qpeng downpipe to replace the fetteled doner one thats on at the min whilst at my folks they gave me these pics which are the only half decent ones i have of how the car looked on the bbs sad that its gone still but looking forward to gettin my hands dirty on the new car which ill post up pics of when i get it neil.

well they coughed up 6k for the car but minimum i could get them to sell it back to me for was 1750 not ideal but the engineer didnt want to shift and i want to get back on the road again so i took it as for marcus's car its not the car for me especially after taking delivery of my one made me realise time to move on onto something else, as ive said before probs a mk2 an gonna attempt to do the swap my self and maybe fit a few upgrades along the way :nuts: cheers neil.

yeah its a pretty good offer i was glad as was expecting them to try offer silly low at first i dont have an agreed value policy but all the parts were declared and it was insured through brentacre the engineer said it would be 6k plus 30% min but like you say think im gonna say im happy with the 6k but dont wanna pay 30% try get what i can out of them still nothing compared to what ive spent :( but i know id never get that back even if this didnt happen and i know its the whole car as its at my mates work and he wouldnt let anybody take anything off it

had the lorry drivers insurance engineer on the phone today made me an offer of 6k for my car plus the chance to buy it back for a min of 30% of the payout as said they know its worth quite a bit as salvage what do you guys think?? neil.

thats it though ive looked and cant even find any 20v corrados for sale let alone any like mine so dunno whats gonna happen and ive not ended up claiming through brentacre my mate at the bodyshop put me onto accident exchange who handle non fault claims so ive not had to pay my huge excess got a courtesy car straight away plus they know there engineer so should hopefully help out getting a fairer price neil.

ha ha its neil i just have a daft username you should know ive met you a few times! :lol: an as for insurance not on a agreed policy as with brentacre and they dont do that, my policy runs out on the 24th and think i was gonna change to hic so it would be covered too late now though :mad2: driver was a knob didnt even come to see if me and the lady i bumped into were ok just stood other side of the junction taking pics on his phone!! an the cars safe at the bodyshop where my mate works looking very sorry for itself!!

think most bits wil go on my next motor probs a mk2 golf but undecided yet and when it comes to that and im stripping the car there will be a thread for bits etc but its early stages at the min and ive been to hospital already my last car got taken out on the m way when someone ran into the back(hope my next car doesnt meet the same fate!) and i had whiplash then so i know the crack all mods were declared too so hopefully all that will be taken into account

cheers for all your comments people my necks quite sore now the impact actually twisted my seat! been drowning my sorrows all wkd as for gettin the car repaired i dont think thats gonna happen as well as the front and rear damage its damaged one of the rear quarters so will def be an insurance right off and i dont think it would be the same :( unsure as to what im gonna do next need to wait and see how much or how little i get! dont know if the bits of it will be goin on another rado i fancy a change plus even if i swapped bits to another rado it would never be this one :( neil.

well yesterday morning went to turn left at a set of traffic lights the traffic was backed up so i stopped, truck behind me goin straight on plowed into the back of me shunted me into the car in front then spun me round in the road! ive walked away with whiplash but me car is fooked!! to say im gutted is an understatement!

bjv did my borbets fella took a while with them but did a good job and did them cheap for the delay neil.

i can vouch for psi tuning they did my conversion an service my car but it is a fair trek someone i know has set up on there own after working for vw for a lot of years his garage is near milnthorpe so not too far for you to travel and he knows his stuff i trust him with my car and i dont trust many! he built this mk1 pm me if you want his mob no neil.

it runs a lot lower to the ground on its 15" winter wheels so im not too worried about the clearance and must have just been where i parked as its level normally as the judge said 7.5 and 8.5 x17 and he was correct in saying the adapters were from concept not cheap sure they were 300 euros i think it makes the car look more grown up than with the borbets on which i think im going to have to sell at some point as think im turning into a wheel whore!! yeah i know the pics aint the best, wheels aint on the car any more though due to the crap weather so will get some decent ones when i get them back on and cheers for all the good comments folks

got my new rims there bbs 2 piece splits of a bmw328 sport waited ages for adapters to come from belgium then when they turned up the rears needed the centre bore enlarging as it was too small! got there in the end though this is how they look not messed with the ride height yet its still set for my winter rims an borbets, what do you think? i like them but the gf keeps saying she prefers the borbets but im sure she said she didnt like them at first :cuckoo: oh and excuse the picture quality just taken on my phone neil.

cheers for the nice comments and simon the adapters were meant to be vw fitment centre bore 57.1mm which two of them were but the 25mm ones came with a 56.5mm centre bore so wouldnt fit they took ages to arrive and came from belgium so i couldnt be arsed trying to send them back luckily my mate has access to a lathe so he sorted them :D id just make sure you make it clear when ordering the adapters that you want the centre bore to be 57.1mm neil

sorry took so long to get these up the adapters didnt turn up when i expected, then when they did the 25mm ones for the rear had the wrong centre bore so i had to get them sorted out not amused as they cost a lot of money! i am gonna keep the adapters as i like the look of the wheels so sorry if you were waiting to see if i would sell the rears on mine with the 25mm adapters are spot on with the work ive had done to the arch i reckon i could have easily got away with 25mm instead of 20mm up front as well but im quite liking the slight tuck on the front and poke on the rear neil.

i have a set of adapters coming in the sizes you are thinking of ordering so i can fit some 7.5x17 fronts and 8.5x17 rears to my c (also bmw fitment but et 41 offset) and my car usually runs 9x16 alround with some arch work so i can run it low, they should hopefully be here by the wkd and am going to trial fit them so ill stick some pics up for you if i dont like the look of the wheels on the car though i may sell the adapters on and if your getting yours from concept you will know how expensive they are, i could save you some time and money like i say though i need to see the wheels on the car first so sorry if i get your hopes up for nothing! neil.
