  1. Everyone's up north. Is there anyone in sunny Essex?
  2. I'm off to the stealers this afternoon to drop off my car for the annual check up. It's been modded since the last visit so it'll be interesting to see what my mechanic says. Not looking forward to the bill though. Last service was a (normal) service with plugs and cost over £250. Expecting the same again. Mines got 95k on it though.
  3. It's how I got the name. Many a night in Romford back in the day of course. Just sorta stuck with me since then. Gone straight now. (In case she sees this).
  4. I'm from sunny ESSEX. Dagenham or NARMM as we like to call it. BALLY whereabouts in Essex are ya???
  5. Looks well put together. Not my taste either but well done. Where did you get the upper rear spoiler from and how much. Looks v.good. Steve.

Not that bad actually. Expected it to be more. Looks good. You'll have to post up the finished article for us to have a nose.

Is it loadsa hassle to fit and roughly how much if ya don't mind. I'm thinking of fiat punto headlights at the moment just looking into costing.
  8. I've got one of the new Alpine headunits. I can adjust the time correction croosover and the parametric EQ online. Should make the basics alot easier. Then I'll have to fine tune them by ear of course. I've got MB Quart component set at the mo, I'll try them and see what happens before I buy anything else. Got the matching amps as well for front and sub to sort as well.
  9. That's where I have mine at the mo. I'm thinking of replacing them with 4" 2 way mids and putting 6" midbass in the doors. I'm not a fan of 6x9's. Don't like the sound stage behind me. I've got some 4x6's in the rear quarters for rear fill. In case I get a passenger. What do think about 4" 2way & 6" midbass combo?
  10. 95500 on my 93 VR. Bought with about 85000 just over 2 yrs ago.
  11. just over 2 yrs for me. Still addicted to the VR6 power. 8)
  12. Congrats on taking the big step, hope it sells soon. Get the VR6, you know you want to.   Steve
  13. Is that the 24th of this month. If so whereabouts? I'm not a ccgb member but I have my C-Forum stickers. Would like to look out for the gold saxo and put a few faces to names if poss.
  14. I've got the creamy smooth vr6 for company as some bastids had my MD player away. Will be fitting my shiny new CD/MP3/WMA/CDR/CDRW, probably more but can't remember alpine H/U soon. Then it's Lucy Pearl wiv some Snoop and DR.DRE for me.

Hans, how easy are the neon lights to fit and what type of bulb is used. I'll be trying this out in a coupla weeks.

    Hello

Looks good. Welcome to the forum. Thinking of painting my rear lights as well. debating whether it should be all red or red black. Will probably be whatever way is easiest as usual.

    Help me please

I'm trying to source a black vr6 dashboard. My insurance repairer is having trouble getting one from the stealers. The part is obselete now. They are happy to replace it if I can get one. Any ideas on where and how much would be great. Cheers Steve
  18. The same happened to me a coupla weeks ago. They are tinted but try and get a VW window as opposed to a different make. RAC windscreens tried to fit a cheaper glass and it wouldn't sit right. They have just ordered a new glass from VW with a new runner. Not sure of the price though, soz. Be careful as the glass is bonded to the runner. Make sure you clean it properly and allow time for the glass to bond properly or it won't fit. Goodluck. Steve.
  19. My leak looks like it's the thermostat housing as described by Banana man, I have a VR so it's on the right as described by Mike. Thanks chaps, I shall crack on as soon as the car is back from the insurance people. Only another 100 odd things left the list.
  20. I've got AVO top adjustables. They seem fine to me. Not to stiff at all. Not sure if this would translate to coilovers, but certainly no complaints from me. They do give you go kart handling on the stiffest setting. Can't be that bad, the other half doesn't complain of chest ache after a long drive!!!!!!!!!
  21. I'll try and make it. Like to meet some of you. I'm a shift worker so pick a date and give me a chance to swap shifts if need be.
  22. Similar thing happened to me in my Pug 205 GTI many many years ago. Not quite as well built though. Bent every panel except the passenger door. It did roll as well. Walked away from it though. Just sought of binned the bits left when the insurance finished with them.

    My Project

Looks v nice. :thumb right: :thumbleft:
  24. I'm speechless. Certainly not my look. I always thought of the C as an understated car. You know, I've the power but don't need to tell anyone. I wish him luck, not as much as the buyer though!
