Phat, wife works in london.......lots of traffic on the way to work and the car overheated.............the fan is on the car for a reason otherwise it would not be there? spoke to GSF and I need to cut the car connector and put spade terminals on to mate up with the 2 of the 3 prongs on the fan motor.

Beavis, 38 + vat - its only on the wifes 16v so the price swings it towards the cheap GSF one!

just been working on it.............got the wrong part, think gsf have given me a 100w two speed motor, need a single speed motor as the 2 speed has three prongs on the connection and I only have two ! Apart from that its very easy to take off

Wifes car has broken down at work, AA has been out and said its the fan motor. GSF has got the part in stock nr wifes work, thinking of taking the pm off work to go and pick the part up and replace at wifes work. Is it just a matter of unscrewing the metal blade shroud from the radiator and putting the new assembly in then fitting back on? Is it that easy ? Help would be appreciated...........Mk2 16v by the way, guessing it must be the same as a Corrado though. Cheers

randal 24, that noise from the glovebox area........have you tried tightning the bolts that hold the dashboard on......located on the engine side of the bulkhead,ones around the ECU if i remember right.......put your hand in there and feel for it.

Think you must have a 'bad' Corrado.........our MK11 16v golf is like a go-cart and great fun to drive but the Corrado is so much more refined........soon as you sit in the Corrado you notice the diff. to the upright seating position of the Golf - better built as well as far as im concerned............... TBH should not really be comparing the MK11 with the Corrado anyway, Corrado is a sweet cruiser, Golf is a hot hatch.....put them on the motorway at speed and listen to the diff. in wind noise...... Just my 2p worth.........

Hi, a mate very kindly knocked me up a headlight loom and am now wondering which bulbs I should buy to show the new brightness off even more - higher than legal normal bulbs,xenon whites or blues? Any one got any suggestions and even pictures of the diff. effects ? Cheers

kwwloon, that was the cleanest best Corrado ive seen........the only one i took pics of for that matter. Lovely understated mods...........the silver,RS's and black leather go together really well. The corrado with the TT dash was a great job as well, looked stock even from looking in the front screen.........

a number of Insurance companies may give you an 'introductory' discount similar to your no-claims on your other vehicle.....depends who your with and if they want your business......... Herts are pretty good but it depends who you currently insure with at the moment really as you wont want to cancel half way through the year

Henny - are they too wide for a 3 door golf ? Dont understand why 5 dr Passat seats wont fit into a 3 dr Mk11 if they fit into the 5 dr Mk11 Golf?

i know they have been selling vw's for a year or so now, tend to have some nice ones come up as well, cant imagine they would be the way to go with charger re-builds though...........as above says G-Werks has rave reviews!

some history is better than none but Id be trying to phone the last owner and do a hpi check as well........... End of the day the condition is all important with older cars not the mileage or history, but without the history you really need to know what your looking at on the car to establish how well its been looked after!
