    water level is fine,valve things? How do i get to them then PhatVr6?
  2. If you run out of water and over heat then it will more than likely be the head gasket - when the head gasket is bad then you will only make it a few miles down the road at a time!

    when you first start the car up and have driven a little way the blower is nice and warm but when the temp gauge gets up to half way and beyond the heater blows cold? If its the thermostat id expect it to be cold all the time not change when the car warms up? Also the cars not overheating either? Any ideas folks Cheers

    when i had my motorbike I bought 'fake' suede, it looked real and cost about £20 sq metre which is a fair bit of material - they did the whole range of colours as well. Bought it from a re-upholsterers - try looking in the yellow pages and having a chat with your nearest.
  6. mate, imo if you only have a budget of 2k then Id find a decent Mk11 16v - loads quicker,cheaper to insure and you'll find one with a few mods already carried out which will save you money. 2k should get you a h or j plate with around 100k - still take a while to find a good one though. Seems like youre set on a Corrado though so fair enough - just mo

    if your cars had a door skin welded on at any stage then the frame may sit slightly out leading to water entering through the seals on the top of the door,should have a wet rear well if this is the case - happened to my 16v mk 2 and only when it poured,fixed it by putting a couple of pencils between the rubber seal and the door frame - bit of a bodge but seemed to work and at least I know when a pencil is if i need to write!! just a thought...............

  12. my wifes mk2 16v is fantastic, very quick and lovely revvy engine,suspect its the same in the corrado but the impact must be a little dulled with the extra weight - Id love to try out a 16v G60 with the right gearbox - that would really fly. 160-170bhp in a valver is expensive to acheive,think that may be why G60's are popular - cheap to increase the power upto 170-190bhp......

  14. they look really good, spraying a set at the moment........think I may have to add a coat of clear lacquer to get that shine though as mine are a little dull ? Lacquer should work I reckon? any ideas as Im gonna buy some at lunch
  15. think this would normally 'bolt on' to your existing policy, Ive added another car for a month onto my admiral policy before.......dont think you could get 1 week insurance if you dont currently have a live policy......be well expensive if you could! Might be wrong though

  22. After reading VR6's 'buying guide' I checked the boost at idle on my G60,it read 530 (checked it twice), this indicates a boost leak according to VR6's thread. How can I check for a leak - soapy water ? I cant seem to get anywhere near the pipes leading to/from the i/cooler - I dont really want to take the bumper off but is this the only way to check them? The charger was rebuilt @ Jabba 4k miles ago to Stg4 with Chip n'pulley but when I checked the max boost at redline 3rd/4th it came out at 1792 which seems a little low as well? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks
  23. The lambda probe on my 91 G60 was screwed into the cat,garage had to make a hole in the custom pipe and cut out the thread from the cat and weld over the hole on the new replacement pipe. I thought it was after 1992 that cars needed cat's but I may be wrong?
