Well I opted for a different method of printing on transparent plastic sheets (like the ones used on over head projectors) this meant I made the window in photoshop and didn't need to do any cutting. I think they look a lot better than any of the others I printed off... but I'd still prefer to get the real DDI ones... Anyway pic attached, quite upset that I didn't have the camera on me when the clock turned over to 150,000 exactly, lol :)

I downloaded one of these "the last ride" I think it was... apsolutely amazing  the guys a nutter!! Was one bit on it that I found quite funny, where he rides through a wall of flames that have been lit in the middle of the road.. and then a taxi randomly drives through it after him, lol  Oh and the 4th Getaway in Stockholm is out now, I wasn't that impressed to be honest.. once you've seen one, you've seen em all

I've been busy making my dials over the past couple of days.. gone for DDI replicas kinda. Still need some tweeking as they're not quite lined up right etc. Was wondering if anyone had a good method of cutting out the digital display panel? I've used a sharp craft knife as andi said, however it still looks too home made for my likeing, anyone found a better method at all? Once I've finished mine I'll post up pics and my template if anyone wants to copy :) Chris

haha that'll all soon stop when you start watching your fuel gauge... mine needs some viagra poor thing, lol Congrats on purchace, get some pics and details up! :)

I took on a 328i in my G60 about a week ago... that was pretty much exactly the same.. if anything he was a tiny bit quicker.. but difficult to tell as it wasn't a side by side race. Was happy about having the same performance as a car costing 10 times as much as mine :) Hopefully when I Stage 4 my supercharger and do a couple of other bits I should be able to pull away :)

this'd be perfect if the wheels I want will come in a higher offset! The wheels I want are 17 x 8.0 with ET35... am I right in thinking these will only just fit without the extra 15mm that one of these adapters would add? therefore meaning I wouldn't be able to fit those wheels, and the adaptors? Cheers, Chris

do a search on vwvortex forum... there was a few picture threads on there.. most of the pics are of golfs, but there are some corrado pictures Chris

lol fantastic :) Thanks a lot :)

After searching for a long ass time to find some wheels I really like, I've finally decided that I'll get some Oettinger RE's.. however these are only available in a 5 stud pattern, I was wondering whats involved in converting my G60 4 stud wheel area (you can see I know what I'm talking about   ) to the VR6 5 stud? Bournemouth 20VT James, explained that he is going to do the same conversion his corrado, but his way sounds kinda expensive: Is there an easier way, simply transferring bits from the VR6 over to the G60? and what kind of cost would I be looking at for this, taking into account I'll try get all bits required second hand? Thanks for any info Chris

Well my rieger grille arrived in the post today :) Word of advice to anyone who's interested in the little black capsule that comes in a red tube... DON'T SQUEEZE IT!! LOL!  not a great idea as my flatmate found out :-P
-
All Red in my opinion. I like mods to not look like mods, I don't like the fact that all the others look like they've been changed... To a non corrado person the all reds would look standard if done right 8)

how did you tweak the fuelling on the D turbo mate? :) - got a XRDT with the same engine and want to give it little more poke 8) Scott http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ken.waters1/306_tuning.htm The DTurbos don't have an ECU, and therefore you can manually play with the fuelling and airflow yourself. That guide posted above is something I wrote when adjusting the turbo pressure and fuelling on my DT. It's really easy to do if you have some experience in working with cars. :)

haha found you :D http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread ... &page=last You guys are dishing us out some abuse on that forum ain't ya :-P Although I offered my opinion back when this thread first started and I had a 306 (albeit a DTurbo) I now own a G60 with around 195bhp. A standard Gti6 would beat a G60 straight line, but there ain't that many standard G60's on this forum as its so easy to get the power up for relatively little money... so then it just becomes a competition of who can sink more money into their car  306 is a nice car, and I do miss mine (probably miss it more if it had been a GTi6) but I much prefer the corrado, better built, more comfortable... but its all preference at the end of the day. I'd love to race a GTi6 to see how fast they are in comparison to my car... danrem, what 306 is getting sub 14 1/4mile times? the only mental 306's I've seen are ecosse built cars which don't often run. And other people tend to use the 106 as a base instead (batchy, bic etc.) Chris

While attempting to download the Getaway in Stockholm series, one of the files I've downloaded turned out to be a short film (22mins) called "The Last Race". Its just a really cheap fast and furious, but at the start stars a Corrado racing :D get's beat by a supposed 400bhp mustang or something, but still nice to see a corrado starring in a film :) I'd post it up but its 232MB. But if you look on kazaa the file name was "Getaway In Stockholm 3 !! Full Length Movie Released 12th Oct '02(1).mpeg" might also get some results looking for "The Last Race" and then matching the file size... But yeah I thought it was interesting :-P I'm attempting to take a screen shot, but print screen doesn't show video up (the area where the image should be is just black) anyone know how to take a shot of a part of the film? Chris

ahhh, yeah I'd keep it all as one colour, either that gun metal grey I guess it is... or maybe as all black. But I think it'll look better with the center caps the same colour as the middle bit. Nice idea, looks good

my effort...

Just came across this at turbocrime.co.uk... not sure if its been posted on here before, but theres a couple of articles about the G60 and VR6 engines that may be of interest to people :) G60: http://forum.turbocrime.co.uk/cms_view_ ... php?aid=28 VR6: http://forum.turbocrime.co.uk/cms_view_ ... php?aid=27 You'll have to register if you want to see them though. jims16v, your headlights look very nice and shiney, were the later spec headlights different or something? first time I've noticed if there was a difference... -
did you just hand type all those crys? to be honest I wouldn't recommend buying a car without seeing it, especially not off ebay. Golfs are much more sellable too :)

I can't get over the amount of work put into cars like this, and they end up looking wank! all in a quest to be different and stand out :|

apparently it wasn't that good this year. I was on the PGAC stand last year with my old 306, and it was really good, gorgeous weather, lots to see etc. Bit OTT for me now tho, I don't like the whole mental show car scene.. not this kind anyway  Those are just some pictures I found on the PGAC forum.. maybe not representitive of all the cars there. There were some nicer sights tho

There must be a way to convert the 4 stud Corrados to 5 stud? It doesn't look there's many places in the UK that sell these wheels anyway, which means I'd have to get them from somewhere like the US making costs even greater :( so so nice...
