  1. think im right in saying you only need one if youre idle stabilisation valve (isv) is leaky......not sure how you tell if its leaky though so im not being much help im afraid!
  2. one way valve - thats the name of it or giro valve, all the stockists will know what you r talking about. Try http://www.ridgewayracing.com/G.html for a comparison on price..........
  3. G60bv - got it riding on coilovers yet mate?
  4. almost finished the install, fitted the tweeters last night on brackets so ive just got to connect up the amps in the boot.... have not looked yet but anyone recommend a decent ground point in the boot using an existing hole/screw? Thing im worried about is there are so many rca's (3) and general wires at the Eq that I think i might get interferance from them being up against the fuse block on the underside of the sterring wheel to the right? Guess I'll have to try it and see! Left all the factory speaker wires/connectors in place and ran new ofc cables to the doors etc - easier than i thought, just need to be in a patient frame of mind and not rush. Must say the Corrado's are screwed together really well, everything's gone back into place really well - door cards etc and there are no wires whatso ever showing so it looks like the factory speakers until you look in the boot.
  5. Just hope its the rim only, could do with going wider...........a whole wheels gonna be a pain to source.........
  6. Coming home all nice and relaxed after a game of squash driving slowly and bang, drove done a *loody great hole in the road.Got home and saw the damage on my wheel! Ouch! anyone got experiance trying to claim off councils for damage? Do you reckon the rim will bend out or a new rim reqd.guessing there's no damage on the inside but will check in the morning? Gonna get onto Reigate and Banstead Council by phone and email through the pictures I went back and took!
  7. D-boy, what psi is youre charger making and when was it last rebuilt,to what stage and by who? Be really interest in knowing mate Cheers
  8. Thats what I kinda thought, with the tilt mechanism youd have not chance. Makes the install easier as well. So power and remote turn on's (feeds) down the middle and speaker wire for the components down the passenger side,am I gonna be able to run RCA from graphic to amps in the boot down the drivers side or will the main loom interfere because power is running down it or because of space issues? Thanks for your help
  9. Beavis - before I visited G-Man my car was running pretty crap, down on performance etc...........cant recommend them enough, cheap as well ! Make sure you get decent instructions on how to find em' and look out for the wooden drive way gate up the drive on the left.....lol
  10. got the following Pioneer DEHP835R Alpine MRV250 V amp (2*50 RMS) Kenwood WRC 8" active tube Kenwood graphic with sub power/freq. Focal 5.25" Mistral components I want to mount the graphic in the shelf to the right and below the steering wheel. Amp ideally under the passenger seat Run new cable from the amp to the components Drawn the map out on paper and Im not sure of the following :- If the amp will fit under the passenger seat and allow the seat to still tilt? Amp/tube/ power and headunit feed up battery side of car - ok RCA from graphic up drivers side of car to centre - splitters then over to amp and continue up drivers side to tube in boot. I need to run better cable from the amp to the doors? Should I try and do this down the centre console or back past the rca cables on the drivers side? Also can i buy a capacitor that will cut the rear standard 4*6 speakers so no bass comes through or should i just disconnect? Should I line the front doors opp. the mid range with dynamat or is this not needed? The installer near me who seems to know his stuff quoted £160 (4 hrs) for the install, little tempted to bit the bullet and get him to install although I hate the idea of some bloke pulling me door panels and or sorts off!! Dont want any rattles etc and if I do it myself I know whats been done! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Cant imagine the weight will decrease performance much?? Cheers
  11. Been under cover with HIC for almost twelve months, done me a great deal last Feb but got the renewal through and its details Corrado 16v!!!!!! Ive got a G60 and got on the phone to them straight away, last years certificate just stated Corrado 1781cc,anyway they have amened the remaining weeks on this years policy and insured me on a G60 at the same price as they offered the renewal on a 16v for but the bloke who took the business last year for HIC was obviosly just changing the policy to get me to take the insurance....with out a doubt i tol him about it being a G60 and having a chip'n pulley etc Gotta be so careful with Insurance..................
  12. take it from me...............you will need good directions! LOL G-Man & PitStops certainly know there stuff, would not hesitate to use them again.
  13. G-Man, lol.......................only kidding
  14. Gotta be the Supra twin turbo imo. Always the minefield of buying an import though unless you can find a uk car within your budget. None of the other cars can come close to the performance these things have in standard trim....
  15. i was guessing when i said c rating
  16. Nice cars but the Gti-6 looks far too simalar to the rest of the 306's, dont rate there build quality - ok for a few years then I suspect rattles and all emerge. Supposed to be nice to drive with the 6 speed and all. The Rallye looks even more plain, especially the white ones with the three clour sticker emblem on the side - even more of a drivers car than the GTi-6 though Ive heard. Not the same class of car as the Corrado - Corrado's not a hot hatch and it was never marketed that way by vw. I find Saxo's great entertainment on the road - saw an orange and black one the other day, wife & I had a right laugh.......Cant get over how some people spend a fortune on bodykits and turn a perfectly nice looking car into a heap! when Saxo's fall out of favour there gonna be worth about 2p Just mo
  17. Sounds pretty good to me, check http://www.gsfcarparts.co.uk for a comparison
  18. Have not installed audio for a while, if I remember right the power line fused in the engine bay from battery goes up the same side as the feed to turn the amp on from the head unit and the RCA cable up the other side, negative attached to a suitable point in the boot with the paint cleaned from around the earth point. Sound a bout right ? Cheers
  19. snowing in croydon again!
  20. thats bad news. Specially if you live in Wisbech as I can see the rating going from C to F
