Angel eyes look crap - official - actually not too bad now
Shilakadaddy replied to pablo_vr6's topic in Exterior
that latest pic actually looks pretty good. I think just having white lights looks better -
Yeah I've heard the german plates aren't legal, but a lot of people have said they've had them on with out any trouble... so hopefully I could get away with it. As long as you don't look like a boy racer then the police will hopefully leave u alone, rather than trying to get you for the most trivial things...

gibber_2k, what year is your C? Anyone else got the white bottles as standard. I'd prefer a black bottle, but whites a step up for the blue. I'll look into the alloy tanks, but to be honest I don't think I wanna go mad on this. It'd just be nice to have a clean and tidy engine bay, with some nice chrome pipes and polished bits etc. If I go mad it'll end up costing me a sh*t lot! I'll replace something... then something else'll look odd, so that'll have to be changed... then that won't be shiney enough.... etc. etc. Cheers guys :)

I just want a 6 character plate so that I can buy some smaller german number plates... thinking I'll buy a "G60 xxx" cos they can't be that expensive :)
-
Yeah I was thinking why don't I just do that after posting this thread ... was kinda hopeing another RR day would come up at stealth so that I could have a chat with him there... but theres been one relatively recently that I missed so I doubt anyone would be interested in another so soon :( But yeah I think I'll give him a call and see whether he remembers it or not, and if he can tell me anything :)

Will have a look next time I see my car (off the road at my parents waiting for the supercharger to go back on - which by the way I picked up today from the post depot, Cheers G-Man :D will let everyone know how my car runs with it back on, and the other stuff I ordered :D) How about the manifold? du know if theres any way to identify that? or pictures of what the original looked like? Cheers :)

Couple of newb questions about the G60.. or in particular, mine  As some of you may or may not know, my G60 was previously owned by stealth racing (i bought it off the guy who bought it off them) and its had some work done to the engine (not loads, but some). And since buying it, I've been trying to find specifically whats been done to it. The spec list I was told was: 68mm Pulley Chip Some Head Work Manifold Exhaust ^ Thats pretty much how everything was phrased too... so I'm not totally sure on the details of everything. I've got a big folder of receipts and have managed to find details of a Jabba Sport 68mm Pulley and Chip Kit, and a Gas Flowed Head... also I can see on the car itself that I have a Supersprint Exhaust (or at least a backbox) My Question is, how can I identify these things to be aftermarket? Where's the CAT on a G60, so I can see if its been removed? How can I tell whether the manifold is anything different to standard? Same question for the Cams? (This was never mentioned to me, however I did a search for past post by kevhl - the forum member I bought the car off. And when he first posted about the car on here, he said it had different cams, but again no mention of what type etc.) Cheers guys, Chris 8)

Looking at G60Dans thread in the parts for sale section... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15561 Got me wanting a nice showy engine bay :D One thing I've always wondered tho is where do you get nicer coloured water tanks (the big blue water tank just doesn't look cool  ), or shiney battery covers etc? Cheers, Chris

Andy Brookes's Satin Silver VR6, its last journey...boohoo
Shilakadaddy replied to Andy Brookes's topic in Members Gallery
what?! NOOOO!!!! these are the only wheels I've liked in ages! been meaning to get some as soon as I had the cash (which to be fair wouldn't have been till the new year probably, but still...) Thats pretty upsetting :( Oh well I guess that means they're even more exclusive... just don't smash any of them  -
Thats a lot of plans! should be pretty nice once complete tho... don't agree with the bonnet vent (hood is bonnet right?) but each to their own as they say :) either way will be a very nice car! Shame about the last one, that looked pretty nice, especially with the new wheels on :(

Excellent, I'm sure 20 people will be very interested... infact more so, so could I slot myself into the queue before it gets filled? :D obviously premature, but its good to be prepared... ah the scouts said many a wise word
-
Yeah your right, would be a good laugh, just need to get some money! 8) Jim if you organised a day out at Bruntingthorpe I'd deffo come to that too :D
-
I'd go for the gathering side of things :) Too scared of writing off my car to go on the track tho :help: How much is track day insurance?

Audi A6's are hard to install :( or at least I'm finding it hard :| The A6's look good imo. Not really something you notice so much... just kinda smooths in nicely. But if your looking to do something different then look elsewhere, as a lot of C's have these now (not like thousands, but its not new  )

personally I think ebay is a rip off for audio stuff. If you get second hand stuff, then go to http://www.talkaudio.co.uk - thats the car audio direct forum, and then look in the classifieds there. People sell high end equipment at realistic prices there as they know that not many people on that forum are gonna pay over the odds... apposed to ebay  I got 2 viper d1200.1 amps off a guy on there, and they've been great (touch wood!). And I've seen loads of other great stuff for sale there
-
yeah I wouldn't fancy organising an event like that... and @ £150 a head, I wouldn't even be able to afford to go myself :!: :( Someone should do it none the less.... just so I can come and watch again :-P
-
ah I was watching you go round croft that day :) popped along with my mate who has a 306 rallye... although he wasn't on the track. Glad to see that you were holding you own against those pugs, and that civic... was quite supprised that thing wasn't faster to be honest. Its amazing how even all the cars were when on a track like croft, compared to when racing on a road. It looked like good fun either way, would be cool to have a Corrado-forum thing like the 306 guys. Would be good see how the G60 performs on a track :) especially against u VR boys
-
so is this it running? i.e. moving? when u gonna go for a drive? :D looking forward to the clips :)
-
nice 8) Would be interesting to see the air inlet temperatures before and after the new intercooler was fitted... but should see some good gains either way :)
-
All red. imho the red/black combo looks too tinted (DIY style) which I don't like.. but if red is done properly it looks really good, even on a red car :) I have just the picture to convince you
-
yep on the drivers side (i think?) I ended up stripping the thread completely when I took it off, only to realise is was a left hand thread once I'd got it off
-
Thanks for replying cheesy, and thanks to aposegil for the help you gave me :) I think we've got it sorted so it'll work, but I won't know until its all finished... fingers crossed  Anyway I've taken some pics of what we've been doing, looks a mess ....and... well it is! But hopefully will all work out in the end  I probs won't be spraying it myself as my mates dad owns a bodyshop, and I think he'll spray them at cost price, so it'll be better if I get him to do it.

I really have to get some late spec fog and indicator lights, makes the front end look so much more up-to-date.. 2 very nice corrados 8) PS. I like the look of your garage/car port thinggy :)
