5.5k since last feb, few trips to wales has built this up, daily driver is a mk2 16v. Duncanthemad - where do you work in Sutton then as I work in Sutton(Surrey) as well.

Gavin/Steve - thanks for the advice I'll let you know how I get on after it's been looked at by G-Werks...... Yeah the 170 was at the crank,think there s/be more to come if its set up right surely....... Suspect a few of the vacum hoses could do with replacing, I know when I replaced the fpr one that it was crumbling! No reasong to believe the others are any better I suppose. Cheers

thanks all,few things to think about like the length of the ecu vacum etc,etc.....next step to get it down to G-werks/Pit Stop. Sent Darren a pm so hopefully he will get in touch. Cheers

Stevemac - no im running an off the shelf Jabba chip that was fitted with the pulley so the car could be as much as 10-30 bhp down considering the jetex exhaust,de-cat,K&N,Giro valve and fpr?

thanks.......cambelt was replaced when I first got the car but just had it rolling roaded and it only made 170 bhp with a hesitant power line,boost level was said to be just over 10 psi at peak (bearing in mind the charger is stg4 with 68mm pully). Austec racing changed the timing but this took ages as the dist. was stuck fast.......did not have time to check the cam belt but suggested this could be the cause. He said if there was a big boost leak he should have been able to hear it on the rolling road? Wanna take the car to a specialist like G-Werks or Pit Stop to check the charger system for boost leaks and more importantly the cam timing b 4 taking it back on the rolling road. Wont surprise me if the cam belt timing is a couple of teeth out as it was dome by Jabba.... Interestingly Austec suggested get their mapped chip to erradicate the hesitant / very un smoth power delivery - may well get this done.

Can cambelt timing effect peak boost? What symptons are there if the cam timing's a cog or two out?

been wanting to see these on a dark car as Ive been thinking of buying either these or the Intpro smoked for my black Corrado..........was not sure the un-smoked would suit a dark car but I was wrong....they look really good ! What would I ask for if I order them......red/silver or red/white or do they only do one type?

was behind one of these in my wifes 16v mk2 on a long strech at the start of a dual carriageway and the thing just took off and kept going.........shat all over me,knew they are supposed to be quick but this thing was like a rabbit ! Suspect they dont have the torque of the VR6 but get them up in the revs and I would have thought they would beat the C...........got a silly gearchange on the dash though so looses a few points for that surely! -
std suspension should be great unless parts are worn or your aftermarket exhaust is banging? Went in a Corrado with 220bhp with std shocks & eibach shortened springs.......it was hard and rattled....put me right off lowering,do the coilovers make the corrado rattle & squek on the interior?

think im right in saying people use the Porsche 944 Turbo 3.5 bar fpr........about 45 quid,Banaman on this forum would be able to get you one if you ask him nicely.........

cheers - thought it must be pretty easy as the Garage only qouted £25 labour...........so put the jack on the 'edge of the bottom of the engine where the sump bolts on' ? Is that right ?

Point taken - I would have 'supported' the engine on its edge but may be I should leave it for the garage to do when they change over my disks/pads on monday......

Does it hesitate before it goes off like a scalded cat or whilst accelarating hard ?

Got my engine mount through the post,cars booked in to have it fitted and other stuff on monday but if its easy I may do it myself at the w/end and save a few quid.............. Is it just a matter of locating it at the front of the engine and unscrewing a couple of bolts whilst the engine is held in place with a car jack ? Im guessing but this would seem logical ? Anyone replaced one before ? Is it that striaghtforward or is it hard to get to ? Cheers

got my g60 booked in for monday, gonna buy std vag disks and pads £112 all in inv the vat, same sort of price as the Zimmerman (c/d) which I was thinking about but came round to thinking cant de much better for the price than std really?

Got my car booked in for front discs/pads (opted for vw), front engine mount ,diagnostic check (sensors) and timing on monday so then I can get it rolling roaded at long last - just added a fse and giro valve so want to get it all gelled with the other mods......id like to see 190bhp...... Anyway there's a rolling road in Gatwick somewhere.....does any one know the name so I can get my car booked in for the saturday morning after.....alternatively any other rr's that people can suggest as having worked with G60's ? Cheers

I understand the FK's are cheaper than the Intpros (£270), but after looking at Awesome's site and an email to them it does not seem like they sell the Corrado ones - even though they seem to stock the rest of the vw range? Anyone know how much they are and where you can get them from? Did buy a set of orig. G60 lights to tint but dont think I'll be able to get the finish i want (already had i go and messed it up!) Torn between the smoked and red/white but I think my black Corrado will suit the smoked more?
